Nicola Sturgeon Once Again Refuses to Rule Out Further Lockdowns

by Michael Curzon
24 August 2021 5:14 PM

Not for the first time, Nicola Sturgeon has hinted that Scotland could be plunged into yet another lockdown due to rising ‘cases’, saying that the country is now at a “fragile and potentially pivotal moment”. The National has the story.

Speaking at a Scottish Government coronavirus briefing in Edinburgh, the First Minister said the daily case figure [of 4,323 on Tuesday] is “the largest we have ever recorded in a single day”.

She said new cases in Scotland have more than doubled in the past week, making this “one of the sharpest rises we have experienced at any point during the pandemic”.

And she warned Scotland is now at a “fragile and potentially pivotal moment” in the fight against the virus as vaccinations have weakened the link between cases and serious harm but not completely broken it.

“Even with vaccination we can’t be totally relaxed about this surge in cases,” Sturgeon said.

“The link between new cases and serious health harms has weakened significantly but it has not been completely broken.

“That means the rise in cases in the last week may well result in people having to go to hospital in the coming days and perhaps requiring intensive care treatment and unfortunately a rise in cases like… I consider likely to be the case in an increase in the number of people dying.

“This means that if this surge continues and if it accelerates and if we start to see evidence of a substantial increase in serious illness as as result we cannot completely rule out having to reimpose some restrictions.” …

During the briefing the First Minister said she wanted life in Scotland to remain “normal” and that large scale outdoor events were less a cause for concern than indoor events.

She also suggested schools remaining open would be a priority for her Government. …

She added: “In terms of the restrictions that are still in place with schools [with secondary pupils required to wear face masks in class] we said the basic mitigations would be in place for at least six weeks after the return of schools…

“So we are not yet at the point of formally reviewing… we will keep mitigations in place for as long as we think is necessary to provide protection for young people and staff in schools but for no longer than we judge as necessary.”

Worth reading in full.

Sturgeon is a tinpot dictator who just relishes her opportunity to boss everyone around.

Lockdowns work so well that they have to keep on being implemented.

Sheer evil.

No doubt there is almost zero chance of it happening but I would hope that the supposed independent enquiry into her handling of covid would start with a blank piece of paper and would consider not having any sort of lockdown as a possible option that was available.

Penned by Dr Peter McCullough. Not looking good for ADE potential. We must make sure as many people know about ADE as possible, otherwise they will be blaming the unvaxxd for creating variants:

Oxford University study finds fully vaccinated Healthcare workers carry 251 times viral load compared to the unvaccinated proving the Covid-19 jabs make you worse

https://dailyexpose.co.uk/2021/08/24/oxford-university-study-finds-fully-vaccinated-healthcare-workers-carry-251-times-viral-load-compared-to-the-unvaccinated/

A groundbreaking preprint paper by the prestigious Oxford University Clinical Research Group, published Aug. 10 in The Lancet, includes alarming findings devastating to the COVID vaccine rollout.

The study found vaccinated individuals carry 251 times the load of COVID-19 viruses in their nostrils compared to the unvaccinated.

By Dr Peter McCullough

While moderating the symptoms of infection, the jab allows vaccinated individuals to carry unusually high viral loads without becoming ill at first, potentially transforming them into presymptomatic superspreaders.

This phenomenon may be the source of the shocking post-vaccination surges in heavily vaccinated populations globally.

The paper’s authors, Chau et al, demonstrated widespread vaccine failure and transmission under tightly controlled circumstances in a hospital lockdown in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.

The scientists studied healthcare workers who were unable to leave the hospital for two weeks. The data showed that fully vaccinated workers — about two months after injection with the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine (AZD1222) — acquired, carried and presumably transmitted the Delta variant to their vaccinated colleagues.

They almost certainly also passed the Delta infection to susceptible unvaccinated people, including their patients. Sequencing of strains confirmed the workers transmitted SARS-CoV-2 to one another.
This is consistent with the observations in the U.S. from Farinholt and colleagues, and congruent with comments by the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conceding COVID-19 vaccines have failed to stop transmission of SARS-CoV-2.

On Feb. 11, the World Health Organization indicated the AZD1222 vaccine efficacy of 63.09% against the development of symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection. The conclusions of the Chau paper support the warnings by leading medical experts that the partial, non-sterilizing immunity from the three notoriously “leaky” COVID-19 vaccines allow carriage of 251 times the viral load of SARS-CoV-2 as compared to samples from the pre-vaccination era in 2020.

Thus, we have a key piece to the puzzle explaining why the Delta outbreak is so formidable — fully vaccinated are participating as COVID-19 patients and acting as powerful Typhoid Mary-style super-spreaders of the infection.

Vaccinated individuals are blasting out concentrated viral explosions into their communities and fueling new COVID surges. Vaccinated healthcare workers are almost certainly infecting their coworkers and patients, causing horrendous collateral damage.

Continued vaccination will only make this problem worse, particularly among frontline doctors and nurses workers who are caring for vulnerable patients.

Health systems should drop vaccine mandates immediately, take stock of COVID-19 recovered workers who are robustly immune to Delta and consider the ramifications of their current vaccinated healthcare workers as potential threats to high risk patients and coworkers.

ADE expained in the context of COVID19:

Informed consent disclosure to vaccine trial subjects of risk of COVID-19 vaccines worsening clinical disease
https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/ijcp.13795

Results of the study
COVID-19 vaccines designed to elicit neutralising antibodies may sensitise vaccine recipients to more severe disease than if they were not vaccinated. Vaccines for SARS, MERS and RSV have never been approved, and the data generated in the development and testing of these vaccines suggest a serious mechanistic concern: that vaccines designed empirically using the traditional approach (consisting of the unmodified or minimally modified coronavirus viral spike to elicit neutralising antibodies), be they composed of protein, viral vector, DNA or RNA and irrespective of delivery method, may worsen COVID-19 disease via antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE). This risk is sufficiently obscured in clinical trial protocols and consent forms for ongoing COVID-19 vaccine trials that adequate patient comprehension of this risk is unlikely to occur, obviating truly informed consent by subjects in these trials.

Conclusions drawn from the study and clinical implications
The specific and significant COVID-19 risk of ADE should have been and should be prominently and independently disclosed to research subjects currently in vaccine trials, as well as those being recruited for the trials and future patients after vaccine approval, in order to meet the medical ethics standard of patient comprehension for informed consent.

The best way to stop transmission is through infection leading to a robust immune response and low viral loads if/when you come into contact with the virus again. It is now clear that this is the only way of reaching full herd immunity.

If I was offered the chance of being deliberately infected, I would seriously consider it (provided I would be allowed Ivermectin in the unlikely event of serious illness). This would help reduce the amount of Covid in the future, thus benefitting society, and give my (almost certainaly) long lasting immunity (20+ years if SARS if anything to go by which will benefit me as I start to approach the higher risk age groups. Sunetra Gupta (who is of a similar age to me) said something similar months ago, i.e. she would rather catch it now while at minimal risk of serious illness/death and have a strong immune response than catch it in 20 years time.

My doctor asked me if I had my vaccine yet and of course, I said no. He asked why. I told him I had concerns about potential ADE. He said “what is ADE?” I said antibody dependent enhancement. He never heard of it so I had to explain to him what it was, LOL!

I have had a similar experience with two doctors concerning so-called ‘Asymptomatic transmission.’

One doctor just went blank when the subject was raised. The second, a cardiologist couldn’t understand that a pleb such as me actually understood the subject. His view was that Asymptomatic transmission was a given. At the time he was wearing a mask supplemented by a visor. Fuckin idiot.

Scottish were the last to come out of lockdown (though technically untrue) and they’ll be the first to be plunged back in at the earliest opportunity. They seem to have served as a testbed for what the UK regime can get away with, and we’ll no doubt see Pfeffel the Fat Fuk Pig Dictator standing in front of his presidential flags giving the same solemn warning.

I have seen it suggested that only two pages of the approval are relevant, pages 2 and 12, where they are seen to be trying ‘have their mandate enabling Approval cake, while eating the EUA non-liability ‘it’.’

Apparently there is a lot of EUA ‘not a vaccine’ lying around so if this is used under a Mandate to jab troops etc and kills or maims at the rate it’s already doing, there will be no comeback on Pfizer “cos it’s EUA protected see”. But this now Approved ‘not a vaccine’ that is only thus now legally mandatable is identical to the existing ‘not a vaccine’ that is not mandatable but for which Pfizer is indemnified against all damage caused by its use, but as it is Approved now opens Pfizer to actions for ‘not a vaccine’ damage.
So, Catch-22 and hopefully lawyers will have a field day on ‘when can ‘not a vaccine’ be mandated and yet not open Pfizer to criminal charges for manslaughter or GBH?’

Sorry reply mangled:
Apparently there is a lot of ‘not a vaccine’ manufactured while the EUA gave full indemnity to Pfizer. So they intend to used this under the Approval that allows it to be mandated legally – something currently illegal under EUAs.
But, the EUA specifically protects Pfizer against law suits for damages, something that the Approval does not do.
So, Biden can mandate the ‘not a vaccine’ because it is now Approved, but the FDA is pretending that Pfizer’s EUA protection court actions against the thousands of deaths and millions of life changing side effects will remain as the ‘not a vaccine’ is identical whether manufactured before or after approval – and whether pre- or post- Approval it can now be used under mandate.
Hopefully lawyers will do their duty.

What planet is wee Jimmy Krankie living in?
On Planet Reality;
1) masks do not reduce transmission or infection in any significant way
2) social distancing has never been demonstrated to work (Porton Down’s Common Cold Unit thought at least 60ft was necessary)
3) asymptomatic transmission is not a thing, the entire fiction being based on 6 ‘cases’ and 7 questionable transmissions
4) lockdowns make no difference to mortality rates
5) at least a dozen treatment protocols that would mainly be ‘ambulatory’ and impact minimally on hospitalisation have never been used in the UK

Get a f**king grip someone before there is nothing left of the country.

She seems to be living on planet “independence” whereby she has to do things differently from England, claim success and then say that this shows Scotland is better off not being ruled from London. Obviously this is a contorted and illogical train of logic, but as long as she thinks it will boost her popularity and further the cause of independence that’s all that matters.

It may just be coincidence, but support for independence has fallen massively in Scotland from as high as 58% at the start of 2020 to possibly just below 50% now, despite a majority of Scots saying they felt Sturgeon handled Covid better than Boris (assuming the opinion polls are believable). This might be partly due to the fact that England bankrolled our lockdowns, and people realise that we would struggle in normal times without the massive subsidies we get.

Scottish women politicians have always been like this, remember a Lib Dim called Jo Swinson.

Liberal Democrat LeaderOn the 22nd of July 2019, Swinson was comfortably elected Leader of the Liberal Democrats over then-rival Sir Ed Davey.
Swinson’s short period in charge was a tumultuous one.
As Leader, Swinson continued to associate the Liberal Democrat Party with the ‘People’s Vote’ campaign for a second referendum on Brexit, doing so in the expectation of attracting pro-EU supporters at the ensuing General election.
When that election was called in December 2019, Swinson continued to champion ‘Remain’ even promising to revoke Article 50 if the Lib Dems were elected with a Majority. Throughout the campaign, Swinson pushed herself as a potential Prime Minister.
However, on election night it became clear that the Lib Dems had lost seats – including Swinson losing her own seat in East Dunbartonshire. As she was no longer an MP, Liberal Democrat rules forced her to stand down as Lib Dem leader.

The part of wanting to be Prime Minister always had me in fits of laughter…

What politicians would rule out further lockdowns, or any other measure that allows them to exercise their increased power? If they rule them out, they are probably lying.

I’d like to think that the public will see through it, but realistically I doubt if that will happen. Look at the past 18 months – politicians all over the world have repeatedly claimed things which are demonstrably untrue, and have succeeded in getting a large proportion of the public to believe them (aided, of course, by the mainstream media).

Surely Sunak would have to agree to an extended Scottish furlough? I can’t see that happening. The reality for Scotland of another lockdown would be the almost total destruction of our hospitality, tourism and heritage sectors. My experience is that most of our friends who were true believers in the deadly Covid plague have had enough and just want their lives back.

“Even with vaccination we can’t be totally relaxed about this surge in cases.” So WHAT is the point? Why are governments mandating them for all, for young people in the name of “saving” vulnerable people. What’s the point of getting vaccinated?
