If you enjoy the content on the Daily Sceptic, please help us keep the site going by becoming a donor. We’ve tried to persuade companies to advertise on the site, but it isn’t possible because ratings agencies like NewsGuard warn off potential advertisers, claiming we regularly publish ‘misinformation’. As you know, that’s just code for any point of view that challenges the approved narrative, whether it’s about climate change, immigration or public health. As a result, the only reliable source of revenue for us are your donations.
But we’re not asking for something for nothing.
If you donate at least £5/month or £50/year to the Daily Sceptic and create an account, you can then log in and you’ll be entitled to the following benefits:
- You’ll be able to read the articles behind our paywall
- You’ll receive those paywalled articles in the daily email newsletter
- You’ll be able to watch or listen to the longer Premium version of the Sceptic, our weekly podcast. (To listen to the Premium version on your favourite podcasting app, click on RSS link at the bottom of the page on our site promoting the latest podcast.)
- You’ll be able to comment below the line on all our articles and connect with other users
- You’ll be able to listen to every article if that’s more convenient than reading it
The way to create an account after you’ve made a one-off donation for the first time is to click on the link that is sent to the email address you supplied when you donated and follow the instructions. Once you’ve completed that process, you’ll be logged in and you can then start enjoying all the benefits. You’ll also be able to access your account – to cancel a recurring donation, for instance – by clicking on the account button in the top right-hand corner of the home page (or, if you’re on a phone or a tablet, on the “My Account” button at the bottom of the hamburger menu in the top left-hand corner of the home screen). If you make a recurring a donation for the first time, there will be need to click on a link sent via email. Rather, you’ll be asked to enter an email address, create a public username and create a password as part of the donating process. At the end of that process, you’ll be logged in and should be able to access all the Premium benefits.
If you’re already a donor but cannot access the perks when you log in, it’s probably because the email address associated with your account doesn’t match the email address you used when you donated. Test that by logging out and logging back in again using the same email address you used when you made a donation. If you still can’t access the premium benefits, best thing to do is contact us and we can then fix the problem (and we’ll be in touch to confirm we’ve fixed that shortly afterwards).
If you already have an account on this website but haven’t donated before, make sure you’re logged in, then make a donation. After that, if you’ve made a one-off donation of at least £5, or set up a recurring donation for at least £5 a month or £50 a year, you should automatically be given access to all the Premium benefits.
If you’re logged in, you already have an account and you’ve donated before and the emails match, but you’ve forgotten your password, you should be able to reset it if you click on the account button (or click here) then select “Change Password” at the bottom of the screen.
