Under-30s to Be Offered Alternative to AstraZeneca Vaccine Following MHRA Investigation

by Michael Curzon
7 April 2021 4:48 PM

Britain’s vaccine rollout is to undergo a “course correction” that will see people below the age of 30 being offered alternatives to the AstraZeneca vaccine, following advice from the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The MHRA said there is a possible link between this vaccine and “extremely rare and unlikely to occur” blood clots. Government advisors have stopped short of restricting the use of the AZ jab in younger people altogether, despite considering doing so.

Up to March 31st, 79 people in the UK developed blood clots following their first AstraZeneca jab. Nineteen of these people have died. The Chief Executive of the MHRA said: “The risk [of getting blood clots after receiving the AZ vaccine] is four people in a million.” Sky News has the story.

Britons aged 18-29 will be offered an alternative to the AstraZeneca vaccine following 79 people developing blood clots after the jab, Government advisors have decided.

The MHRA concluded there is a possible link between the AZ vaccine and “extremely rare and unlikely to occur” blood clots with lowered platelets.

Younger people are much less likely to die from Covid so the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has decided it is safer to advise that age group are offered a different jab, where possible. …

The advice is being given after a total of 79 people in the UK have had blood clots following their first AstraZeneca jab up to March 31st, Dr June Raine, chief executive of the MHRA said. More than 20 million people have been given the AZ vaccine.

Of those 70 people, 19 have died – three under the age of 30.

A total of 51 women and 28 men aged 18 to 79 were affected but Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed, Chair of the Commission on Human Medicines, said there is no evidence women have a predilection to develop blood clots after having the AZ jab.

“The risk is four people in a million,” Dr Raine added.

The UK is currently also rolling out the Pfizer Covid vaccine and, most recently, the Moderna vaccine, but people below the age of 30 will only be given these alternatives where possible.

JCVI chairman Professor Wei Shen Lim said: “We are advising a preference of one vaccine over another vaccine for a particular age group out of utmost caution rather than any serious safety concerns.”

He added that people who are just over 29 years-old should make their decision, but getting the vaccine is much safer than not getting it.

Worth reading in full.

Stop Press: A review by the European Medicines Agency has also concluded that “unusual blood clots with low blood platelets should be listed as very rare side effects” of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Stop Press 2: In an article for the Spectator, Ross Clark asks whether the writing is on the wall for the AZ jab.

The Government has invested a huge amount of money and faith in the AstraZeneca vaccine, and has rightly been praised for its rapid rollout, which was based on the best evidence at the time. The AstraZeneca vaccine has been wrongfully attacked by President Macron among others, who declared it to be “quasi-ineffective” in the over-65s – without any evidence. It will take political courage to admit that the AstraZeneca vaccine is second-best, and should perhaps be phased out as other vaccines become available in substantial quantities. But it is beginning to look as if that might be the most likely outcome.

Very much worth reading in full.

precautionary principle goes out the window when it comes to their sponsors experimental gene therapy ‘vaccines’

I have a 1 in 32000 chance of dying of covid and 1 in 100000 chance of dying of the vaccine. How confident of that second number are we? Maybe a 1 in 4 chance that we learn something in the future that makes that second number much worse? After all, the the vaccine was ‘completely safe’ until they realised it was ‘still very safe’. What will we think in 5 years time? The people that discovered X-rays thought it was safe because the side-effects came a lot later on (they all died of cancer).

  1. It’s 4 not 1 in 1,000,000, so actually a 1 in 250,000.
  2. It’s a 1 in 250,000 chance of dying because of blood clots. How about all the other ways it could kill you?

You did and I had to do a double take to check whether or not you said 1 in 1,000,000 or 1 in 100,000. I think it was an easy mistake to make if the commas, or spaces are omitted.

All the same I agree completely with both of you. I think the odds associated with adverse effects from the so-called ‘vaccines’ can only get shorter as we now begin to look more carefully at the adverse events.

I should have put in the comma – slack of me!

The point I make to others is – you can’t prove a new drug is safe – you can only fail to prove its not safe. The longer you go the more it appears to be safe. You just can’t say anything is safe after 6 months. There will be countless examples in history of things looking safe until a few years down the track.

That is a very good point with which I wholly concur. Neither can you look for rare, but severe adverse effects on a cohort of just 30,000 in the trial. It’s not surprising that once they broaden out the experiment these serious side effects become apparent.

Your point is well made. Which is why we have timescales for the assessment of risk – to give a reasonable (not absolute) insight into that risk.

Breaching such protocols can be justified in particular circumstances where the balance of risk is wholly abnormal.

SARS-CoV-2 doesn’t fulfil any such criterion.

Yeah. And those clotting case numbers and deaths have happened while the vast majority injected have been over 65. As the recipients get younger and, probably,as second doses happen, the ratio may get much more worrying.
But why give rna vaccines as a “safer” option? The same problems have been seen with these in the States.
And no one knows these reports and risks and statistics better than Fauci, Whitty, Vallance, Ferguson etc.
Coerced consent.

Ha! Credibility destroyed.

And all because of political and media pressure. Nothing to do with any due diligence by MHRA. What a joke.

If the AstraZeneca vaccine is now recalled and it’s a more conventional vaccine, then how can I trust the mRNA vaccines? Does anyone have any idea how experimental these things are? They basically reprogram the human body at the genetic level. We don’t even have the terminology to understand the implications of rolling out a gene therapy on this scale.

Take your passport and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine! No job, holiday or football game is worth the risk to my health of an experimental gene therapy, thanks.

Why any healthy individual under 60 thinks any of these vaccines are worth the risk is beyond me!

Someone brought up the subject of returning to the office. OMFG. I can see some will no doubt refuse to enter the same building as me given the responses I saw.

… but I don’t need fucking ‘does he take sugar’ stuff and being used by any crap academic with significance problems and less intelligence as a fucking excuse to deprive everyone of a proper life, or an excuse to impose a fucking leaky experimental vaccine on any section of the population.

Thank you very much (aimed at any of the cupid stunt who may be listening) – I’ll take my chances, regulate my own behaviour appropriately and take the consequences. I don’t need everyone to be reduced to a servile bovine existence, or wish myself to be wilfully deprived of yet another of my few remaining years.

some of us predicted this – I think the ultimate goal now is to consolidate vaccines with the aim of eliminating non-MRNA ones. I feel there is immense pressure to get as many people, in particular the young onto the MRNA. Johnson hasn;t said a word nor pledged any support for AstraZeneca. On top of that all I see is constant praise for Pfizer by the mainstream media

I feel sorry for those who have been psychologically manipulated and coerced into thinking that taking an experimental therapy, to treat a virus that has a minimal effect on a healthy and young person, is the best course of action.

So here’s the thing, If I was (if only!) under 30 and was being told that they are not going foist the AZ on me because they’ve only just discovered that there might be a serious problem with it (despite previously promising to all and sundry that it was totally safe) but will foist another new experimental “vaccine” on me, I think I’d have to be pretty dumb to accept them telling me that the new one is totally safe, even though they can’t possibly know whether or not any new “vaccine” wont be equally problematic as the AZ. DUH!

I am confused by this – have they done studies to see if the blood clots affect the under 30’s? There is very little evidence of studies regarding the vaccines at all. Am I assume it is emminently better for them to be injected with untested, untrialled RNA type vaccine? And who are the grossly irresponsible parents who were letting their children act as guinea pigs in the children studies? Child abuse really.

I don’t think our reporting system for adverse effects is sufficiently rigorous to be able to provide the necessary data with which the MHRA can make informed decisions. We are told of 79 cases and 19 deaths – a few weeks ago there were no reported cases. I think they are taking their guidance from the much more complete and thorough investigations being carried out in Norway, Sweden, Germany and elsewhere.

My 83 year old aunt after AZ shivering , headache, joint pains, unable to sleep, rash. Said she felt dreadful for 3 days;
My friend 52 after AZ, severe headache, joint pains, d and vomiting, stomach pains, shivering. In bed for 4 days took 8 days to feel better;
21 year old niece AZ off work for 2 days – shivering, severe headache, vomiting, dizziness, joint pain;
79 year old MIL after second dose of AZ headache, shivering, joint pains headache, felt concerned enough to ring family to discuss if should ring ambulance.

Other issues two people didn’t associate with the AZ vaccination, but may be due to it as happened very shortly after – lower spinal cord inflammation with urinary retention in one person in another severe nasal sinus pain and in hospital for a week.

Not one of these people reported these symptoms and know nothing about the yellow card system. Why would they?

Same for these 2 peoples Pfizer vaccination side effects – second dose in a 44 year old woman shivering, headache off work for 1 day. In a 54 year old male, first dose – whole body joint pains, headache, feeling sick, fatigue.

I am certain side effects are very, very, very much under reported.

Both my parent’s in their middle-late 60’s got the AZ jab and were very ill with the same conditions you mention. I tried so hard to dissuade them from getting the jab, but now the immediate side-effects have passed, they think everything is fine and there was nothing to worry about.

Well I’m worrying for them.

Next is the futile attempt to avert them from their ‘booster’ jab, which they’re no doubt very excited for. My contempt for this criminal government and their fellow conspirators is immeasurable.

It didn’t matter how much those of us warned about the dangers of these vaccines, still people went out and got the jab and tried to justify it like Peter Hitchens did.

I hope someone of Toby’s mindset can explain why you would spend so much time proving that the dangers of this virus are grossly exaggerated… to then go and get a vaccine for it.

No doubt same people will be first in the queue to get their vaxport to so-called “freedom”.

For a very detailed account of how the US government has mismanaged the pandemic read the new book Pandemic Blunder; here is info:
Bold New Book Pandemic Blunder Shows How Government Caused Preventable Covid Deaths
A huge amount of data and information not covered by mainstream media are in Pandemic Blunder that tells the story of how over 300,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 unnecessarily because the government has blocked early home treatment and prevention. With over 500,000 COVID deaths, learning about safe and effective early home treatment/prevention is more important than ever.
About the Book:Pandemic Blunder contains considerable medical information and data to support a number of proven safe, cheap generic medicines and protocols that knock out the coronavirus when given early. Read about the pioneering, courageous doctors who have been using innovative approaches to prevent their COVID patients from needing hospital care and facing death. The book includes many expert opinions from doctors who support the view that 70 to 80 percent of COVID deaths could have been prevented—and still can be. Don’t be victimized by disinformation and propaganda. Learn how corrupt forces are aiming to make billions of dollars from expensive medicines and vaccines, and how hundreds of thousands of deaths could have—and should have—been prevented!

PANDEMIC BLUNDER – FAUCI AND PUBLIC HEALTH BLOCKED EARLY HOME COVID TREATMENT Synopsis
Pandemic blunder is defined as the failure of the United States public health system and federal agencies to support and promote early home/outpatient treatment for the COVID-19 pandemic disease. Considerable medical information and data convincingly show that when given early a number of proven safe, cheap generic medicines and protocols knock out the coronavirus. Early means within the first few days of getting symptoms or a positive test. Some pioneering and courageous doctors have been using innovative approaches to prevent their covid patients from needing hospital care and facing death. Many expert views of doctors and Real World Evidence support the view that 70 percent to 80 percent of covid deaths could have been prevented – and still can for future victims of the disease. Learn how hundreds of thousands of deaths could have and should have been prevented.
This book does more than describe the pandemic blunder, it can help Americans protect their lives by not being victimized by disinformation and propaganda from leftist media. Pandemic management has failed because of corrupt forces aiming to make billions of dollars from expensive medicines and vaccines. There has been a widespread dereliction of duty on the part of many local, state, and federal government officials.

Having felt obliged (various reasons) to have the first jab (Astrazeneca) 2 weeks ago, I’m now thinking I should refuse the second one – for the reasons implied in this article as well as for others. Should (for instance) my wife stop communicating with me if I refuse to have the second jab, and I consequently feel obliged to have it, how do I avoid Astrazeneca this time?!

BBC commentary (Damian Gramaticus sp?) on AZ vaccine is to compare the risk to a person getting killed in a road accident, therefore favouring taking the vaccine. Extremely odd as the obvious risk would be for someone dieing of Covid, which presumably for a fit 30 year old would lead to a different conclusion.

I was told that an under 70yr old with no underlying conditions is at more risk from an RTA than from Covid.
That is before any preventative measures such as Vitamins / zinc are taken and before any curative medicines such as Invermectin or Budesonide are taken

There’s an age where someone without underlying conditions should not being taking this. I guess the data is saying something like 60+. At the same time they are “trialing” on children. Anyone involved with that should be locked up.
