Nightclubs to Ignore Government Plea to Check Customers’ Vaccine Status

by Michael Curzon
14 July 2021 9:29 AM

The Government’s insistence that it the “social responsibility” of large indoor events to check vaccine passports is “disingenuous and unclear“, says the Night Time Industries Association as two of the biggest nightclub chains have ruled out introducing such checks. Rekom U.K. and Tokyo Industries will reopen next week without discriminating against unvaccinated customers, but Government officials have warned that vaccine passports could become mandatory in the near future if hospitality venues don’t play ball.

Theatres and festivals are considering introducing vaccine passports, but cinemas are more resistant to the idea. The Times has more.

Peter Marks, Chief Executive of Rekom U.K., said yesterday that its 42 venues would reopen next week “at full capacity and without any requirement for a negative Covid test, something we believe would create a barrier to both customer enjoyment and getting the industry back on its feet”.

Aaron Mellor, Founder of the nightclub chain Tokyo Industries, will reopen all of its 45 venues next week aside from those that cater for university students who are away during the summer.

“Many of our events have already been sold out and to ask us now retrospectively to force a vaccine passport is super-difficult to manage,” he said. “You’ve also got to consider that many of our target age group are people in the 18-25 bracket who haven’t had the option to have two vaccinations yet.”

Michael Kill, Chief Executive of the Nighttime Industries Association, said the industry was at risk of being “scapegoated” for a rise in cases resulting from other factors including the European football championships.

At a meeting with nightlife groups yesterday, Government officials stressed that coronavirus passports could become mandatory further down the line. The Times reported last week that plans were being drawn up to extend their use to other entertainment and hospitality settings in the autumn.

Cinemas have said they would resist such a move. Phil Clapp, Chief Executive of the U.K. Cinema Association, said: “We believe that the overwhelming majority of our members continue to oppose the notion that audience members should be required to show evidence of a double Covid vaccination or negative test before being allowed into their venues.

“U.K. cinemas have throughout the pandemic repeatedly shown their ability to offer a safe and enjoyable environment, as evidenced by the fact that not a single case of Covid has been traced back to a cinema site.”

Theatres are more amenable to the proposal, however. London theatre groups including Nimax, Delfont Mackintosh, LW Theatres and the Really Useful Group met yesterday to agree on an industry standard for Covid certification.

They will recommend that theatregoers bring proof of their vaccination status from next week when venues have opened at full capacity, despite the fact that they are not required to do so by the Government.

Festivals have also welcomed the measures. Paul Reed, Chief Executive of the Association of Independent Festivals, said that it supported Covid passports as a “short-term measure to kickstart our £1.76 billion festival industry safely”.

He added: “With no legal requirement to do this, it is going to come down to what is acceptable at a localised level with relevant authorities and directors of public health.”

Greg Parmley, Chief Executive of LIVE, which represents the live music industry, said: “We were supportive of mandatory Covid certification for large events to allow us to reopen and now expect those large events, where organisers feel it is necessary, to move forward with certification to build customer confidence.”

Worth reading in full.

How have we descended into such chaos that a gangly teen manning a ticket booth or cloakroom at a theatre has a divine right to know MY PERSONAL CHOICE about taking an unlicensed experimental medication. In this age where it’s become such a minefield legally, where you cannot get away with any discrimination of any isms, we are seeing potentially the discrimination against 49% of the British population.

I’m pretty sure that that youth, gangly or otherwise, will not want to do this at all. In my experience of going to pubs very few staff or establishments are following the rules as they are now. It is lip service for the most part.

I think you have a point.

Resistance to the idea is going to be absolutely crucial – gumming up the works when asked for this nonsense, arguing, slowing everything down so that it becomes unviable.

But … but … that requires numbers and, perhaps, organisation. An organised group who, one after another, argue their odds at the box office or entrance could screw things – as long as they hold out against the inevitable ‘quiet life’ merchants.

It now should be obvious to anyone not totally brainwashed that the whole business is a con in aid of Big Pharma, the governors of the WHO, since the evidence (particularly from Israel) is that the vaccines offer no advantage in terms of transmission, and only some possible amelioration of symptoms.

The problem is that the brainwashed are a large percentage. And of those who are not, they see the ‘vaccine’ attribute of possibly ameliorating symptoms as worth it in itself and they don’t want anyone getting in the way of that ‘comfort’ however illogical that is. A lot of the problem , and a very clear sign of the conniving evilness of governments and public health, is the refusal to offer cheap, generic drugs like ivermectin to do the same job.

Can’t argue with you about the large number of brainwashed. It is THE fundamental problem – without them, the government couldn’t get away with the Mengele scam.

Covid “vaccines” offer amelioration of symptoms by vastly increasing the chances of early death for recipients. Only fools and the woefully ignorant would allow these iintentionally dangerous concoctions to be pumped into their bodies.

A little insight into the world of the brainwashed.

My husband ( a double-jabbed Believer) was on a conference call today with 2 of his colleagues. The male colleague had been at a “vaxx” centre when another man fell to the floor and started fitting immediately after being jabbed. The female colleague (who had been unwell after her 1st pfizer jab) dismissed the possibility of this being an adverse reaction because it had happened too soon. Her reasoning was that as she’d felt nervous before getting jabbed, the guy fitting must have been having a panic attack.

Unlike the aforementioned woman, I accept that both scenarios are possible, but it’s clearly going to take a lot for the jabbed to admit that they were duped

I am also married to a double jabbed believer. We were reasonably happily married. Now I despise and loathe him for his beliefs and values which are at the opposite end of the spectrum to mine. I’ve asked him to leave but he won’t go. He is in as much a state of denial about the state of our relationship as he is about the Covid scamdemic and it’s sinister progression into global tyranny.

Extend that to the wider issue of close family relationships breaking down, and you have a manufactured social crisis of massive proportions.

I’ve always been irreligious – but have also accepted the social glue that religion can supply for some people. The Covid shit-show has essentially destroyed the credibility of most religions as the hierarchies have turned to Mammon and away from their congregations.

The poison has spread to any number of social formations.

The nearest parallel is clearly the destruction of benevolent social ties. That is the hallmark of totalitarian states.

I turn to religious vocabulary : this is irredeemably evil.

This is very interesting and very sad. I have a husband who is on the fence simply through serendipity (we were going to be away on the date for the second jab, in quarantine for the next go (is someone up there on my side?) and now my constant nagging. He can’t believe that there is an evil behind all this like I do. But I have warned that we are unlikely to survive if he goes ahead – how can a couple survive when one has had their freedoms to do most things taken away from them and the other is free to do what they want?

Good point. We now have self-brain washing on top of the external threat, whereby the brainwashed will seek a rationale in the face of contrary evidence. Essentially confirmation bias, but on a massive scale.

It’s a major component of the gases that boil frogs when lit, so that now, when the deceptive strategies are in plain sight, there is still massive support for them.

What’s a ‘theatre type’, FFS? How do they differ from the ‘football types’ who were complicit in allowing the the Euro final to go ahead under constraints?

How many football fans refused to watch the box on principle?

The sort of resentful prejudices I see from some on this site aren’t a great testimony to brain power and rationality – just to obsessive axe-grinding.

i suspect there have always been about 20% of the population ( at least) who are closet fascists. Not the ‘skin head’ type of thug, but the old ‘colonial class’.
Having spent a little time in Tunbridge Wells ( too long!) I can testify to their continuing existence, even if not in full sight. Many were regular visitors to ‘town’ to see the opera or theatres.

Agreed entirely. It pisses me off beyond measure when I see the spoilt brat millionaire footballers pushing extremist politics in our face every single match. I refused to support England since it was only them I saw take the knee.

While BLM tear down our history and demand we self-flagellate for our supposed sins, under the charge that we as a people are inherently evil, and our lives and liberties are being utterly smashed to smithereens, these footballers have lived an extremely comfortable life barely touched by the effects of the madness administered by BLM and our establishment.

I guarantee the elite, footballers included, will not have adhered to the same rules of lockdown as the general public. Kay Burley and co. only got found out because they were so arrogant and negligent with the photos they took of themselves.

I was glad England got beat, because Pfeffel, Khan and the rest could not ride the wave of success. They would have used it to push that faux nationalism we saw with veteran’s day, Tom Moore, NHS etc, and used it to drive the ‘vaccine’ even more.

Well, I am a ‘football type’. And I watched the Euro’s. Though I did cancel my Sky Sports subscription when during the first live game after the first lockdown, I saw them disinfecting a football in the pouring rain. Oh, and both sides ‘took the knee’ while the commentators babbled on about racial justice.

I called Sky and cancelled the sports subscription, and when asked why, I told them exactly. “Politics needs to be kept out of sport, but Sky in their wisdom have decided to lecture the masses on things they really know nothing about.”

The Sky rep actually told me that I wasn’t the only one to cancel on such reasons, and very shortly after that Sky stopped all the BLM promoting.

Now, not watching the Euro’s won’t really achieve anything. Not paying your TV licence in enough numbers might…

Hope that means you also cancelled your TV licence?

I’d also add that Sky Sports very much do know about cultural Marxism. They’ve been exponentially blasting the UK public with it for years, but it’s hit a point, for me at least, where it isn’t bearable anymore. When I bought my current house I made sure we were not going to by a TV licence and therefore we would not be getting Sky.

I’ve never regretted this decision. In fact, when I visit my parent’s and the TV is on, I always insist they either turn it off or mute it. The degenerate shit that is televised now is headache inducing within minutes! It has got so bad since I lived with my parent’s a few years ago, even I’m shocked when I see it now.

I moved in with my now wife in 2014. You can’t cancel what you never had. And yes I have Sky, so make of that what you will 😉

And I agree that Sky (sports) know all about cultural Marxism. They know exactly what they are doing. It’s the lying I was really getting at. Pretending BLM is all about racial justice is just plain dishonest. I really wanted to call to tell the guy on the phone that Sky are lying c***s, but I was just being diplomatic 😉

And I share you frustration with the tv. I tend to use it for YouTube and boxsets. And with us being blessed recently with a baby daughter, the tv is something she should experience. All the propaganda will all be pointed out to her though.

It’s the schools I worry about for when she is due to go… 🙁

I suggest when booking a theatre seat ask the question “will you be requiring me to wear a mask” then make a point of saying “OK no thanks then.” if the answer is yes. In fact I’d recommend everyone do a mass phone in to theatres or any other venue asking the same question. If they answer no,, say “thank you very much, I know where to come from now on”, to encourage them.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) was the 24th leading cause of death in May 2021 in England (accounting for 0.9% of all deaths registered in May) and the 31st leading cause of death in Wales (0.6% of all deaths).

Discrimination is always permitted if it is against whomever the government dislikes or wants others to dislike. It is also a useful tool to shape society; if you want people to restrict speech make something a “hate crime” and that’s it. In South Africa there were open calls to kill white people, but that is seen as the norm there so no-one bats an eye.

What is it the Joker said in Dark Knight Rises: Nothing happens if everything goes according to plan, even if the plan is horrible…

Dismantle government. Infinitesimal government is best. Let Freedom Reign or live in the dire consequences of it’s death.

Let me explain what is going on. The government will not legislate on this because they know it would be struck down. Like the UK’s internet censorship, compliance with this authoritarian programme will be largely a matter of gentlemen’s agreements. Unchallengeable in Westminster, unchallengeable in court, and of course unchallenged by the lickspittle media.

It’s called state corporatism.

… and that’s the horror.

For me, and I would hope others of my generation in particular, the principles of the Nuremberg code and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights etc. were devised in a series of ‘Never Again!’ moments – hard won after WWII.

To spit on those principles is to spit on the generation that fought for them, and the sight of Johnson et. al. holding November poppy wreaths in their hypocritical paws makes me want to vomit.

The complicity that allows it also has me heaving as Mengele comes back from the dead, disguised in a cloak of quaking self-interest disguised as faux social concern.

but Government officials have warned that vaccine passports could become mandatory in the near future.

As many noted when this was first mooted, the cowardly government wanted to grant unconstitutional and possibly illegal (under various protective legislation, including the 2010 Equality Act) powers to private business to monitor and coerce vaxx uptake and enforce mask wearing only to save its own skin. Now it in turn is forced to raise the stakes and bluff, and that bluff should be called.
While we have a the best of all hands, the British Constitution and the Common Law effectively forming five of a kind, the Government has at best an empty unenforceable threat of yet another ministerial decree that would hardly constitute a pair of 2s. And I suspect even the toady spineless Westminster MPs might not be inclined to commit political Hara-Kiri with this one. The Cabinet is running out of room to manoeuvre its agenda.

The test for getting a covid certificate (for the unvaxxed) is the LFT test-at-home. The test is unsupervised and the result is what you ‘say’ it is.

Therefore the ‘certificate’ is nothing of the sort – it proves nothing other than you claim to be negative.

Why does this loophole exist? Well, if it didn’t exist then in order to have a social life (a basic human right) you would need either to be vaxxed (which is voluntary) or be tested (also voluntary). The certificate would make one of these things mandatory which is illegal.

Due to work -I do exactly that, just send in a negative result.
They are rolling back lft later this summer – then i expect it will be a choice of vacc or carry on with the lft but it will cost.

There is something of a moral dilemma in perpetrating this fraud.

I’m all in favour at one (obvious) level. On the other hand, everything that goes along with the framework also reinforces it.

It turns my stomach to collaborate with this evil in any way shape or form, even by cheating it. I refuse to wear a lanyard or utter the word “exempt” re masks either.

“All war is deception.” – Sun Tzu

Lanyards are definitely out, they are no better than face masks for signalling compliance – so I’m with you there!
However its perhaps best to ditch minor scruples, as what matters is not wearing a mask and being seen by others not to be wearing one.
Good manners matter even in a crisis, imho, and showing courtesy toward those security staff charged with enforcement is important; as ultimately they are not our enemy – the government is – and confrontation is pointless.
After a few weeks last year of being challenged at the start of this madness, entry to regular places or public transport became a matter of a knowing smile, wave, or mostly no interaction at all. It has largely remained that way over the last year or so unless there is a particularly new, young or keen jobsworth on duty, at which point a simple “exempt” does the job; they soon get bored after that.
Needs must….

Waiting to see what the Ambassador Theatre group say, as I have ticket for September, but as far as I am concerned, the can recommend all they like. I reserve the right to ignore any measure that is not written in law, and I will take court action against anyone denying me access to facilities that other are permitted to avail themselves of.

Can you afford it? That is the Catch-22 of eqaulity under the law.

Nightclub owners and other targeted venues should refuse all cooperation with the government’s “advice” and make it try to enforce its dystopian “vaccine” passports by law. Otherwise the government gets its way without facing any proper legal scrutiny of its actions.

Have nightclub owners and others yet realised that the plan is to put them out of business permanently? Next it will be pubs and restaurants etc etc. Like many other aspects of current government policy, this is a fight to the death and quite literally so for many.

People are blinkered. They don’t believe that the unthinkable can happen, even after what has happened in the last year and a half. My husband works in the travel industry and firmly believes that everything will be back to normal next year. I hope that he is right ( he doesn’t like to wrong!) but nothing I’m reading seems to support that. He’s in for a shock when I get dragged off the gualog!

The government would do well to heed what is happening in South Africa right now. See article below. This is what lockdown and restrictions do. It could very likely happen here too.

I asked in our Sainsburys store today what their mask policy would be on Monday. They expect to hear from the bosses tomorrow. I’m emailing them today to state my opinions and warn them I’ll be shopping elsewhere if they keep the masks by choice.

I saw on twitter that Sainsbury’s will not be requiring masks to be worn – but not sure of provenance

I’m thinking that chance has come and gone. It’s ‘hail and farewell to Britain’ at this point. Our ancestors would be ashamed.

It is important to remember:

  • The manufacturers of the vaccines themselves warn that the vaccines do not stop infection.

So we know these vaccines have nothing to do with protecting our health. In fact, everything that the government has done sine March 2020 has been to the overall detriment of our health and predictably so.

Each of us can make up our own minds about why they are pushing vaccines but just remember. Nothing to do with health. Nothing.

I would never enter any venue that required me to show my health status, whether I had taken the vaccine or not. If I am alone in this way of thinking then I will gladly step aside because I do not ever want to share a room with such spineless amoral human beings.

Keep real. It’s not ‘communist’ Johnson.

It’s right-wing, Tory, Brexiteer Johnson.

Just an irrefutable fact.

I hold no candle for the woeful simplicities (aka ‘lying’) of either brand of shit politics. But please don’t indulge in the same sort of truth-bending here that we see from the Covid myth-makers.

Lockdown is communist, Kim Jong Johnson imposed communism, ergo Kim Jong Johnson is a communist.

There is nothing right-wing about lockdown, you imbecile, nothing right-wing about communism.

Lockdown is a policy imported from a communist dictatorship that has concentration camps.

Note that Corbynite Mark Drakeford has been even more illiberal than GREAT FAT COMMUNIST FRAUD Kim Jong Johnson. However, as a Corbynite, Drakeford has never posed as a libertarian while Kim Jong Johnson has repeatedly and fraudulently posed as one.

I await your next load of balderdash, trying to claim that lockdown is something other than communist.

Yeah, and I have to take issue with you calling Boris a Brexiteer. He isn’t. He pretended to be for self interest. he took an age with his decision which camp he was going to be in. Cameron was praying he would join his side. I have never forgotten that. Either you want out the EU, or you don’t. Not much to think about if you are in politics. And during the referendum, all his family grassed him up anyways.

I am still amazed all Tory base lapped him up. And my dad, Gees. Lectured me when I voted Tory in 2005. He didn’t speak to me for 6 weeks after, because I betrayed the working class. He turns round and votes for Boris!

That last General Election. Boris pretending he was a Brexiteer, and Corbyn (a life long Brexiteer) pretending he was a Remainer.

Still, as mad as that election, the madness has only intensified under Boris’ government. (Oh, and he stole Corbynomics too…but lets not get into that!)

Yes, before discovering the nickname of Kim Jong Johnson, I referred to him as both Jeremy Johnson and Boris Corbyn.

It will be interesting to see how many decide not to attend theatres and festivals. Festivals are outdoor events and really shouldn’t need to discriminate between the haves and have nots. This is a great opportunity for the smaller festivals to declare they will not discriminate. However, it has been noticeable to me over the last few years that the arts industry is very leftwing. Therefore the theatres and festivals may just have begun their own collapse

In other words…
“Do it or we’ll do it”

No choice not to have a vaxx-pass. This will NEVER be a temporary thing. It also doesn’t protect health in any way, as neither does the ‘vaccine’ either.

REMEMBER!

There has never been a successful coronavirus vaccine, the flu vaccine is barely 35% effective and that is after 50 years of trial and error. It also will make new strains as a result.

Every dictatorship starts off small and grows into an all consuming beast. However, technology will be used more and more to keep us down.

RESIST BIG GOVERMENT AT EVERY TURN!

Let’s hope this is correct and night club operators do indeed push back and refuse to be the governments unpaid police force. Sadly I have no confidence that they won’t cave in.

Vaccine passports are entirely voluntary, but if you don’t use them, we will make them mandatory.
