The Government is considering pausing its plans for compulsory vaccination for health service staff over fears of the mass sacking of more than 70,000 NHS workers. The i has the story.
A temporary suspension of the controversial policy is being “actively” looked at within the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) amid dire warnings from hospital trusts and GPs of the severe impact of staff shortages on services, sources said.
All staff in patient-facing roles are currently required to have two jabs from April 1st or face dismissal.
The need for a gap between doses means that anyone who does not get their first dose by February 3rd will be told they will be losing their job, with little chance of redeployment.
With several Tory MPs vigorously opposed to the compulsory vaccination plan for NHS staff, not least because of the impact a staffing crisis will have on their local hospitals, a pause would also help Boris Johnson in his battle to avoid a confidence vote by his own party.
Pressure on the PM and Health Secretary to halt the mandatory jabs programme has intensified in the past week amid new internal Whitehall documents suggesting two jabs would not be enough to cope with the Omicron variant.
i‘s analysis of NHS England figures shows 80,092 NHS workers have not had a single dose of the Covid vaccine, and a Government impact assessment has warned 73,000 patient-facing workers are unjabbed.
Those who are medically exempt will be able to keep their jobs.
The Royal College of Nursing has warned that it will be an act of “self-sabotage” at a time when the NHS is suffering from staff shortfalls.
One London trust alone warned it could have to fire 1,600 staff, and several trusts across the country are understood to have asked NHS England to urge the DHSC to rethink.
One Government source said its line remained unchanged, adding: “We are cracking on with the policy.”
However, MPs have pounced on a little-noticed hint from Mr Johnson himself, when he told lockdown-sceptic backbenchers that “we will reflect on the way ahead”.
If Boris has any sense then he will not only be considering this but will do it, and will not make it temporary. The mandate on care home staff – a sector similarly short of workers – should also be removed and those sacked in the autumn welcomed back.

Sacking 70,000 workers will make a useful impact on the wages bill. In fact, why not sack all staff – that would save the cash-strapped NHS
I as a nhs worker I know this deadline will never happen for the simple fact guidelines tell us that if you’ve been infected recently you should wait 12 weeks before vaccination to avoid ADE. If anyone cares to look where infections have been high together with vaccination you will see that deaths from all cause mortality spiking. Professor Norman Fenton from Queen Mary’s university London mentions this, that any life saved by vaccination is erased by increased deaths from other causes. So if you’ve recently been infected bring this information to your employer or seek a medical exemption.
Forcing people to be vaccinated (not just NHS staff) is loathsome and cynical.
In the case of health workers, if they really were a danger to patients, they should have been forced out last year at the same time as care workers. But the government realised they may need them through the winter, even if they were ridden with what the government considered to be a serious disease. This is a disgusting use of bully boy tactics and all those that support it should be sacked.
A temporary suspension is not enough. Ongoing vaxxing during a pandemic will only worsen things according to Drs Paul Alexander and Geert Vanden Bossche. No one seems to be listening.

So hardly anybody is dying, hospital beds lay empty, it’s 100% understood that you can both catch and spread the vaccine regardless of how many jabs or boosters you have had, and yet still the idea you need to have a vaccine in order to keep your job is not simply laughed at?
So WHY do they want us all to have that vaccine?? What exactly is in the thing that makes them want to threaten innocent people with having their livelihoods taking away if they won’t have it?

If there are any unvaccinated NHS workers on this site I would ask you to ask yourself this question, what has your union done to support and protect you during this witch hunt of madness?.How much in dues are you paying to belong to this body that has watched as you have been threatened with a loss of livelihood, if you do not give up the rights to your body to the Authorities.
I would then ask that amongst the 70,000 plus of you, is there not a group who could form a new union to protect your rights? I would furthermore as a group stick to your guns. If the Government says it caves “for now” with regards to your medical status, do not accept it, en masse all 70,000 of you need to come together and tell the Government that they remove the requirement in its entirety, otherwise you will all withdraw your labour as of the February date. In Germany a “mandatory” jab for care home workers will start soon. The employers are told they need to report any unjabbed staff to the local health authority, where an overworked civil servant will decide over their fate. They will probably be given some criteria to decide if the person can continue to work there. I saw a news report recently, where one care home manager actually said they will not report their staff as they value and need them. And I guess if you have a friendly civil servant, people can keep their jobs.
What a load of shit, and I would say the same goes on here. It depends on your management. When they started the care home policy, I asked myself who will control this and how long does it take, and what powers do any authorities actually have to force a care home to get rid off the staff?
Let the NHS implode, if it hadn’t already done so. It can’t or won’t provide even the most basic level of care for its payers, in spite of the obscene sums of money which disappear into its black hole-esque gravitational field every year, and already high levels of taxation go on climbing. The front line staff unions are problematic. The management unions are problematic. The doctors unions are problematic. The importation of ‘trained’ healthcare workers from other countries where free healthcare is not a sacred cow is an international crime that no one ever mentions. It it’s become abundantly clear that socialised medicine is a vehicle to install socialism, or maybe globalism by the back door, as the costs grow to require an greater proportion of GDP and household income. I’m in a WhatsApp group for non clinical staff. Some trusts have been over interpreting to include any admin staff who would have to walk down a corridor and pass by a patient.

I started mistrusting politicians back in the 1990’s with that smarmy git Blair, I realised he was just a showman. Then in 2003 all belief and trust in politicians evaporated when the smarmy git took us to war, purely on lies (WMDs that could be launched in 45 minutes, couldn’t say what type of WMD they were Nuclear, Biological or Chemical but they had WMDs. When that was exposed to be a lie they attacked Iraq to remove Hussein, which under international law is illegal to attack a country to change its regime).
Never, ever trust a politician and always question (twice) what they are doing. Never ever believe a politician without asking yourself, what’s in it for them.
It has occurred to me that when intelligent, highly-qualified, eloquent, doctors, consultants etc are sacked, and their careers aren’t at risk any more, as they’ve lost them…they might make quite a noise.
They thought everyone would fall in line and do as they’re told. Not so! Getting everyone to clap like demented seals was part of the conditioning of people to get them to turn on those that would resist. But again they’ve underestimated how people really think. Well done, that 80,000 that held the line. It’s not over by a long shot yet, still have to keep going but the house of cards is wobbling like fury!
I think 5-10% resistance was always gamed into the coupleaders foward planning strategy. Now its a question of how to make them comply to their New Normal ideology. Different leaders have different strategies, but they all boil down to demonising the resistance and making them scapegoats.
I don’t see space for a “pause” in the legislation.
The legislation requires vaccination with approved products and an approved schedule. It is only a JCVI recommendation to have 12 weeks between jabs. As Pfizer has a minimum of 21 days the latest date for commencing a programme could be 10 March. That is over 4 weeks of space without any face loss by the government.
Any chance of broadcasting the case being brought in the International Criminal Court against those who brought us a gain of function virus and the premeditated murder by the previously patented jabs that are still experimental?
Maybe MPs should pause it for good, for their own safety?

Like the rest of the western world leaders controlled by WEF and Bill Gates there must be complete domination of the populations otherwise how is it possible to control? WEF and Bill Gates are mostly old and vulnerable people. They may think that they are immortal but they are not. If they were wise they would have at least half an eye on dying well, but I doubt that they are capable of that kind of foresight.
So they too will pass, one hopes sooner rather than later, and one hopes, but doubts, that they will be sensible enough to repent pretty soon, since life continues beyond the grave and they are no longer protected by their billions there. Nothing is indomitable, especially when built upon evil.
