Holidaymakers Could Be Forced to Film Themselves Taking LFTs

by Michael Curzon
6 October 2021 1:59 PM

Concerned that British holidaymakers arriving back in the country may lie when submitting lateral flow test results, ministers are planning on requiring testing to be done during video calls with ‘health advisers’. The Mail has the story.

The Government is planning to replace the requirement for double-vaccinated travellers to take a PCR test on their return to Britain with a much cheaper lateral flow swab.

But the Health Secretary is said to be concerned that those taking the tests could lie about the results.

He is proposing travellers do their lateral flow test on video calls supervised by a health adviser from a private firm, the Times reported.

This is similar to the way some pre-departure tests which were scrapped last weekend were conducted.

No date has been set for the change but there is speculation among travel industry leaders that it will be around October 25th, the start of half term for many families. …

Airlines and tour operators have been hit hard during the pandemic, and have accused the Government of being too slow to relax and simplify the rules for international travel.

Worth reading in full.

Problem: PCR tests from price gouging firms are too expensive.
Solution: Replace them with cheap later flow tests with a 50% false negative rate

Problem: People will just lie about the lateral flow test results.
Solution: Make them pay price gouging firms to pretend to watch them doing it.

Question: what happens if the Swab Stasi accuses you of not doing the test properly? What’s your recourse?

We’re simply beyond reason now.

Much better not to go to anywhere that obliges a traveller to engage in some form of testing either before travelling and/or upon return. For reasons of their governments’ gross stupidity, it is best to stay out of Scotland, Wales and NI for the foreseeable future. England is of course a mess, but at least for the moment, it is less of a mess than other parts of the UK.

Correct, when i actually bothered posting one off i just wet the swab and stuck it in the liquid and sent off.

That said more recently i just put a false code on the PLF (as i know it never gets verified) and dont bother buying a test.

Absolutely fuckin staggering. Guilty until you prove your innocence.

Guilty of what?

A disease with an IFR of 0.096% and still people won’t open their eyes.

What next a video of the Aldi shop?

As per English Law: first assumption innocent.
All government’s actions have been based on first assumption guilty.
In Britain, we do not have to prove our innocence. The onus is not on us to prove our innocence by being tested. The onus of proof is on the accuser and we do not have to actively help them. We remain innocent unless proved guilty beyond a shadow of doubt in a Court of Law

Logic can be met with logic, while illogic cannot. It confuses those who think straight.
The Big Lie and monotonously repeated nonsense have more of an emotional appeal than logic and reason.
While people are searching for a reasonable counter argument to the first lie, the totalitarians can assail them with another.

Did I read this correctly? You have to be double vaccinated to travel abroad (which means then that the vaccine isn’t really voluntary and citizens are being blackmailed into taking it), but once you have consented to two doses you still have to prove your health “status” using a questionable diagnostic. Either the goal posts are constantly shifting or the vaccines aren’t quite as effective as we’re being led to believe.

After transgenderism, road-blocking eco fanatics, covid hysteria, footballers bending at the knee, etc., etc. can anyone doubt we are going through a period of collective madness last seen perhaps in the Middle Ages?

I highly recommend “The Pursuit Of The Millennium: Revolutionary Millenarians and Mystical Anarchists of the Middle Ages” by Norman Cohn.

As Jung said “We are on our guard against contagious diseases of the body, but we are exasperatingly careless when it comes to the even more dangerous collective diseases of the mind.” -Carl Jung, CW 18, Para 130.

I’m sure that people are already “lying” about the PCR tests by swabbing the wrong person as you can do it all at home. It’s quite simple, just do free lateral flow tests and if someone comes up positive don’t swab them, swab someone else.
Or if you want to have evidence that you have recovered from COVID-19, find a friend who has it and swab them when you are free and clear.
None of this is remotely secure. And, it is certainly not secure enough to make any difference to the progression of the virus through our communities.

Have we forgotten this one already?

“Orwell’s Australia: 15 minutes to take your photo and text to the government
People in South Australia will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation. The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be. Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person.”

What the government geniuses don’t seem to realize is that you only lose trust once. The opposition might be small initially and you can succeed at bamboozling the majority at first, but as time goes, every new individual pissed off by their “policies” will never follow any more of their crazy orders any time soon. Should a REAL danger emerge, this sort of “let’s keep exaggerating and keep crying wolf like idiots” policy will be directly responsible for increased damage among the no longer compliant (but maybe that’s the goal).

When wIll people see the road they are travelling. It seems to me that the majority are so hooked on their holidays they will do ANYTHING. We will now have fluoride added to our tap water. Fluoride is the drug used to calm down and control those who went to the gas chambers. We ask why they were so docile???? Fear and Fluoride. Yet not one historian or one politician is prepared to stand up to the plate.

So the government has even more money to spend on hiring a company to watch you do your lateral flow test times a million people? Who on earth makes these kind of ridiculous decisions. Why won’t the uk health authorities simply follow the scientific data which clearly says their is minimal Covid transmission on aircraft due to the improvements made in ventilation. Yes the airline companies will do whatever it take to get bums back on their planes.

A simple daily reminder to take Vitamin D would have cost nothing. A nudge to lose weight again costs nothing. Encouragement to eat a healthy diet, get exercise daily and a good night’s sleep costs nothing. And yet all of these simple, free examples of public health advice have been COMPLETELY ignored. Another missed opportunity. But we have loads of money to babysit people performing a lateral flow test. Something is seriously wrong folks.
