Asymptomatic Spread is Still a Myth

This is a pivotal moment. If Boris holds his nerve, refuses to impose any further restrictions and the Omicron outbreak burns itself out of its own accord, the spell cast by SAGE over the nation could finally be broken.
Is Boris's refusal to impose Plan C restrictions a turning point? Will the PM base his Covid decisions on real-world data from now on rather than apocalyptic modelling?
Whitty: To prevent spread of Omicron, as many people as possible should get a booster of a vaccine that is already largely ineffective against spread of Delta and probably even less effective against spread of new variant.
Chris Whitty, England’s Chief Medical Officer, has recently told a panel discussion his concern that it will be harder for the Government to get the public to comply with any new Covid restrictions.
Chris Whitty said the Great Barrington Declaration is "probably" unethical, presumably because it would have led to more deaths. But the UK's pandemic plan forecast 315,000 deaths, and Whitty never tried to change it.
The new parliamentary report on Covid repeats the claim that locking down a week earlier would have saved tens of thousands of lives. This is contradicted by the data which shows infections peaking before lockdown.
During the spring of 2020, the official advice on masks went from "do not wear one" to "wear one" in a matter of weeks. Why such a sudden change? It may have all started with a chart that went viral on social media.
Marcus Fysh MP says Chris Whitty should resign for approving the vaccination of all healthy teenagers against Covid "without good clinical reason".
The U.K.'s four Chief Medical Officers have advised that healthy teenagers should be given Covid jabs, meaning the Government will push on with its roll-out despite being warned by the JCVI of the risk of side effects.
Ministers may be scrapping plans to introduce vaccine passports this month but they seem determined to push on with the vaccination of 12-15 year-olds, with reports suggesting the roll-out could begin on September 22nd.
