Eleven Officers Hurt in Henry Nowak Clashes as Police Race Bias Rules Are Blamed for Handcuffing of Dying White Student

3 min read

Eleven officers and a police dog were injured last night during protests over the handcuffing of dying white student Henry Nowak as forces were urged to scrap ‘two-tier’ rules treating white people differently to ethnic minorities. The Mail has more.

The violence followed a public outcry over bodycam footage showing officers handcuffing the 18 year-old university student as he lay dying after his Sikh killer falsely claimed to be a victim of racism.

Vickrum Digwa, 23, stabbed the teenager six times before lying to officers that he had shouted racist abuse, punched him and knocked off his turban. Nowak repeatedly told officers “I can’t breathe” before his death.

Sir Keir Starmer said he “felt sick” after watching the footage but told MPs there was “no justification” for the “disgraceful” violence that erupted last night in Southampton.

The Conservatives and Reform UK claim that Nowak’s treatment was influenced by police guidance around racial bias.

Under a so-called Anti-Racism Commitment published last year, policing leaders say that “racial equity” should not mean “treating everyone the same or being colour blind”.

Instead they say their goal is to produce “equality of policing outcomes” by ending the racial disparity in the “likelihood of people being criminalised”.

The commitment is part of a multi-million pound Police Race Action Plan launched in 2022 following the killing of George Floyd in America “to improve trust and confidence in policing among Black communities” in the UK.

The National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) has since vowed to review the guidance, which the Policing Minister today accepted was “wrong”.

Sarah Jones told Sky News it was important to be “mindful of the fact that there has been a history of racism in policing” but she said of the commitment: “I think this document is wrong.”

But Parm Sandhu, Director of the London Policing College and the first and only Sikh Chief Superintendent in the Metropolitan Police, rejected accusations of a two-tier approach and accused politicians of “politicising” the tragedy.

“Police officers do not go to work and think they are going to treat black or white people differently,” she told BBC Radio 4. “They go to work and they deal with emergency situations where they have to make fast life or death decisions.

“In this case they’ve made a tragic mistake. But they do not base those decisions on the skin colour of the individuals in front of them.”

More than 1,000 demonstrators descended on Southampton Central Police Station just before 6pm yesterday.

Protesters shouted “I can’t breathe” and held banners reading “protect our kids”, but rioting soon broke out as thugs pelted officers with wheelie bins, flares and beer cans.

Writing in the Daily Mail, Kemi Badenoch said Nowak’s murder was a “seminal moment” in the fight against racism.

The Tory leader compared the stabbing of the 18 year-old university student to the murder of Stephen Lawrence 33 years ago.

Badenoch said that, just like Stephen’s shocking killing in 1993, Nowak’s death at the hands of an assailant who lied about claims of racism needs to be a turning point.

Worth reading in full.

“Police officers do not go to work and think they are going to treat black or white people differently” – except that’s exactly what their “Anti-Racism Commitment” says they must do. Once again we see woke activists bringing in and endorsing blatant discriminatory, two-tier measures then barefacedly claiming they’re doing no such thing.

I have no time for the Not-a-Conservative-Party, but I do recognise that in recent months Badenough had upped her game.

She destroyed it with her statement, attacking Farage and not the appalling behaviour of Hampshire Constabulary.

Actually no. If you check what Farage says he is right. She is playing politics.

You’d simply have to be braindead not to notice the 2 tier policing or justice, 2 years for a tweet, £26 “fine” for rape, beaten if white, asked what you want for brekkie if anything else.Fgs.

Will Jones’ summary is absolutely right. The SIKH WOMAN IN CHARGE is lying through her DEI teeth, as is proven by this:

Police force at centre of Henry Nowak arrest ‘pressured’ officers into diversity training

“Officers within the police force responsible for the arrest of Henry Nowak moments before his death claim they felt “controlled and pressured” after being subjected to mandatory diversity training, a survey has revealed.”

Precisely. The whole point of the DEI training is to ensure that police officers (and everyone else in the public sector) DO treat various ethnicities/communities differently.

If you have a “protected characteristic” you are protected. If you don’t you are a second-class concern.

The Government has taught people how to protest.

Peaceful, good humoured, polite, no threat to police, wave flags, a few placards, patriotic songs – demonise, vilify but mostly ignore.

Violent, aggressive, attack the police, smash up the streets, shout abd scream – Government, police take notice, back off, kneel, make fulsome placating statement, go after the “Far Right”.

Starmer et al dont “condone” violence and say no excuse for it, unless it is Government and their agents and the righteous Left being violent.

There’s another important element to this Lying Sikh Coward: Is he a member of Sikh Terrorist groups like “Babbar Khalsa” using the West as a base to get an “Independent Nation of Khalistan” carved for them out of India’s Punjab?

These Sikh Terrorists were well-known in India for carrying out terrorist attacks and then running to hide in the Sikh gurudwara temples, which the Indian government was afraid to enter, pretending it was out of “respect” for the Sikhs hiding the Sikh Terrorists!

They also blew up passenger planes, such as Air India Flight 182 off the coast of Ireland, killing 329 passengers and crew “including 268 Canadian citizens, 27 British citizens, and 24 Indian citizens” in 1985.

“Oh, but Sikhs are so nice!” I hear you say.
For all the details of Sikh Terrorist activities, see below:

“The Silence of the Establishment: Henry Nowak and the Hypocrisy at the Heart of British Governance”
https://www.freespeechbacklash.com/article/silence-establishment-henry-nowak-and-hypocrisy-heart-british-governance#:~:text=The%20Silence%20of%20the%20Establishment%3A%20Henry%20Nowak%20and%20the%20Hypocrisy%20at%20the%20Heart%20of%20British%20Governance

A brilliant essay from John Surtees over at Freespeech Backlash which strips this event to the bones…

Britain belongs first and foremost to the British people: those who built it, sustained it through wars and hardship, and whose ancestors shaped its laws, language, and liberties. We reject the notion that our country must perpetually atone for its past by sacrificing the safety and dignity of its sons and daughters. We demand equal justice under the law, not two-tier policing calibrated to appease activist lobbies and international globalist opinion. It demands politicians who put British victims first — regardless of the ethnicity of the perpetrator.

The public anger is real and growing. Families like the Nowaks deserve more than condolences and inquiries that go nowhere. They deserve a government willing to confront the training, culture, and leadership within policing that produced this horror. They deserve politicians who will scrap divisive “unconscious bias” programmes and restore colour-blind professionalism. Above all, they deserve a Prime Minister who treats a dead British teenager with at least the same gravity he once reserved for an American criminal.”

This is a wonderful example of how insane the madleft is. Because in order to produce “equality of policing outcomes” those groups less prone to crime – East Asians, for example – would have to have the same amount of police attention as those groups more prone to crime – West Indians, for example.

“Police officers do not go to work and think they are going to treat black or white people differently,”

But if their mission is to ensure proportionately the same outcomes from the criminal justice system regardless of the evidence they do exactly that. If they are taught to automatically believe the words of someone from an ethnic or other minority over the words of anyone else then they are treating people differently.

One conclusion we can readily draw from the limited evidence of the body cam is that the claims of the Sikh men were accepted without question. The words of Henry were dismissed without examination or enquiry. That is bias. That is likely his the officers were trained to behave.

Violent protests after law abiding student Henry Nowak gets killed by a lying Sikh: condemnation across the board. BBC: “eleven officers hurt”.

Violent protests after the career criminal, drugged-up-to-the-eyeball George Floyd dies during lawful arrest: veneration across the board, police “taking the knee”. BBC: a policewoman “got thrown off her horse”.

I don’t think it’s very smart, especially considering the vast majority of attendees were perfectly peaceful, to start lobbing things at the police, however. No matter how angry you are or should the police antagonize in order to goad a reaction, it’s just self-defeating and scores an own goal in the end. All you’ve done is hand a win to the establishment and ”far-Right thugs” you shall be known as, with shed-loads of accompanying footage to support that claim. It’s since been reported 20 odd police have actually been injured, but who knows if that info is legit…

”I’m surprisingly out on my own in saying that throwing bricks at coppers is not justified. I’m not saying people shouldn’t protest, but I spotted people in that mob who belong to organisations that even someone like me (Homeland Party member – regularly mentioned in Searchlight etc) would regard as far right (people who would deport all brown people – with the emphasis on Jews). As such, if the government says that the riots were the actions of far right thugs, then this time the language is technically accurate. That one of them happened to be a skinhead wearing a Restore Britain… Read more »

Just to clarify: I do not think violent protest is justifiable, for any political cause, left or right.
However I couldn’t help noticing the total understanding and tolerance the police, the political elite and the BBC displayed during the BLM riots. Not only was the violence overlooked and trivialized, all sorts of excuses were made for it. The narrative was of “righteous anger”.

The violence might not have occurred if someone in authority showing leadership appeared at the very earliest opportunity and acknowledged the anger people would feel about the total injustice of this case.

No one bothers to listen. No one bothers to understand. No one makes any effort.

We only have Queer Stalin who one of his own MPs, Barry Gardiner, stated publicly spelling out the letters he is D-E-A-F.

I do hope Tommy Robinson organises a vigil in Hyde Park for Henry.

He is the only person in the country likely to be able to do that.

Of course they’re all going to deny two-tier policing and that the police are trained to be racist against whites. These gaslighting, lying asshats can hardly be expected to be impartial, can they? The evidence which contradicts their collective oral flatulence problem is available for all to see. These mainly white officers are brainwashed in their DEI woke training into believing that their instinct is shaped by ”unconscious bias”, FGS. Ludicrous. No wonder retired policemen such as Norman Brennan are livid with the way things are in policing nowadays;

”Every police officer in England and Wales is trained according to standards set by the College of Policing. It publishes a practice bank, a library of approved initiatives that forces across the country are invited to adopt. This entry appeared on March 4th 2026. Three months after Henry Nowak was murdered. The initiative is Police Scotland’s. The College of Policing’s decision to publish it on its national practice bank makes it considerably more than that. The practice bank exists to share approved approaches with forces across England and Wales. Publication is endorsement.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary needed no invitation. It had already built its own equivalent. It describes… Read more »

It is worse.

We have a fake apology. If I were a member of the family I would be shocked at the callousness of this police chief.

Police Chief Apologises in Nowak Case

It is an admission Henry should not have been handcuffed.  But nothing more.

The Chief Constable apologises about the Novak family’s “point about dignity” but the handcuffs were not the only aspect which denied this dying boy his dignity.  It was everything about how he was treated.

But nothing in the apology about that.

He simply has no grasp of the totality of what his officers have done but also in his supposed apology he throws them under the bus as if he has no responsibility for what they did.  But it is all his responsibility but he does not acknowledge that.

The officers’ training is his responsibility, how they deal with any incident is his responsibility and the rules and guidelines under which they operate are his responsibility.

This is typical lefty liberal behaviour – not taking responsibility.

There is a concept that escapes the attention of politicians, the police and activists. The concept is ‘enough’.

So, yes the idea of ensuring fair treatment for minorities was fair enough based on previous history. But perhaps it has been taken too far.

Use of renewable energy is a good idea in principle, but the idea has been taken too far.

The idea of triple lock on pensions was a good idea to offset previous pension deficiencies but perhaps it has continued long enough.

Politicians (and other organisations) may be bundled into adopting new measures. That is rewarding for them, at least in public acclaim. But they don’t seem to have any desire to find out when those new measures have achieved their purposes.
