Care home workers will need to get a booster Covid vaccine in order to keep their jobs, a senior Government source has said. Booster shots will also be compulsory for some foreign trips and talks are underway on whether they will play a part in vaccine passport checks at nightclubs and other ‘large venues’. The Mail on Sunday has the story.
[Booster shots] will add to the legal requirements for care home staff, who from October will have to be double-jabbed to work in the sector, subject to parliamentary approval.
Millions are set to be offered a third jab from September after Health Secretary Sajid Javid announced the roll-out to priority groups.
A Minister told the Mail on Sunday the “logical” move will be to make the booster shots a requirement for travel, adding that the most up-to-date Covid certification for travel will become as normal as the need to have a yellow fever jab to enter certain countries. …
Meanwhile talks about what booster jabs will mean for domestic certification are still at an early stage within Government.
One insider said that, as domestic passports have only been announced for nightclubs, discussions over whether boosters will one day be required for entry are still in “very early days”.
The Government will make its decision on boosters following final advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), which is reviewing the scientific evidence on the third jabs.
The JCVI previously issued interim advice in June that Brits “should be prepared” for another round of inoculations.
The roll-out would work in two stages, beginning with the over-70s, care home residents, extremely vulnerable people and health and care workers.
Then all over-50s and under-50s with long-term health problems would be offered the booster vaccine.
Mr Javid said last week: “When it comes to booster jabs we are waiting for the final advice from JCVI… and when we get that advice we will be able to start the booster programme, but I anticipate it will begin in early September, so I’m already making plans for that.”

If I understand correctly: over time the new style vaccine seems to lose efficacy against illness. It also appears that it does not prevent spread of infection.
Neither of these points were understood at the start of the roll out. So it really was a leap into the dark.
Countries with low vaccination stats seem to have had similar declines in Covid as countries with high rates. Although I have not seen a systematic analysis of that. It would surely be interesting.
To justify what has been done PHE has then created estimates of 84k lives saved. But these are based on a modeled prediction of what would have happened without vaccines. That is a counter factual. So the estimates of lives saved are just conjecture for politicians to quote.
Rather than stepping back and wondering whether they ought to think again, our deeply useless governments now double down on boosters as the “answer” to falling efficacy. They are in so deep on vaccines that they can hardly act in any other way.
I increasingly sense that the whole vaccine thing will end in tears. Just feels it is going that way. New ideas such… Read more »
The bit I don’t understand is that, if all the bullied staff refused the jabs, the care home system would simply collapse. Don’t they realise this?
Most carers are underpaid and overworked. Most of them I’ve come across are really wonderful human beings. They should all band together and go on strike! I bet if they did, all this mandatory jab bullshit would go away. They probably wouldn’t though because they care too much about the people they look after. This fucking fascist bullshit has to end now!!!
Yep…boost Big Pharma’s profit margins…is anyone awake yet?
care workers are thin end of wedge..
the wedge widens quickly.. care home contractors, visitors, delivery staff…
just keep shoving it in there boys
There are no Published data on trials. Pfizer gave press release to say it is effective and safe -???
How can the world stop this Covid -sine qua non- madness. – bet the people of Haiti wished they had had a third vaccination?
This is subject to parliamentary approval. Surely we can rely on our MPs to stand up for personal liberty and face down this authoritarian government? Surely Her Majesty’s Opposition, led by a human rights lawyer, will oppose?
Or am I being ridiculous?
Yep, you’re being ridiculous, sorry…
Something is seriously wrong. The inoculations simply don’t work. I now know more people with Covid than I ever knew a year ago. They are all double jabbed. I also know at least two injured people post inoculation. Two with serious heart complaints and one with an abnormal lung ct scan.
And now, boosters being made mandatory for care workers? I get it. The first two didn’t kill or maim you, so we are going to have another go.
Age 70, I declined. Wake up every morning grateful I did so💕💕💕
And so the thumbscrews tighten. It’s only for three weeks to flatten the curve……How easy it was to take the people’s liberty. How ignorant and weak the people have proven to be.
Well well that video by the Dr has got me thinking. The Delta scariant is actually covid caused by the vaccinated!! I reviewed the timing of its appearance at the party – interesting!
Insanity reigns. UK gov and other G7 and western govs all around the world have ordered “boosters” well into 2024.
This is well known released information so people must know that means they will be expected to keep taking them? For that all important “vaccine passport” “medical ID” “digital ID”.
Once you jump onboard the Covid train there’s no getting off!
Choo Choo !!!!!
A lot of confusion. I confess to having had my two jabs, and at the moment have not needed to do a yellow card report. They are saying boosters starting September, being over 70 I fit into their first batch sadly. Then they suggest booster six months after second jab, which on the face of it seems sensible. That would mean I would not be approached for one until November. I see no point in it, never felt fitter during this pandemic, and already have a printed letter with no expiry date confirming my jabs. Will they be saying that letter becomes invalid?
I only had the jabs because at my age according to the ‘rules’ I am marginally in the vulnerable age range. I did not want it but succumbed.
This whole vax pass thing is now so serious and complex that it should be formally discussed in Parliament and subject to a Statutory procedure so that we can all see the precise requirements, the criteria and can see and challenge our NHS records on which so much now depends. As it is the NHS just decides who is in and who is out? by a criteria they set and subject to records they keep, all on a rather arbitrary basis. This all needs Parliamentary discussion, including the consideration of exemptions on medical, ethical and religious grounds.
I walked out of a shift last week before I even started probably my last it’s over!.I informed the Nurse that I won’t take no bs lateral flow test etc She was extremely passive and unresponsive.Today at Cribbs Shopping centre the Majority remain muzzled!.I decided to test my theory of mass Hypnosis.Throughout I commented on certain passing folk making audible remarks about their masks etc sheep noises, passing hurtful comments…No response something is very wrong.I was hoping for some kind of confrontation nothing is it Mass Hypnosis, Psychosis,Predictive Programming, Cognitive Dissonance,Gross stupidity or Virtue signalling.Im making those Zombies aware I’m not be to fucked with because I see violence coming I’m no stranger to it wish I was younger though!
I decided to test my theory of mass Hypnosis.Throughout I commented on certain passing folk making audible remarks about their masks etc sheep noises, passing hurtful comments…No response….
I have noticed that too. Every glare, tut, comment made from me to these zombies are met with a blank stare. Often their gaze is one of confusion.
With super inflation coming along…invest your money in Big Pharma. You will make a killing…literally, by ‘boosting your savings…!
Yup, that’s exactly what it’s all aboot.. Fiat currency governments have been printing money like mad with nothing to back it up. Their economies are fcuked and they are broke. Hyperinflation is about to commence and the only way to “solve” it is to devalue their currencies or invent a new one. The new currency will be digital, but to have control, they need digital ID’s to control and follow the money. To have digital ID’s they need vaccine passports. To have vaccine passports they need a disease and hey presto we have convid 19. Nothing whatsoever about this is anything to do with a flu / cold bug, it’s been planned or hijacked and the plan brought forward.
How is the government going to compensate them if they are injured?
If at all, with funny money.
The government isn’t. It doesn’t have any money of its own. Current and future taxpayers will compensate them.
Once you go vac, you’ll never come back.
Yes that’s is correct – when will people learn? When there was no massive walk out the government had them exactly where they wanted them.
We have entered the gates of hell. There’s no end to this – hardly any major legal challenges. Govts are getting away with doing whatever they want. MPS and opposition parties are useless
Me and wife are in a difficult position as daughter gets married end october, and there’s every chance Johnson and his cabal will stop us going to the wedding unless jabbed. No more foreign hols either.
I really do want to see justice served on those responsible for this
there are no restrictions in leaving the country, it depends on the destination. Where are you off to? To leave, all you need is a negative test, which you need whether you are jabbed or not.
Do you need a negative test to leave, or does it depend on your destination? Spain has no entry requirements, last time I checked, so I assumed the only difficulty was coming back here from there.
On a similar note, does anyone have any experience getting around hospitals’ demands for outpatients to take covid tests? I finally have an appointment coming up for a procedure I’ve been waiting for for 10 months, but am now told that I have to first take a covid test and then isolate for four days before the appointment!
I no longer have any symptoms (and assume I would be dead by now if it was anything serious!), but would still like to attend the appointment to get checked how, but I don’t want to undergo the dreaded swabbing. What happens if I refuse this test? Are they going to deny me treatment?
They cannot force you to have it…claim exemption if needs be. Tell them if they refuse you the appointment you want them to put on record why..it contravenes the Equality Act 2010. This is all about bullying and making people submit…you have Rights. They cannot dismiss them.
Thanks for the advice, @vivaldi. I will have never have the jabs and don’t want the invasive, unnecessary test either.
To travel from Finland to the UK you have to pay around £200 for a PCR test within 72 hours of getting on a plane. So you have to try and match up a test time with your plane’s departure time. Where are you supposed to hang around whilst waiting for your test results which take 24-48 hours? And what do you do if they are ‘positive’?
And on arrival in the UK, assuming you are ‘fully jabbed’, you still can’t get in without having to stump up for another PCR test so that Boris’s mates running the test companies can have their backhanders.
Is her wedding abroad? If it’s in this country, how will anyone know if you’ve been jabbed or not? Vaccine passports aren’t yet mandatory – and I doubt they will be by October.
Its in England. Trouble is Johnson is so unstable and unpredictable I’d not be surprised if he rammed it through on 1st Oct to teach the young a lesson – he warned them last month. France and Ireland have done it
We have Spain booked for next summer, I’m betting that won’t happen either once Covid-21 is released
I utterly despise this govt and the weak opposition. I really hope justice comes to these people, but it will be too late for many
Even if he changes his mind, I don’t believe that there is sufficient organisation to ensure everyone has one in the space of 2 months (and there will be legal challenges to contend with in the meantime). They’ll also be a thriving market in fake ones if they come to pass!
Bent government, scared and/or corrupt scientists. Social pressure, blackmail, jab for job bollocks.
The truth is that there is a WHIFF OF DESPERATION in the air combining with the stench of unscientific BS.
See Iceland and Israel to discern the glaringly obvious: the jabs do not work and seem to be making things worse. You can still get it – and you can still pass it on. Err?
By the logic of Javid and the honourable body, the JCVI, the Booster must be designed to help you contract IT and pass it on? What could be more ideal in a care home? More deaths, more homicides? The Whitty Protocol on steroids.
Bring back Matt Hancock! (Joke)
Just say no to this hideous poison.
Solving the pensions funding problem, and leaving nice pots to loot and redistribute to the rich in inheritance tax.
Reminds me of one of the old “Yes, Minister” episodes in which the Permanent Sec recommended smoking, as it reduces life expectancy, less pension to pay, saves the NHS money, and brings in cash via tobacco duty up front.
I had a bit of a weekend of it, boozing with an old mate of mine. I have to say that in a weekend of heaving pubs, a train to and from Brum, a couple of bus journeys and cab rides, no-one at any time mentioned masks or jabs to me. None of the black cab drivers were masked, and the face rag wearing rate on public transport was probably under 50%.
There’s something incongruous about the way people are behaving in real life as opposed to the continual manufactured crisis of the media and the zero rona fanatics.
Desperation. Perhaps it’s all about to hit the fan. Maybe.
Note how the official narrative takes it for granted that domestic vaccine passports will be introduced and the discussion has moved on to debate whether or not the booster will be included. SPI-B at its best.
So we are all like government pets crossing borders.
They cannot mandate this or the jab for travelling.
They will always have to offer a testing option instead.
What they are saying is that only a booster gives you an up to date valid vaxx pass, which you can then use for your travelling.
What they forget to say is that if you self-exempt from the gunk in the first place, you will when the digital solution is finally available, likely have a valid vaxx pass for life, without the need for any boosters ever and giving you the same rights as any boosted vaxxed person has, but for life.
Now here’s a question. Will boosters be included on the Yellow Card Reports?
The reason that I ask is that the risks are increasing week by week. Although the jab rate is going down, reported death rates remain similar. Overall, 1 in 31,000 jabbees have died following the jab. Week on week, that overall figure varies little because there were so many jabbed earlier in the year. If one looks at the death risk over recent weeks (I take a three week span), it is 1 in 12,313 dying.
What is changing? Younger people are being jabbed and there are proportionately more 2nd jabs. And, of course, these are deaths within a short time of the jab.
If we look at the results from Europe via EudraVigilance, we see the same trend (I can only attach one chart at a time). They total 1 in 25,124 – but the last three week average is 1 in 11,151 dying. These are remarkably similar figures.
I am working on VAERS also, but they are very late with their latest database. The indications are that we are talking about similar death rates.
I would imagine they would be recorded in yellow card and VAERS as they are for ALL vaccines not just COVID. They might come under a different category, but you could add them together.
How many people die of comparable age group to the vaccinated population in a – for example – 1 week period. Is it lower than 1 in 12,000? Just wondering how this compares to background rate
Oh, wouldn’t it be great if they reported all of these things by age and other vulnerability.
And the covid cases — they could report them by vaccination status as well.
But they don’t. Because they don’t want any data suggesting that the vaccines might be useless or dangerous.
Plausible deniability is something that politicians understand very well. If the public understood this then they might be called out on it, but the politicians are getting away with it so far.
Good point Sophie. I pulled the numbers out and even surprised myself!
Assuming that the Yellow Card Reports are related to the jabs, the ‘death risk’ per person is currently 0.008% from my first chart. Now look at the attached.
For all ages under 55, the jab death risk is greater than the average death risk.
We are now jabbing at the lower age groups where the normal average death risk is much, much lower. This group is probably mostly under 25-30.
For all ages under 30, the jab death risk is 10x the normal death risk!
I was even staggered by this myself!
Bear in mind also that they are being jabbed against covid19 where the death risks are minimal. Deaths due too other causes are not going to be affected by the jab anyway. This means that the deadly effect of the jab is even greater than I have shown here!
The post-stab death risk is presumably also not evenly distributed across age groups, though?
It is surprisingly consistent. I would not have expected it. Here is a chart of deaths against 1st jabs (which represents total people). From 35 million jabs (beginning of May onwards), the death rate is constant, even though the ages reduce.
I think what is missing from these Yellow Card Reports is deaths in the care homes which peaked mid-January with the jab roll-out. I have a strong suspicion that about 20,000 elderly folk were wiped out from mid-January until the end of February. The weekly deaths correlates scarily with the jab roll-out.
Neat, thanks for the explanation
Especially worrying when the under-reporting aspect of these schemes is taken into account!
That is a very worrying trend. 1 in less than 12,000 deaths in a record that is at least 90% unrepresented, its possibly getting close to 1 in 1,000 in reality.
No wonder they pushing as fast as they can before these numbers just get too scary to hide.
Jeremy Vine responded to the truth bomb caller that Yellow Card data isn’t a result of the jabs because there is no evidence of a link.
No evidence because they are refusing to investigate the cases or perform autopsies on the victims.
They should be reported the booster side effect data separately — there’s a theoretical increased risk of allergic response due to sensitisation to PEG from earlier doses.
But they won’t do this, and will instead lump them the responses will the earlier data.
This is a big mistake, but in a land of huge mistakes probably isn’t a big deal.
Deliberate. Not mistakes.
Added to which the flu jab season is arriving soon and that will probably add more problems to the mix.
great work – look forward to updates 🙂
Great work Mark, thanks.
All the actual journalism seems to happen below the line these days…
Yes, citizen journalism has taken over.
^Mike, not Mark
apologies.
Attn: @Will Jones
Any chance you could cover this in an article above the line?
I would just like to make a clarification here.
What I am focussing on is the number of people jabbed – represented by 1st jabs – as opposed to total jabs. As the rate of 1st jabs reduces, deaths from either jab are being compared with the number of 1st jabs. It could be pessimistic. However, death per jab is not a measure of risk for the individual. And we are not informed as to which jab was followed by a fatality. So the actual risk is somewhere in between. If, for example, all deaths are at the 2nd dose, then the death risk is twice the risk per jab – i.e. 0.0017%*2 = 0.0034% versus the 0.008% on the last chart values.
We are thus somewhere between 0.0034% and 0.008%, or 1 in 29,400 and 1 in 12,313.
When is a pandemic not a pandemic?
Presumably when it’s announced that the disease is now endemic and we have to learn to live with it, as so many of our elite ‘masters’ have now stated.
The emergency authorisations given to the government should not be renewed in September since we are no longer in a ‘crisis’ (not that I believe we ever were), therefore booster shots would not be authorised.
Of course we’re now living down the rabbit hole, through the looking glass and rapidly heading toward the planet zog.
Actually – many seem to have landed. 🙂
Didn’t they change the numbers needed to qualify as a pandemic in order to say COVID was a pandemic?
Anyone got that link BTW?
I haven’t been vaxxed against covid. So in order to get the booster jab, do I have to have the first two jabs first, or will just the booster do?
If it’s just the booster, then what happens if I wait for the second booster instead? Would I need the first booster before the second one?
If not, then what happens if I wait for the third booster? Or the fourth one?
It’s Covid Hokey Cokey. It probably also depends on whether there’s an “r” in the month, or the phases of the moon.
🙂
I’d just have a pint of beer instead..
Muscle relaxant is always helpful in a crisis, my friend Ford Prefect taught me that.
What would you do if you needed a COVID pass to buy a towel?
Maybe I haven’t been paying sufficient attention to this lying bunch of misfits, but I haven’t seen any evidence or explanation for this “booster” stuff. What will it do (supposedly therapeutically), how, what tests and evaluations i.e. the whole kit and caboodle for this? How safe is it, to mix AZ and Pfizer, which as I understand it, work (or don’t) in different ways. How long does it last (not long, apparently)?
It doesn’t seem to be working terribly well in Israel, and the ill-effects don’t bode well.
Now that Pfizer have jacked up the cost by about £4 a shot, it would also be very interesting to “follow the money”.
Another effing shambles.
I guess the explanation would be that you need to poke your immune system again to make some more antibodies. No matter that they’ll always be short lived and if you’ve no T cell response, any immunity won’t be long lasting.
Probably, but the “short-lived” bit is important, as are any deleterious effects like ADE. That the whole thing is cloaked in secrecy, and people are supposed to take the whole thing on trust, from a bunch of inveterate liars and hyperbolists, is enough to treat it as totally undesirable.
On the question of time, as this stuff applies to everybody but especially the young and the pregnant, it is not possible to mimic or bring forward the effects of this stuff as they occur over time; that time being rather longer than mere months. The first “vaccine” was administered to an elderly lady in December, and unless I’m mistaken, there cannot be any woman in England who has been vaccinated and had a full-term pregnancy.
Wow, hopeless, great point.
No one is poking my immune system! Its working very well so far, despite my advanced years.
There is data showing that their short-term safety is similar to the earlier vaccines.
There’s (obviously) no medium or longer term safety data.
The only data on efficacy has been gained by looking at the antibody response. This is an amazing bit of negotiation by the pharma industry — they no longer have to prove efficacy, only show that more antibodies are created. This is pretty dumb, but it is where we are.
The immune response to upper respiratory tract infections isn’t centred around antibodies, and the antibodies created will be targeted at variants (original covid) that are now extinct — but that doesn’t appear to interest the authorities.
I am fearful of an increase in allergic response to the vaccines (through sensitisation to PEG) compared with earlier doses.
Beyond that, there should be similar levels of ‘rare’ side effects.
This might be tolerable, but the vaccines won’t provide any significant benefit against Delta and future strains.
There’s also the risk of ADE — the jury is still out on whether boosters will make this worse, or offer a period where the risks are reduced — we’ll find out this winter.
The immune response to upper respiratory tract infections isn’t centred around antibodies
Does this mean the jabbed are more likely to be asymptomatic spreaders of the hobgoblin?
There is no scientific evidence that boosters stop infection and re-transmission.
But this has never been about science, or even about protecting the vulnerable.
The boosters are also identical to the initial gunk.
No Delta update or the like with them.
I wonder how many know that.
I had a meeting with a roomful of retired scientists the other day (specialists in human biology).
All thought that the boosters were an updated formula for the newer variants.
They were shocked to discover that they were the original formula. It should be noted that their mistake was understandable — all the inferences over the past months were that the boosters would be an updated formula.
There is no informed consent.
So, finding the snake oils don’t work against Delta, they are ‘fighting’ Delta with the same snake oils….?
Gimme strength.
Yes – and, as we know, pursuing the same useless strategy despite the evidence, is one definition of ‘insanity’.
Straight jackets for all the cabinet?
Can’t do the whole cabinet, but I think I have enough for the more dangerous members. (Straitjackets that is).
Even if they knew it, true Covidians would still be eagerly lining up for the booster, that prevents nothing and will likely kill a great many of them. There is little hope for these people.
A yellow fever vaccination lasts for life, the so-called Covid vac does not.
Vaccine for life, where’s the profit in that?
That is because it is a vaccine not Lem-Sip dressed up as snake oil.
Real, or conventional vaccines do sometimes have ‘shelf lives’ with recommended ‘top up’ dates – I’ve had a couple of those done in the past with roughly 10 years recommended ‘top up’ dates (Rabies, a Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio triple). The ‘flu ones don’t last that long though, as ‘flu mutates over time.
the whole covid show has been a rollercoaster.
but if you step back and squint….
1 – they have got the whole world shitting themselves over a mild cold (similar to HK or Asian flu in its extent)
2 – the pharma companies have managed to get rid of the testing part of product development
3 – everyone in the world is going to be jabbed several times a year
4 – pharma boom time – until something goes wrong
5 – politicians and other elite and powerful groups have more power and are harder to challenge
6 – as well as pharma, lots of opportunities for outsourcing juicy contracts for other futile activity like testing, T&T
7 – big tech are more important than ever in people’s lives
It’s a short lived boom time for Pharma: you can’t sell many vaccines when the world population is reduced by 80% or whatever.
Just a bit of a correction – it’s not universally ‘a mild cold’ (although it can be) – and neither were the two genuine ‘flu pandemics that you mention. I know : I copped both.
Over-minimization is just as much a distortion as exaggeration, and doesn’t help the rational cause.
Agreed – it hasn’t been a mild cold in those who have had it badly – by all accounts, it’s been like no cold they’ve ever had before. However, the reaction worldwide has still been irrational (lockdowns, mask-wearing and denying people access to ivermectin, and not promoting Vitamins D and C and zinc as immune boosters, for example).
A wise assessment, but some organisations have ‘adjusted’ their guidance re. Vitamin D – even the NHS site. They have doubled the number for daily intake for Vit D supplements at the darker times of the year, and some others – notably in German language ones, it’s been doubled again, so 4 times the older NHS one. It’s true that it’s not been promoted, though. It used to be 5 μg per day, and now it’s 10 or 20 μg per day.
