Boris Says He Wants to Scrap the “One-Metre Plus” Rule in Pubs on June 21st

by Michael Curzon
21 May 2021 1:28 PM

Boris Johnson has told Conservative MPs that he would like to scrap the “one-metre plus” rule in hospitality settings when the last step of the “roadmap” out of lockdown is reached on June 21st. Doing so would help businesses damaged by lockdown to get back on their feet, the Prime Minister said. The MailOnline has the story.

The Prime Minister said eliminating the measure was the “single biggest difference” the Government could bring about in order to get Britain’s pubs back into action, and he was eager for the rule to be scrapped by June 21st…

As long as the rule is in force, pubs, restaurants, theatres, cinemas and other hospitality businesses remain financially unviable, having to legally keep customers separated while using their premises, industry leaders have warned.

Many have had to keep their doors closed throughout the coronavirus crisis.

Britain’s daily Covid deaths have fallen by more than a third in a week as seven more victims and 2,874 positive tests were recorded. Yesterday’s infections were up slightly on the 2,657 last Thursday, a rise of about eight per cent, but the national case rate has remained stable since April.

More than 37 million people have now received one vaccine injection – the equivalent of more than 70% of all adults – and 21.2 million are fully inoculated.

But the rise of the Indian Covid variant had sparked concerns that plans to end social distancing measures were in jeopardy, but on Wednesday Mr Johnson told the 1922 Committee of Tory MPs he was confident about abolishing the one-metre plus rule next month.

He said: “We are hopeful we can do that at the end of the road map.” But Mr Johnson added that it depends on figures “continuing in the right direction”…

One MP who was at the 1922 meeting said: “[Boris] seemed very upbeat about removing the one-metre-plus rule next month.”

Worth reading in full.

Oh my Gawd. The parallels with Domestic Abuse are stunning. I mean, you can go out now and speak to other men, because I’m going to be with you at all times. You can scrap the 1M rule because I have plans to watch your every move and triangulate it to within the inch. So I’ll know EXACTLY how close you stood to each other.

The parallels are striking – except that the title ‘Controlling Relationship Behaviour’ might be more appropriate for this purpose, as this is the underlying objective.

Here’s a excerpt from the CPS site on abusive/coercive behaviour.
[link here, bold emphasis mine]

Behaviour of the perpetrator can include:

  • Isolating a person from their friends and family
  • Depriving them of their basic needs
  • Monitoring their time
  • Monitoring a person via online communication tools or using spyware
  • Taking control over aspects of their everyday life, such as where they can go, who they can see, what to wear and when they can sleep
  • Depriving them access to support services, such as specialist support or medical services
  • Repeatedly putting them down such as telling them they are worthless
  • Enforcing rules and activity which humiliate, degrade or dehumanise the victim
  • Forcing the victim to take part in criminal activity such as shoplifting, neglect or abuse of children to encourage self-blame and prevent disclosure to authorities
  • Financial abuse including control of finances, such as only allowing a person a punitive allowance
  • Control ability to go to school or place of study
  • Taking wages, benefits or allowances
  • Threats to hurt or kill [e.g. granny]
  • Threats to harm a child
  • Threats to reveal or publish private information (e.g. threatening to ‘out’ someone)
  • Threats to hurt or physically harming a family pet
  • Assault
  • Criminal damage (such as destruction of household goods)
  • Preventing a person from having access to transport or from working
  • Preventing a person from being able to attend school, college or University
  • Family ‘dishonour’
  • Reputational damage
  • Disclosure of sexual orientation
  • Disclosure of HIV status or other medical condition without consent
  • Limiting access to family, friends and finances

Even if this goes ahead Boris has already caused unnecessary irreparable damage.

It is unforgiveable.

Except of course1 metre is actually quite close for a prolonged period of time, as the following list illustrates:

Average comfort levels of personal space distance in the U.S.:

  • Approximately 1-1/2 feet to 3 feet for good friends and family members
  • Approximately 3 feet to 10 feet for casual acquaintances
  • More than 4 feet for strangers

Well yes but some people LIKE crowds, at least some of the time, or are happy to put up with them in order to be able to do a particular activity or attend an event. Crowded pubs, bars, sports and music events, clubs, parties, all involve getting close to various people including perfect strangers. Will those kinds of events and settings ever be allowed to return to normal?

Sop. As most of us have predicted, they will retain (medically pointless but harmful) compulsory masking. Why? Because it is the only thing that will keep “the crisis” going. No masks, no crisis. They will spin it out till Autumn when they can then point to rising Covid numbers (as it returns being a seasonal Coronavirus). That will then be used to further continue masking and introduce a Digital Compliance ID scheme.

If Toby can’t see it he must be wilfully blind.

The Friday episode is normally awful but the FOI request at the start was stunning – but not surprising.

I had doubts about what “rigorous analysis” had been carried out right from the start. If you recall 2 nurses, both with a history of allergic reactions, suffered anaphylactic shock on the first day of the rollout.

This was odd because included in the Pfizer Protocol document is a list of EXLUSION (from the Trial) criteria. This is Number 3 :

3. History of severe adverse reaction associated with a vaccine and/or severe allergic reaction (eg, anaphylaxis) to any component of the study intervention(s).

Bozo retains his “libertarian” credentials and the abuse continues.

Once again, straight out of the “1984” playbook: lower the chocolate ration from 25 grams to 20; “memory-hole” all evidence that it was ever 25 grams; then announce an increase in the chocolate ration from 15 to 20 grams and wait for the sheeple to rejoice.
Exactly the same thing here: in January, the big announcement that, so that all restrictions could finally be ended and forever, the “road to freedom” was going to be really slow, running from January through to June. But the reason it would be slow was that, that way, it would be final and total.
But now, oddly, all that seems to have vanished down the “memory hole”. Now, every announcement that anything will or might be ended on June 21st is treated – also by Lockdown Sceptics, depressingly – like it’s a little extra bonus that we really never had any right to expect.

They’re saying this was done in 2019
https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/05/19/whatsapp-group-settings-scam/
but I’ve been using it for at least 10 years at work without having my colleagues as contacts.
Can’t see how it can be used for scams – if you’re added to a group you’ll see the group’s messages. if you don’t want to see them you can leave the group.

quite

and now from the BBC

“The ONS says there are signs of a “potential increase” in England”

a potential increase isn’t actually an increase.

potential
/pə(ʊ)ˈtɛnʃ(ə)l/
adjective

  • 1.
  • having or showing the capacity to develop into something in the future:

so its also potentially stable or potentially decreasing

ie its not going up now but in might in the future. risible

Well done, Cecil, for grabbing that interesting illustration of the fiction. Only one instance – but I bet it reflects a nationwide pattern.

The term ‘pandemic’ was deliberately detached from any notion of severity and mortality by the WHO.

UK Column (Friday) also did a piece comparing numbers of various crematoriums/cemetaries and showed there was no appreciable difference in numbers between 2021 and previous years. A fact that I think all of us on here pretty much suspected.

I actually have thought about this. There really is a big assumption that everyone has a smartphone. But if they can discriminate against those who are unvaccinated (which is clearly illegal and happening now in the States) then they can surely do so with phone ownership.
By now if should be clear to everyone that there is a slow change of control from sovereign and democratically run nations to a globalist fascist-like system (all in thebname of climate change). There is slow bleed of wealth and private property (intellectual, physical) into corporate hands. Inflation is rampant. This is an engineered crisis.

Boris Johnson in a nutshell!
the emperor’s (Boris) new clothes
Something widely accepted as true or professed as being praiseworthy due to an unwillingness of the general population to criticize it or be seen as going against popular opinion. Taken from the Hans Christian Andersen fable of the same name, in which a vain king is sold imaginary clothing (i.e., nothing at all) by two weavers who promise him that it is visible only to the wise and cannot be seen by those who are ignorant, incompetent, or unfit for their position.

I love the Internet there’s lots of info and fun out there.
