Opposition to domestic vaccine passports appears to be growing in the Commons. More than 70 MPs – from differing political backgrounds – have voiced their concern over the introduction of "discriminatory" Covid IDs.
The PM has suggested that a potential Covid passport would not be brought in before all adults were offered the jab, and that it could be based on vaccination, immunity from prior disease, or test status.
In an original interview with Lockdown Sceptics, Prof Jay Bhattacharya, Professor of Medicine at Stanford, says vaccine passports are a terrible idea, variants are over-hyped and masks are pointless.
A retired dentist has written a guest post for Lockdown Sceptics about his decision not to have the jab.
Boris Johnson has signalled that he would not stop pubs from demanding that drinkers prove they have had a Covid jab before entering. Such ideas have previously been dismissed by Government officials as "discriminatory".
Members of the public have five more days to submit their views to the Government's review into 'COVID-Status Certification'.
The Government is considering introducing Covid "certificates" without which people would be unable to attend large events post-lockdown. The documents would show whether people have had a vaccine or a negative test.
Turkey is set to join the list of countries willing to accept travellers who have not had the jab – provided they can produce a negative Covid test – when international travel returns in May.
Travellers into Spain will need to show vaccine passports from May. That rules out unvaccinated Brits. But what about those with the vaccine? May could still be too early, warns Grant Shapps: "you can't say for certain".
In the lead up to the Parliamentary debate on Vaccine/Immunity Passports next Monday March 15th, the UK Medical Freedom Alliance is mounting an email/letter campaign to MPs, expressing opposition to this measure.
