New Overseas Travel System Comes into Force This Week

by Michael Curzon
4 October 2021 1:23 PM

The ‘traffic light’ system for overseas travel has been replaced by a two-tiered system containing the (significantly reduced) ‘Red List’ and, in replacement of the ‘Green’ and ‘Amber’ categories, a ‘rest of the world’ list.

The change will only benefit those who have been fully vaccinated, with pre-departure tests no longer required for returning vaccinated travellers from former Amber countries (although they’ll still have to take a day two PCR test until the end of the month). Those who haven’t been double jabbed, by contrast, will still need to take pre-departure tests before returning to the U.K., whether a country is on the ‘Red List’ or not, PCR tests on day two and day eight once back in England, and self-isolate for 10 days. The Guardian has the story.

From 4am on October 4th, there will no longer be a requirement for fully vaccinated travellers to take a test in the three days before their return from a non-Red List country.

Also, from the end of October, they will no longer be required to take a PCR test on day two of their arrival in England or Scotland – instead they will need to take a lateral flow test. If the lateral flow test is positive, they will need to isolate and take a confirmatory PCR test at no additional cost.

For those who are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated, there are currently no changes to the testing or quarantine requirements. This means if they arrive in the U.K. from any non-Red List country, they will still need to take a pre-departure test, a PCR test on day two and day eight, and quarantine at home for 10 days. If they are arriving in England, they still have the option to use the test-to-release scheme on day five.

Requirements for arrivals in the U.K. from Red List countries remain the same: a pre-departure test and the pre-booking of a mandatory 11-night quarantine hotel package, which will include two PCR tests, taken on day two and day eight, whatever your vaccination status.

All travellers, regardless of their vaccination status and the country they are travelling from, will also still need to complete a passenger locator form any time in the 48 hours before they arrive in the U.K.

The aim of the changes, according to the Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps, is to simplify rules and decrease the burden on people travelling. The new regime is expected to be fully in place in time for people returning from October half-term holidays in England.

The new rules announced apply to England. The devolved administrations are in charge of their own travel rules, but they have typically been mirroring Westminster’s approach.

Worth reading in full.

Misinformation. Probably deliberate.
If you were unvaxxed and arrived from a green list country, you didn’t have to quarantine at all and only needed the pre departure and a day 2 test before today.
That’s why Mrs Bee arrived back yesterday.

I’m going to the US for half-term and I have no intention of abiding the two-tier rules upon my return, I have a positive antibody test and this should be more than sufficient, I would be delighted to serve as a test case if they want to take me to court to collect any related fines.

Good for you. Aren’t you still at the mercy of the airlines though when it comes to taking a test before being allowed to board (both ways?) and mask wearing?

Sadly, yes – I’ve decided to bite the bullet so as to allow the kids a normal holiday. I’ve not left the country since the pandemic so wish me luck.

I returned from an Amber country, be prepared for the following if America dependant upon State is anything like Greece.
You will not be allowed on Public transport, in Public cultural buildings, you will not be allowed inside Restaurants or bars.
On return to the UK you will be hounded and harassed through test and trace in 2 days we had a test and trace visitor, who turned up in the dark in a Black S class Mercedes and proceeded after checks to sit on our drive watching the house for 15 minutes, the next day we each had 6 contacts by phone from T&T, followed by a visit from a Police woman to check we were following the rules. We live in a small rural village with radical covidarians, so we could not go out to even walk the dog, our day 2 test disnt come back until day 7, at which point we took the day 5 test to release another 80 pounds each.
The Government now operate like the Mafia, they extort money and they use threats and intimidation to try and break the disobedient. No Lawyer will look at a case believe me I tried 3 London Human rights firms. It wasn’t the “right case for them”.
If I can say one thing, it didn’t break me it just made me more determined to stand up to them, I acknowledge my life will change going forwards as the Government introduces the Caste system into the UK and I become the equivalent of an untouchable. But if that is what is to be so be it, I will not succumb to evil which is what these people stand for,

Good luck enjoy your break, go for it.

They don’t, New Normals I know still cling on to the belief that the vaccines significantly reduce transmission based on a thing they remember seeing three months ago in The Guardian.

There are still people out there who want the unvaccinated banned from everything and who see them as a reservoir of disease. People still wear masks to stop themselves getting Covid… The situation won’t resolve quickly for sure.

Yes, it’s brilliantly evil. Joe Two-jabs Public wants a reward and wants to see those who “cannot be bothered” punished, and the government is happy to give it to them under the guise of pretending it means something useful in public health terms. The public have not fully grasped that this is not really a proper vaccine, or they know but prefer not to think about it.

Does anyone know why the PLF has to be submitted within 48 hours of travel? Why can’t it be done weeks in advance if you know where you are going to be (i.e. usually at home)?

I hope someone is taking the government to court over this arbitrary discrimination.

Vaccines do not reduce risk of infection or transmission, so there is no reasonable basis for this discrimination.

The government loses this one for sure.

This is another low point for me. So patently absurd and punitive.

Anyone care to guess how long this quarantine abomination will last? I’m sort of banking on it being ditched by next summer. Maybe that’s wishful thinking.

The overall aim is to curtail travel for the prols and reserve it for the elite while at the same time ensuring every human is digitally ID’d and fully injected with their nanotech hardware. So it will last until everyone has been fitted out with their system upgrades and then it will morph into climate restrictions.

Unfortunately I think it is wishful thinking. I’ve got the feeling that next year the negative test alone will no longer be enough to travel internationally. It’ll be vaccination plus a test. Here in Italy the Prime Minister insists that all participants in meetings he’s chairing be jabbed and tested and this is becoming common in other settings. It’s the only way the “vaccine” enthusiasts can keep their story going. Awful as it sounds these next few months might be the last chance for us non-jabbed to travel.

Draghi the Pontius Pilate of the European Union, Italy is now just a department of the Brussels EU. It is no longer a sovreign state. Italy that was rescued by the allies, Italy that did not take part in the persecution of the Jews, instead it now actively participates in the persecution of its own countrymen under the leadership of an undemocratically placed Politician.

France admits a certain class of uninjected foreigners – and then sends them over to the UK. It also admits the elite – who freely travel without any restrictions being imposed. So we now know who the privileged class are to be in their New Normal society – and its isnt us.

There is at present an Act (whatever they call them) wending it’s way through the US lawmakers.
It will require passengers taking off from or landing in a US territory being fully vaccinated.
A Senator I know doesn’t think it’ll pass as it is, but he thinks if restricted to foreigners, no one will die in a ditch to oppose it.
We’re in the USA now, but expect to be wheels up before they change the law.
I doubt we’ll ever return.

Well, that’s it – ‘Covid’ has been a scare story right from the beginning, and it has worked brilliantly. 80% of the nation frightened of an invisible virus, and made to believe in the magic ‘vaccines’ and that anyone who doesn’t take them is a threat.
Vaccine Passes already here, just not mandated yet for everyday domestic use, not in the UK anyway. I think everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before they are brought to the fore.
What is surprising is that there has been so little resistance to this blatant scam – Boris and pals have, and still are, getting away Scot free. As are the members of the SAGE committee. As are all the owners of the companies touting the PCR tests. As is the private company doing the ‘vaccinations’ in schools:

They have divided us so effectively, any resistance has been effectively neutralised. It was the first thing they did – made sure we were personally isolated before they rolled out the control measures.

“Vaccines are created to attempt to replicate the immunity we get from having been infected with a disease.”

If someone has antibodies from having had covid, and recovered, there’s zero case for them to have the vaccine. It’s that simple.

You also only have to look at how the WHO have redefined ‘herd immunity’ to see the wickedness that’s happening.

Because it IS about control & nothing to do with infections.
That much was clear early on.
Did you not know that the Infection Fatality Ratio is now estimated to be the same as seasonal influenza?
Since the IFR for flu varies year to year (not that we obsess about it) this means the IFR for SARS-COV-2 is LESS than for the more unpleasant flu seasons.

We need high profile public figures to band together and declare that these discriminatory rules are illegitimate and nobody should be expected to obey them at all, except under protest and in response to direct coercion. Fines and punishments for disregarding them are wrongful and should be opposed in every way possible.

They should state that they are not based on any scientific or rational justification, are discriminatory and not relevant to any health issue directly related to travel, but solely intended to coerce compliance with the mass “vaccination” policy, and therefore they are immoral. Nobody disobeying them should be regarded as in any way a wrongdoer, and in fact anybody assisting in their enforcement is engaging in wrongdoing, and “obeying orders” is no defence or excuse.

That is the line that should be held.

Whoever stands up & says that will immediately be given zero time & attention on any main media platform.
No TV, radio or print newspaper.
Then, any posts on Twitter or FB, together with any video on YouTube, will be taken down because they’ll be judged “misinformation”.
Failed Eng Lit grads will be paid pennies to write hit pieces, making them all it to be “Darlings of the anti-vaxxer movement” & ideally an entirely fake Wikipedia stub drafted to show what an awful person you are.

I’m not guessing, but relating my own personal history. This marks my 40th year of training & practise in relevant life sciences. I was once a VP in research in one of the larger drug companies & also founded and led as CEO a biotech company that made a lot of money for the investors. Finally, I’d made zero public comments about anything beyond my narrow trade press. Ever.

Stepping up to point out that the whole narrative was a pack of lies gave rise to the rewards listed above. I imagine others less stubborn than me would have given up. I was also fired from board positions on a couple of privately held biotechs, my work history judged useful, but I had to go as I’d become “controversial”.

So I doubt anyone will stand up.

All of the covid restrictions were law. There was guidance like social distancing and 1 hour exercise a day that was not law (in England at least) but the rest was. Often not easy to enforce, but law all the same. Some of the stuff around isolation is/was guidance, but I think the isolation on return from travel is law. This is a good link but there are 508 SIs to trawl through. https://www.hansardsociety.org.uk/publications/data/coronavirus-statutory-instruments-dashboard

The unscientific nonsense that purports to justify these discriminatory practices, discussed and dismissed by an actual expert – a Professor of viral immunology:

Tom Woods show: Ep. 1982 Professor Leaves Vaccine Mandates in Shreds
30th September 2021

“Byram Bridle is a professor of viral immunology at the University of Guelph in Canada. His letter to the president of his university is a ten-megaton bomb directed at vaccine mandates.”

Prof Bridle also shines a light on the hypocritical and devious activity of public bodies such as Guelph university, complying with covid panic measures despite knowing and admitting their stupidity.

“research from three independent groups has now demonstrated that those with naturally acquired immunity experience more severe side-effects from COVID-19 vaccines than those who were immunologically naïve prior to vaccination. In other words, for those with natural immunity, vaccination is not only unnecessary, but it would put them at enhanced risk of harm.” THAT is the scientific position!

There is good reason, it is all about domination. This Government seeks to dominate, and to do this the ultimate example of domination is having control in return for basic human rights the ability to command what is done to the body of every man, woman and child in the Uk. Those that have not submitted are a danger to the Party and must be punished and removed. They demand and will get total obedience and will disguise it as keeping the people safe and protected. The only thing people need to be protected from is this Government

This makes absolutely no sense at all. They have already stated that the fully jabbed can still catch and pass on the ‘virus’ so making those un jabbed pay more and jump through more hoops is unethical and makes one question their motives.

Where are the Lawyers? The Good men and women?
Nowhere to be seen. Has there ever been a more blatant example of discrimination by a Government?
The Government has publicly acknowledged that the “vaxxine” neither confers immunity or stops transmission. Medically from a risk perspective a vaccinated person is no different to an unvaccinated person, the difference is signing up to a political parties ideology and performing the digital equivalent of taking the knee, by carrying a proof of belonging. That is the only difference between the vaxxed and the unvaxxed. But what do we see the vaxxed are given priviliges and “freedoms” by virtue of their political affiliation which the unvaxxed are not, instead the unvaxxed are punished through imprisonment and fines, in the disguise of house arrest and extortianate charges for tests.
Imagine if the Government changed vaccine status for skin colour, religion or sex?
But all comply and the lawyers they do nothing, I wonder what will they do when retention of the Government pass and its brownie points for the followers is made contingent on having boosters every 6 months

2

Grant Schapps still doesn’t get it, does he? Whether vaxxed or not, a negative test is a negative test, and there is no virus (or no sufficient viral load) to transmit, as basically asymptomatic transmission is a fiction. He must surely know that. He is also still denying natural antibody immunity is much more effective and longer lasting than any vaccine induced immunity. When do we get these numbskulls into court, to be questioned under oath?
