16 and 17 Year-Olds Will Be Able to Get Covid Vaccine Without Parental Consent

by Michael Curzon
4 August 2021 6:46 PM

Some U.K. vaccination clinics have been giving 16 and 17 year-olds a Covid ‘jab’ in recent weeks, provided they were accompanied by a parent or guardian, but it is now understood that children in this age bracket will not require parental consent when the vaccine roll-out is extended in the coming weeks. MailOnline has the story.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) recommended the 1.4 million youngsters should be offered Pfizer jabs, marking a dramatic U-turn on guidance the same panel issued two weeks ago.

Health Secretary Sajid Javid said the NHS would dish out invites “as soon as possible”, with the goal of getting the oldest teenagers protected before they return to classrooms in September.

Professor Jonathan Van-Tam, England’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer, said there was “no time to waste”.

He also laid the groundwork for ministers to expand the inoculation drive to all over-12s in the near future, saying that the JCVI would “continually review” the evidence. …

Pfizer’s vaccine has been linked to a rare side effect called myocarditis – inflammation of the heart muscle. Data from the U.S., which has been giving the jab to children for months, shows the complication affects one in 100,000 teenage boys after the first dose, but this rises to about one in 15,000 after the second dose.

Officials close to the programme said a child would be able to give consent for the jab if they were able to understand the risks and benefits of any medical treatment. …

Boris Johnson today called on families to listen to the advice from No 10’s top scientists, saying that the committee was “among the best in the world” and that the country should “take our lead from them”.

Professor Van-Tam… told a Downing Street press conference today that the first inoculations for 16 and 17 year-olds would be given “in a very short number of weeks”.

He said: “Children are going to start going back to colleges and sixths forms from September, and in Scotland that will be slightly earlier, so there is no time to waste in getting on with this.” …

More than eight in 10 Britons… support the move, polling suggests, including more than 50% of people who strongly support offering jabs to the younger age groups.

Worth reading in full.

Stop Press: According to the ONS, nearly 80% of 16-24 year-olds have Covid antibodies. Why, then, do 16 and 17 year-olds need to be double jabbed? MailOnline has more.

I assumed the increased purchasing of clot-busting drugs was for the boosters. Looks like it’a for the kids.

This proves beyond all doubt this is NOT about health, but people still don’t see it.

Well, it might not be murder (fingers crossed). But it will be the triumph of cynical corporate medicalisation of healthy people and the biggest drugs push in the history of the world.

1 in 15,000 gets myocarditis!!! And that’s the ones that get diagnosed. What about all the poor teens who will be fobbed off with indigestion and a Rennies only to find years later that they have heart damage. Surely way fewer than 1 in 15,000 will be seriously ill with covid so how on earth is this justified?

USD 33 billion profits – the children will bring in some more. Isn’t that all the justification that’s needed?

A lot of parents have said “Over my dead body” so I expect we’ll shortly see some more dead bodies labelled as ‘Covid cases’.

If every fit boy taking the Pfizer jab had their troponins ( blood marker of heart muscle injury ) taken a few days after the jab you would I suspect show 5 % with elevated values. They might not be aware of the damage and would probably ignore a couple of days of chest pain, taking some ibuprofen.

Myocarditis post Pfizer jab is real and those young men ending up in hospital are given an MRI to investigate the damage. For every young man ending up in hospital with an official diagnosis of myocarditis there will be ten times that number suffering at home.

There shouldn’t be any trials on children but if only the one they’re doing did this troponins test.

Well Sajid, I’ll put in a word and we’ll offload then into some school children.

All people aged 16 and over are deemed to have capacity under the mental capacity act of 2005 unless it can be shown that they’re not.
Under the children act a child is defined as anyone under the age of 18.

If a person with capacity decides to take a particular course of action, no matter how ill advised, then that decision is valid.
There is a situation where this is a grey area, and that is when the child refuses essential medical treatment, that decision can be reversed either by an adult with parental responsibility or the courts.
A child under the age of 16 can consent if they can fully comprehend the risks and benefits of a procedure, and are able to demonstrate that understanding. (Gillick competency). If a child under 16 declines a medical procedure then consent can be given by a person with parental responsibility.

There are two issues here, the headline talks of consent; which is misleading as it is irrelevant for 16/17 year old children.
”For consent to be valid, it must be voluntary and informed, and the person consenting must have the capacity to make the decision.
The meaning of these terms are:

  • voluntary – the decision to either consent or not to consent to treatment must be made by the person, and must not be influenced by pressure from medical staff, friends or family
  • informed – the person must be given all of the information about what the treatment involves, including the benefits and risks, whether there are reasonable alternative treatments, and what will happen if treatment does not go ahead
  • capacity – the person must be capable of giving consent, which means they understand the information given to them and can use it to make an informed decision

If an adult has the capacity to make a voluntary and informed decision to consent to or refuse a particular treatment, their decision must be respected.
This is still the case even if refusing treatment would result in their death, or the death of their unborn child.”

“People aged 16 or over are entitled to consent to their own treatment. This can only be overruled in exceptional circumstances.
Like adults, young people (aged 16 or 17) are presumed to have sufficient capacity to decide on their own medical treatment, unless there’s significant evidence to suggest otherwise.
Children under the age of 16 can consent to their own treatment if they’re believed to have enough intelligence, competence and understanding to fully appreciate what’s involved in their treatment. This is known as being Gillick competent.
Otherwise, someone with parental responsibility can consent for them.
This could be:

  • the child’s mother or father
  • the child’s legally appointed guardian
  • a person with a residence order concerning the child
  • a local authority designated to care for the child
  • a local authority or person with an emergency protection order for the child“

“What is capacity?Capacity means the ability to use and understand information to make a decision, and communicate any decision made.
A person lacks capacity if their mind is impaired or disturbed in some way, which means they’re unable to make a decision at that time.
Examples of how a person’s brain or mind may be impaired include:

  • mental health conditions – such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder
  • dementia
  • severe learning disabilities
  • brain damage – for example, from a stroke or other brain injury
  • physical or mental conditions that cause confusion, drowsiness or a loss of consciousness
  • intoxication caused by drugs or alcohol misuse

Someone with such an impairment is thought to be unable to make a decision if they cannot:

  • understand information about the decision
  • remember that information
  • use that information to make a decision
  • communicate their decision by talking, using sign language or any other means“

“A child under the age of 16 can consent if they can fully comprehend the risks and benefits of a procedure,”
Since very, very few adults have been given the information to be able to give true informed consent I can’t imagine they’re about to enable the children to do so.
At the end of the day they want them jabbed and are happy to break every law, hippocratic oath etc to achieve it because they believe they can act without impunity, which sadly at the moment they can.

Just to clarify my previous comment, that is the legal position for consent for 16/17 year olds, this does not mean neither should it be assumed that I support the vaccination for any child.
In fact, I would say that neither the Moderna/Pfizer mRNA or the AstraZeneca vaccines should be given to anyone under the age of 25. This is because these vaccines circumvent the innate immune system, which is the primary immune system in younger children. The adaptive immune system doesn’t mature completely until around the age of 18-20. Childhood vaccines work because they do trigger all levels of the immune system.

Make that 70 and I’d agree.

The innate immune system is important in everyone until the point where it pretty much stops working.

But you’re right in that children’s innate immune system is important — you get seroconversion (antibodies being made) in about 20% of covid infections in children — and they all have long term protection against covid — ie, it isn’t simply about antibodies.

AFAICT, once short term protection is lost the vaccines push covid risk to an older age group — I’d estimate about 10 years — up to about 85 where the risks can’t get worse. We should see the impact of this in the coming winter wave (should be early-mid December, but the mass vaccinations have mucked about with timings a bit — and it also depends on whether this wave descends to zero cases or if there is a plateau at about 3,000-5,000 cases).

Van Tam: “Children are going to start going back to colleges and sixths forms from September, and in Scotland that will be slightly earlier, so there is no time to waste in getting on with this.”

Just 56% of 16-24 year olds from figures back were of normal weight in 2019. 37% were overweight or obese, and 7% underweight. (Reference)

This age demographic is under severe peer pressure to conform when starting colleges and meeting new people.

Jonathan Van-Tam, former Smithkline Beecham (GSK these days) employee presented a recorded lecture at Chatham House no less on anti-virals in Jan 2019. The same Chatham House conference where Belgium Flu Commissioner, Marc Van Rast gave his now infamous lecture on how to prepare public engagement with the press/main stream media. https://vimeo.com/320913130

So, if this is informed consent, they will be told point blank that there is a 1 in 15,000 chance of myocarditis which can be pretty serious. And a 1 in what, 500,000 chance they’ll die of COVID-19?
Who would say yes to those odds?

You also have to be very careful with informed consent with children, particularly because of the ethics of working with peer pressure.

Eg, all child vaccine candidates should be given information on the importance of making up your own mind and not being swayed by pressure from others.

Just reading up on cardiac inflammation resulting from Step infection in rheumatic fever:

“Molecular mimicry occurs when epitopes are shared between host antigens and Streptococcus antigens. This causes an autoimmune reaction against native tissues in the heart that are incorrectly recognized as “foreign” due to the cross-reactivity of antibodies generated as a result of epitope sharing”

Don’t suppose that could happen with spike proteins expressed in cardiac tissue?

truly sickening we now must accept that we are being led by creatures more akin to the Nazis and Mengele than any previous democratic UK Government.
Children will die, they will be harmed, and no one knows the long term effects of these drugs on their future health. For a disease they do not suffer from.
Note how this has been pushed through when Parliament is in recess, note how the 150 plus jobs have appeared on recruitment sites in the past couple of days for school “immunisation” officials. You do not pull together a job spec, brief an agency and start a recruitment campaign in a week! this has been planned for months and the timing is of course cynical. The press will go along because the first child injured or worse will make a great story. I cannot express how completely repellent and sickening I find these Adults who are supposed to protect Children, who are instead preying on them as bad as any child abuser in order to satisfy their own craven desires. Boris Johnson and the Conservatives all of them have hit the bottom of the pit, they are now beyond the comprehension of any decent human being.

Let me get this right, in the UK, if you are under the age of 18 you cannot:
– Buy a lottery ticket
– Get married without a parent’s permission
– Join the army without a parent’s permission
– Buy alcohol
– Buy a stratch card
– Go to a nightclub
– Go to a casino
– Enter into particular contracts
I could go on. Yet, the government deems you capable of consenting to an experimental jab?

Seriously though, it is bonkers. Considered to be too young for any of those things, but old/mature enough when it comes to weighing up something of this magnitude. And, let’s face it, they are _not_ going to have any balanced risk/benefit advice – it will all be strongly weighted that the ‘benefits’ far outweigh any ‘rare’ risks etc. They also have to deal with peer pressure. And the constant propaganda/misinformation from the government and media.

A fookin disgrace.

“Quite how the MHRA deemed the Pfizer mRNA jab to be safe for use in children, however, is anyone’s guess when you consider 86% of children who took part in the short two month trial suffered an adverse reaction to the Pfizer jab ranging from mild to extremely serious.

Perhaps money talks? Especially when it comes from a certain Mr Bill Gates who’s organisation is the primary funder of the MHRA to the tune of $3 million. The same money also helped to ensure the United States FDA gave emergency use approval for the Pfizer jab to be given to children aged 12 – 15 and unfortunately we’re now starting to see the grave consequences of this decision.

Consequences that are both tragic, and completely unnecessary. These new “vaccines” are still in trials until 2023 at the earliest, this means they are experimental. This is precisely why they have only been given emergency use approval. There is no emergency when it comes to children and the alleged Covid-19 disease, not a single child has died of Covid-19, and they do not suffer serious disease either.

UK authorities have clearly not learnt from the United States mistakes which have led to the deaths of numerous children?

A 16 year-old female received the Pfizer vaccine on the 19th March 2021. Nine days later the same female went into cardiac arrest at home. By the 30th March 2021 she had sadly died.””

This is the stuff that needs to be shouted from the rooftops. Many if not all JCVI members work for or are funded by or are hypnotised and controlled by big pharma and the ugly technocratic agenda. Can we not wake up from this hideous entryist nightmare and not jog along believing these individuals have any interest in the welfare of this (or any other) country.

This is business and politics to these people, not science. The politicians have sold us out to these sociopathic boffins.

I would suggest very strongly that Professor Wei Shen Lim has as much interest in the wellbeing and health of the people of the UK as my Aunt Fanny.

Unless of course it’s the Berkshire Shen Lims, who have been irreproachable in their unstinting service to the nation over many centuries.

Ministers just send you back a photocopy of a standard letter – if they can be bothered to do even that.
They’re just Boris’s henchmen now. All getting backhanders.

Still, we could look on it as 2 birds with one stone: an intelligence test plus a eugenics experiment. Now, what was that song that keeps going round in my brain: oh yes – ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Ta da’!

Eugenics is the marxist states picking economic winners applied to genetics (Fabian society etc were bigly into it before they decided dysgenics was the way to meddle instead).
This would be natural selection to an un-natural pressure.

Looking for the silver lining on a nuclear mushroom cloud has brought out my pedanticity.

This man is a true patriot and hero- we can only dream of having someone like this standing up for us and particularly our children in the UK. Nice to know that not all leaders are pathetic, spineless nobodies in thrall to the soothsayers.

“Why, then, do 16 and 17 year-olds need to be double jabbed?”
Well Michael, the reason is because the vaccines are not about stopping the virus….
Follow the logic trail and you will get to universal digital id systems.
CONTROL.
Come on guys you keep rounding the edge of the rabbit hole refusing to go down it.

“Stop Press: According to the ONS, nearly 80% of 16-24 year-olds have Covid antibodies. Why, then, do 16 and 17 year-olds need to be double jabbed?”

Asking the obvious, again.
I think this website enabled comments just so that we could answer those questions and spare them the stigma. Get off the fucking fence already.

Because the authorities are natural immunity deniers!! Only vaccine makes clean, having an infection and developing immunity from that seems to be so old science these days!

And not one of them will have heard of a Chinese company called Sinopeg and the inclusion of a ‘commercially sensitive’ undisclosed ingredient in the mRNA gene therapy products, so they won’t have queried why it is there and what it does.

The propaganda is now out of control. I doubt 16 and 17 yr olds who think for themselves will get this jab. Those unfortunately who are glued to their social media will follow the crowd. The education system in this country having done its job in breaking down family and community.

All part of the communist plan: Get the children onboard and break down the family structure.

16 year olds can vote here in Scotland, can make all these big big life long decisions…..but can’t buy fags or beer. Hmmmmm

Just another subversion tactic, get them while they are young and you have them for decades to come.

Was it Lenin that said that?

Boris Johnson today called on families to listen to the advice from No 10’s top scientists, saying that the committee was “among the best in the world”

Best in the world at what? Scaremongering? Hiding behind the sofa? Taking funding from Big Pharma? Taking money from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation?

Dear JCVI members

We understand you don’t need to explain and show your workings for your dramatic U-turn. Why would you? You are men and women of exemplary moral character. That is clear.

Don’t feel obliged or badgered to do so – it’s not really our business. (We have a strong sense that it’s yours). And truth be told – we trust you. Do as you will! (Didn’t Crowley say that?).

Jab babies, don’t jab babies, jab pregnant women, don’t jab pregnant women, mix and match the vaccines, give them one day apart, ten years apart, approve and add a new magic ingredient and disclose what it is or don’t disclose. We trust you. You’ve got us. We know that.

A bit like having a hunch on a Grand National runner – you don’t have to say why you stuck a tenner on it – it merely seemed like a good idea at the time. Win or lose we know you’ve got our backs. Your nature shines through you (Didn’t Macbeth say that?)

And as that great standard by Billie Holiday has it: Don’t Explain. You don’t have to. We’re post rationality and reason now and thank Thoth for that.

Just tell us. We trust you.

We give you the Green Light – hold us in the palm of your hands, we know you’ll do the right thing.

Etc. etc.

I had 2 jabs. BUT I CHOSE TO!
It boils my piss (sorry to be crude) about the coersion and lies being used by my Gov to impose this on anyone. Never mind the complete abandonment of any sign of our usual standard of the medical ethics our country is usually admired for.
How have my fellow country men and women allowed this to happen?
I truly feel like I’m living on an alien world with no transport back to Earth available.

People who had already had COVID were excluded from all phases of the Pfizer trials https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04368728, so the proposal is in effect to offer an UNTESTED vaccine to the majority of 16-17 year olds who have antibodies. Giving a treatment to the general public without careful followup is not testing; that’s how they used to do things in the 1950s and it led to the thalidomide disaster, which took several years to emerge.

“Officials close to the programme said a child would be able to give consent for the jab if they were able to understand the risks and benefits of any medical treatment. …”

Maybe we should find one of these children and put them on the national broadcast services to explain the risks and benefits to everyone, because none of the government’s so-called experts are doing so.

Where’s the outrage in Big Media and their hypnotised followers? Adolescents with naturally strong immune systems and next to zero fatality risk from Covid 19, or whatever is floating around, being pushed into taking experimental gene manipulation injections. No scientific basis at all for this. God knows what will happen to their health in the future from this.

I’d like to report some good news from here in Lockdownunder.
The New South Wales government, they of the punched horse and police drones, decided to hike vaccines intended for the regional areas and give them instead to city schoolkids.
That upset people in the regions, and then a large number of the schoolies said ‘Err, thanks but I’d rather not.’
It takes a special skill to shoot oneself in both feet at the same time.

For a case fatality rate of .03% in under 50’s, minimal safety and efficacy data, no long term data. What kind of a medical authority would ever authorise this? Not one I would trust or take advice from.

Dr Vernon Coleman has said that it took 3 years before they admitted to the damaging effects of thalidomide. Looking further back’ it’s intersting how up intil the late 19th century the medical profession pushed the taking of mercury as a cure-all. That’s where the phrase ‘mad as a hatter’ came from – hatters used mercury in the production of felt. Don’t trust medical ‘experts’ is my conclusion from both the past and the present-day shenanigans.
