50% Of People Vaccinated In Wales

by Michael Curzon
12 April 2021 4:15 PM

Wales has become the first UK nation to give a first dose of Covid vaccine to half of its population. The country is also leading the way in its rollout of second doses, with one in six now fully vaccinated against Covid. The Guardian has the story.

Some 1.59 million people had received a first jab by April 11th, according to figures from Public Health Wales, which is the equivalent of 50.4% of the population.

The other nations are a short way behind, with Scotland up to 48.8%, England on 48.2% and Northern Ireland at 43.6%.

Wales was the first nation of the UK to roll out the Moderna vaccine, with the first batch given last week. Scotland has also started using the Moderna jab, and England is due to follow later this month.

Wales is also leading the field for second doses, with the equivalent of 16.8% of its total population – or one in six – fully vaccinated against Covid.

England is some way behind on 11.3%, followed by Scotland on 10.8% and Northern Ireland on 10.5%.

Despite the success of its vaccine rollout, Wales hasn’t yet allowed hospitality businesses to open. They remain closed, including out of doors, until April 26th.

Worth reading in full.

AARGGGHH!

Enough of parroting MSM news releases about the vaccine. Nobody here cares!
If we did, we’d be reading the MSM, not coming here! Just stop it, please!

“Despite the success of its vaccine rollout”

In what way is it a success?

  • More than 700 people have died in the UK following vaccination according to the government’s Yellow Card reporting scheme. There have been more than 300,000 adverse effects reports.
  • The AZ vaccine has been restricted all across Europe in the age groups it can be used for
  • Clinical testing of the vaccines will not be complete until 2023. For now, the vaccine rollout is in fact an unprecedented mass test of an experimental medical intervention
  • While some of the short-term side-effects (including death) are now becoming known, the long-term side-effects are not
  • The vaccine, for most people under the age of 65, is unnecessary due to the mortality profile of the virus. Very few fit and healthy people under the age of 65 die of COVID-19
  • By the manufacturers’ own admission, the vaccines may not prevent infection with SARS-COV-2 nor transmission of it. These are not, by any normal sense of the word “vaccines”.

Please, can you stop copy/pasting these congratulatory articles verbatim from pro-vaccine MSM websites with little commentary. I don’t think it’s adding anything to the site.

You are spot on. The vaccine is nothing to be celebrated. For most people it’s completely unnecessary and for some, proving fatal. The logistics in delivering it to so many is to be applauded, but that’s where it ends. Another epic government waste of money together with track and trace and the twice weekly testing kits! And let’s remember we were going to be released from lockdown when the vulnerable had been vaccinated – absolute piffle.

What vaccines?
They are gene therapies.

I’d imagine that few people even know about the Yellow Card reporting scheme which means that the true number of adverse effects could well be significantly higher.

Exactly. Mrs Dent has had the AZ vaccine and she was not told about it, for sure. And was not told about any likely side-effects either. Really really shoddy.

If she’d bothered to read the information sheet provided with the jab she’d have known all about yellow card and the side effects.
Thats why its given to everyone receiving a vaccination…

When the population is being given a pharmaceutical product which is still in stage 3 clinical trials, has not been tested against any other commonly used medication, and only has emergency approval to be used on the public, the authorities should not be relying on small print to inform people of both the side-effect risks and how they can report these.

There are occasional mentions of the Yellow Card reporting scheme by Daily Mail commenters but, as you rightly say, very few people know about it.

I asked about it at a vacc centre and was told it was for use by the staff at the centre for reporting issues that occurred whilst a person was there – ie for the 15 minutes after the vaccination. I was not impressed.

If all those deaths and adverse effects were recorded in the vaccination centre 15 mins after the jab it would a monumental scandal. The way it is, they knew it could be all put down to coincidentlidied in the weeks after.

Exactly. Is the aim to get back into the good(?) graces of the bastards who were once ‘friends’? Because this is getting quite pathetically servile.

I have seen no wide-angle article looking in a balanced way at the snake-oil benefits and detriments, the necessity of them for a pretty ordinary virus, the real-time absolute risk reduction, the fundamental ethical issues, and the cheaper and safer prophylactic alternatives.

All I see – as remarked – is a flow of repetitions of the propaganda line.

WTF???

WELL SAID. Too bloody right thank you for pointing out the number of deaths it’s a scandal. And all LS does is repeat self congratulatory headlines from MSM. Not what I visit this site for. Need to be looking more into those deaths and the 500,000 + adverse reactions to the “vaccines”.😡

The vaccine nonsense just carries on the big lie. That we are presented with a virus so unlike anything we’ve seen before that we have to throw all our plans out the window and put the entire country under house arrest for a year. Rush out a vaccine still in early testing, give it emergency licensing and push for it to be given to children.

The vaccine nonsense is worse than the lockdown nonsense in my opinion.

To give these unlicensed, experimental injections to children is simply evil.

… but the main issue is that – even if they worked – they are unnecessary for any medical reason.

Basically, any doctor giving these to minors is in breach of his/her code of ethics and long-established protocols.

If LS is short of material and is considering linking to a Guardianista piece, how about interviewing people who have been harmed by the lockdown or vaccine and holding the interviews in reserve until you have a space that needs filling? The fakemedia have used ‘case’ stories as propaganda for more than a year now. Who knows if their fearmongering cases are even real? We could counter with a few truthful heart-rending stories for honest emotional impact.

“leading the way” “rollout” “success”…

These are all babyish ways of describing what has happened.

A sceptics site should be asking some serious questions of the massvax programme:

  1. Is it necessary? (Definitely not, for 80% of the population.)
  2. Is it wise to mass vaccinate against common respiratory viruses? (No, in the view of many doctors as it simply creates opportunities for other, novel pathogens – potentially way more dangerous ones that could kill hundreds of millions of healthy people in worst case scenario.)
  3. How many elderly, frail and vulnerable people has the vaccine killed? (A lot – and the vaccine is supposed to be protecting them!)
  4. The very elderly now protected from Covid and with no flu about – what can they look forward to dying from now? (Sepsis with amputation, long drawn out cancers or Alzheimers).
  5. Is this Covax programme taking us forward to a dystopian maxvax future where we are going to be coerced into receiving hundreds of DNA gene vaccines for common diseases and/or mental ill health or even perceived character faults with social activity permits being denied us unless we accede to be vaccinated? (All the evidence points to a positive answer.)
  6. Are there serious health risks from these vaccines? (Yes – and not just the very rare blood clot syndromes).

An excellent summary of the main issues. Knee-jerk “vaccines are good” attitudes are just lazy, dangerous ways of thinking about public health.

I would add the lack of informed consent given the atmosphere of hysteria and the deliberate distortion and obfuscation of any useful, meaningful information about covid. A lot of focus has been put on the possible dangers of the vaccines, rightly, but more fundamental to a reasoned decision is what dangers they supposedly save you from – and if you can’t easily quantify those, you’re working in the dark.

When did Westminster EVER do anything positive for the good people of Wales? Dear God, I dread to think what this already struggling population are going to do.

Just watch as more capitalists sweep in to take their beautiful farms and amazing land from under the debilitated citizens.

Wales gets 106% of average UK public expenditure per head, since Wales’ per capita GDP is much lower than England’s; this represents a subsidy from English taxpayers to fund Socialism in Wales. The subsidy to scots is much  larger. Scotland gets per hear 122% of the average uk, Scotland would be mad to choose independence, I hope they do so that there is more money for Wales and NI. If England wants an empire she has to pay the bribes, else we’d dump England and chose the EU, highest bidder usually takes it, as a rule.

I’m still looking for some study that proves that the rollouts of the vaccine are a primary cause of the dramatic plunges in cases, hospitalizations and deaths observed in most countries and U.S. states since the virus “peak” around January 12. The fact is these plunges began before 98 percent of the population had been “fully vaccinated.” In Alabama, daily new cases surpassed 5,400 on 1-12-21 and are now averaging around 300/day (a recent day saw 112 new cases). This represents a decline in new cases of about 95 percent. Even today, only about 15 percent of our state’s population has been “fully vaccinated” (and most of those who have received both doses are much older – the cohort of the population that does not interact with many other people.

I think it had run it’s course. I was looking at the Our World Data covid data the other day and compared UK and Portugal for deaths per million population. Their trajectory for late 2020 to now mirrors our own in both rapid increase followed by rapid decline.
Then compare the same two countries for vacinnation rates and you’ll see a massive difference. I just don’t buy the vaccine success story.
When the next winter flu season hits late 2021 it’s going to be interesting to see if the vaccinated folks end up like the poor ferrets they tested the last mRNA coronavirus vaccines on.

What happened to the ferrets? Why did they die?

My understanding is that until C19 these mRNA vaccines had only ever been utilised in animal trials and had always resulted in death.

Your understanding is completely incorrect.
As can be easily shown with a 5 minute glance at the peer reviewed trial data and published articles before that.
Also, AZ isnt mRNA based.

The virus is/was clearly “seasonal.” All the NPIs had nothing to do with any of the metrics. We could have had no NPIs and the numbers would have been the same, or had the most stringent measures and they would have been the same.

LS is sounding more and more like a vaccine fanzine every day. Maybe I’m assuming too much in that I thought the average lockdown sceptic would also cast a sceptical eye over these rushed gene therapies being enthusiastically pushed by governments. Heck, I’dve thought most sensible people would be sceptical about ANYTHING a government was enthusiastic about! Seems not.
