Travel for the Unvaxxed: Nearly There!

by Dr Roger Watson
11 May 2023 9:00 AM

Hail to the Chief! By order of the U.S. President Joe Biden the requirement for proof of Covid vaccination was dropped, effective from today for entry to the USA. However, with less publicity and of some import, China dropped its requirement for a PCR test on April 29th, requiring only a rapid antigen (lateral flow) test taken in the 48 hours prior to boarding your flight to China which “may be checked at Customs on arrival”. It requires a health declaration online prior to entry.

Since my previous update on the countries to which the unvaxxed may travel a lot has changed. Since that update on April 4th a further 37 countries (including the U.S.) — with a possible 38th — have seen the light and lifted vaccine requirements for entry. Notably, amongst these, Azerbaijan has dropped all requirements but the rest, without exception, require some form of COVID-19 test prior to entry.

The requirements of two countries, which I have included in the 37 above – Iran and Laos – are not entirely clear with what seems like an absolute requirement for proof of COVID-19 vaccination on the one hand but with provision for testing for the unvaccinated on the other. My advice, if you must travel to either of these countries, is to keep checking the requirements or to liaise with an embassy or airline. Chile could be the 38th country on the ‘freedom’ list, but what the entry requirements are is not provided on its website.

Some of those which continued to require a COVID-19 test prior to entry at the time of the previous update but which had by then dropped vaccination requirements may still require a COVID-19 test. So, wherever you intend travelling, you should still check. Very few countries seem able to let go completely of some kind of COVID-19 related travel restriction.

Sadly, 15 countries have clearly not received the memo from the WHO that the COVID-19 emergency is over and are maintaining COVID-19 vaccination requirements prior to entry. These are: Angola, Bolivia, Cook Islands, Tokelau and Niue, Latvia, Malawi, Mali, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Palau, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste and Turkmenistan (“Darn!”, I hear you say).

Generally, things are better, and I don’t intend to do another update but will try to mark an ‘International Freedom Day’ when all vestiges of COVID-19 related travel restrictions have been lifted across the world. Meantime, I have applied for a Chinese visa for a visit of nearly three weeks next month. I have never been stopped at customs in Beijing airport and with the number of passengers flowing through, I very much doubt there will be any checks. I am willing to take the risk of entering untested. What’s the worst that can happen? My next article may come from a prison somewhere in China.

Dr. Roger Watson is Academic Dean of Nursing at Southwest Medical University, China. He has a PhD in biochemistry.

Just how much longer can this country (UK) justifiably keep further Covid restrictions in place? Not that they were justifiable in the first place. And that very handy, tyrants 350 page handbook, ‘Coronavirus Act 2020’, also has to go – in its entirety.

Very few of the draconian restrictions came from that Act. They came by way of secondary legislation at the whim of ministers ostensibly using powers under the 1984 Health Act.

All these countries supposedly dropping all covid restrictions are all continuing to discriminate against the unjabbed, including the UK.

We are all pretending that the jabs have saved the day.

But hey, we also pretended that covid was super dangerous, that lockdowns are effective, that masks work, that testing is helpful.

2 years of pretending turns into a hard habit to drop.

Then there is the even more cynical take which is, of course, jabbed or not jabbed makes no difference, but the jabbed need to be rewarded for paying their tax and to not discriminate would be to admit to the jabbed that it was pointless and they will never do that.

Despots don’t give in. They take everyone down with them. Like Germany and Japan fighting to the bitter end in WWII, even if it meant the destruction of the their country and deaths of millions.

And what we have in power in pretty much every country now are despots fronting for the WEF.

Until a government apologizes, ends ALL measures for ALL and vows to never implement them again, this is just tactical line giving.
And even then, we’ll only be save from a repeat after a successful prosecution of all culprits and the worst accomplices, followed by a major institutional overhaul.

I wonder, precisely who is an ‘unvaccinated’ person? If you had two jabs last summer, then you are to all extents and purposes ‘unvaccinated’ now. If you had a booster any earlier than the first week in November, then you are – again, to all extents and purposes – ‘unvaccinated’ now.

But not all. I’m sure I’ve seen this before somewhere… ah, yes: “Norway to remove almost all restrictions”, “Denmark to remove almost all restrictions”.

All restrictions have gone – just remember to show your Vaxx Pass or we won’t let you in!

Well, no surprise there.

I have concerns that the recent spate of restriction lifting across Europe is simply a media psyop campaign.

Wait and see what the new rules will be. As far as I can judge, vax passes are still required, as are tests and vaccinations.

I will happily be proved wrong.

Sorry but your response is confusing.
First question: Are you writing about British Income tax? If so that was reinstated again. So perhaps not the best example to suggest that this will not last long.
https://www.parliament.uk/about/living-heritage/transformingsociety/private-lives/taxation/overview/incometaxbolished/
If you are writing about British taxes in response to a EU proposal? As the UK is no longer in the EU I don’t understand the comparison.
Perhaps you could explain things to your audience?
If this goes ahead. It could well mean that The Brits may not be able to go on vacation to the EU, visit friends there or visit their holiday properties.
There will no doubt be many who do not care about this, but there will be a significant number who will care. Those who don’t care, care for an apartheid system.

Tegnell isn’t retired. He’s still state epidemiologist as of yesterday. We’ve seen less and less of him over the last 12-18 months presumably because his face didn’t fit once politicians got involved. He never was director of the public health agency. That’s the post that been replaced. That’s now the ghastly political puppet Karin Tegmark Visell who says exactly what she’s told to say at press conferences and shuffles like an embarrassed school girl when asked searching questions. Alongside her we also have the even more ghastly new PM Magdalena Andersson who I guess in a bid to show herself as some “iron lady” type was the driver of the absurd, petty and pointless rules which are current plus the unvarnished authoritarian virtual imposition of vaccination ongoing. Yes Sweden has fallen low! The terrible thing is that it’s still better than anywhere else. The world is in a state.

Was covid ever really a danger to society? I mean it was hardly the Black Death or the Spanish Flu was it – I mean I’ve still yet to know anyone who actually died of covid or even met someone who knew someone who died of covid – I’m sure there were deaths because of covid but for all the government propaganda about how virulent and deadly this virus was you would have thought everyone would have known someone who died of covid after two years of this insanity. Some would argue that covid was no more a threat than a severe case of seasonal flu and I would be inclined to probably agree with them – In fact when I had covid back in Feb 2020 I have to say that I ‘ve had worser cases of flu to be honest.

The government’s official figure for infection fatality rate (written answer to Parliament by Jo Churchill, Under-Secretary of State for Health) was 0.096% during the 100% Delta phase last August.

And mostly people in their 80s and with multiple comorbidities.

So, no, never a danger to society.

They knew that, of course. This was their own figure.

I’m not really interested in the removal or lifting of most / almost all restrictions.

It has to be the removal of all / every coronavirus restriction and ‘innovation’, including all the digital / paper passes and the cessation of testing and jabs.

A distinct bonus would be that every single individual and organisation involved will get their just desserts.

It was such a shame when Sweden stopped doing Science and begun following The Science(tm). The list of NPI’s perfectly shows the politicians utter ignorance. None of them will work with a virus spreading by aerosol. This was a purely political reaction. Anders must be so disappointed but probably not surprised.
