There follows a guest post by Dr. David Seedhouse, Honorary Professor of Deliberative Practice at Aston University, who wonders why the NHS has been busy updating its monkeypox webpage.
According to one section of the NHS conditions website, monkeypox was first discovered in 1958 when outbreaks of a pox-like disease occurred in monkeys kept for research. It is a well-known virus, studied by scientists for decades, spread by close contact, and has established treatments.
So why has another part of the website recently been altered?
The screenshots below (provided by an eagle-eyed member of Our Decision Too) are a little difficult to read, but close inspection shows that the NHS has deleted key excerpts from its website, which previously stated that monkeypox is “usually a mild illness that will get better on its own without treatment” and “it’s very uncommon to get monkeypox from a person with the infection because it does not spread easily between people”. (Archived pages for November 2nd, May 19th and May 21st can be found on the Internet Archive.)
Despite the previous acknowledgement that monkeypox is difficult to spread, an isolation requirement has been added, “as the infection can spread through close contact, it’s important to isolate if you’re diagnosed with it”. It continues:
You may be asked to isolate at home if your symptoms are mild.
If your symptoms are severe or you’re at higher risk of getting seriously ill (for example, if you have a weakened immune system), you may need to stay in a specialist hospital until you recover.
You may be offered a vaccination to reduce the risk of getting seriously ill.
What would happen if the patient does not want to attend a specialist hospital is not discussed, nor is it explained how a vaccination will help an already infected person.
The page was reviewed on May 27th. We are told that the next review will not be until April 25th 2025. Worth bookmarking?

It’s logical that someone with monkey pox isolates, the same as anyone with chicken pox, measles, rubella, scarlet fever or any other infectious disease.
Monkey pox is not currently a notifiable disease and so the provisions of the 1984 public health act do not apply, if it does become so then infected people can be forced to isolate by a magistrate’s order.
When I had covid I didn’t need to be told to isolate, felt rubbish, didn’t want to go anywhere.
I hope this doesn’t interfere with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. I just booked afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason’s damn it.
Nothing will be allowed to interfere with the Jubilee.

“You may be asked to” implies its voluntary, the disease is not notifiable and hence there can be no compulsion.
To me this suggests that it MAY be made notifiable, in which case the 1984 public health act can be used. However, the provisions of the 1984 act with regards to isolation and/or hospitalisation require an individual order from a magistrate. The police cannot intervene even if they think you’re infectious without a signed order from a magistrate.
The fact that it’s voluntary won’t prevent them from heaping on the pressure and coercion – just look at how they behaved over the clotshots (which were also voluntary, although many of those who had them may well not have realised this).
If they use lawful means rather than acting extra-legally, they won’t be leaving isolation orders up to local beaks. In 2019 maybe.
This is incredibly sly. Largely because this is rare, I have heard that even some medical doctors have never heard of monkeypox, never mind the general public. Given that, people will now become familiar with only the updated NHS description, and not the previously long-established information on it.
The ball is now in the court of any medical specialists who have actual knowledge and experience in treating monkeypox to put their heads above the parapet to challenge any dodgy new definitions and public health advice that might surface concerning this condition, and to educate the public about the true facts.

Can we think of a power allied to Denmark that may have conducted biowar research in that country and then used the results of its research, and carried out more research, in Africa?

If it did become a thing, it would certainly be confused with chickenpox, since the rash is similar and GPs would refuse to see people face-to-face to confirm it. There are over 600,00 cases of c’pox annually in Britain, so suddenly monkeypox would be a massive pandemic amongst children.

Actually it’s relatively easy to differentiate the two in the main. Monkey pox rash starts on the face whereas herpes varicella zoster starts in the main on the torso. Zoster is very contagious whereas monkey pox virus is not.

First principles: if a fair few people get rashes during the coming weeks and months, will the rulers and their “expert” helpers whip up fear and submissiveness, including a readiness to submit to unexpected orders, or won’t they?

If people are told by those in authority that a face or all-body rash is very scary, they will get very scared. They will forget that many of us had several different kinds of rash (e.g. measles, German measles, and chickenpox) when we were small children and came out of the experience as fit as fiddles, indeed with strengthened immunity.
That would be impossible. If you have blister like rash across your face then that cannot be shingles. If you have a blister like rash across your torso that cannot be shingles. If you have a blister like rash on both arms or both legs then that cannot be shingles.
Shingles can only be on the left side or the right side (ipsilateral), the rash follows single dermatomes and hence cannot be generalised. This is due to where the herpes zoster virus lies latent.

Unless you’re severely immunocompromised, why would you worry? If you are severely immunocompromised there are a lot more things than monkey pox to worry about.

1) Many ‘doctors’ lack basic medical knowledge, e.g. I have had a dr. tell me I could get rubella more than once. (I actually had acute viral myocarditis!)

I have had rubella twice.
Me too, 3 times. Or perhaps one was measles for the second time. Mumps twice too. All the first cases were as a child. The following ones were as an adult 25 years later. I put it down to teenagers being vaccinated and passing it on, I’d already had the wild versions as a child.
Somewhat tongue-in-cheek but you might get a better diagnosis from a nurse practitioner or paramedic practitioner at an urgent care centre in a face to face consultation.

Shingles can appear anywhere, it depends on which nerve root it resides in. On the face it is usually the trigeminal nerve that is affected. It is chicken pox that usually starts on the torso..
And watch out! It’s soon the sunburn season. That should help to nudge things along nicely.
With regard to Shingles, I can remember that no one in the trade seemed to be worried about it with respect to others. I had an attack of it in winter 2012, which was dealt with using Aciclovir, but when that was going on, I went to a social do along with one of the GPs at my local surgery, and she wasn’t worried about it at all.
IIRC, someone who has never had chickenpox, ie a child, can catch chicken pox from someone with shingles blisters…ie the first time you encounter this virus it manifests itself as chicken pox. So basically adults won’t “catch” shingles off anyone, it’s already in you. Children with chickenpox provide a booster exposure to adults, helping to prevent shingles. Allegedly.

Some people are expecting the Monkey Pox scam to play out exactly like COVID (with lockdowns and vaccine mandates for employment and venues. This is a mistake. The enemy has adjusted their strategy. Many will be caught off guard.
Instead of the general lockdowns and mandates we saw during covid, this time they will track and trace extensively; targeting individuals and their contacts with long quarantines and ring vaccination. The psychology used will be formidable and much more difficult to resist. Many who refused to comply in round one will fold.
Ring vaccination means that anyone caught up in their contact tracing will be detained by specially trained teams, isolated and pressured / forced to take the vaccine. In some countries force will be used early on, but even in jurisdictions where one is not legally obligated to comply the pressure that these teams apply will be extreme. The long quarantines will add an additional incentive to give in. When the only way to avoid extended house arrest (and eventually quarantine camps) is to accept the jab, compliance can be achieved without general mandates (though we may see these in some jurisdictions).
This targeting and isolation of individuals is nefarious for a number of reasons. While general mandates and lockdowns tend to evoke widespread outrage, they know people won’t take to the streets en masse if they aren’t personally affected at the moment. They intend to pick you off one at a time starting with the least resistant. This is why they are focused on the gay community in the opening act. The gay community is overwhelmingly left wing. Most of this demographic will accept the vaccine without hesitation as will the majority of those in their social circles. This will allow the enemy to work out the kinks in the system before addressing the trouble makers.
Some of you might be wondering how on earth they will be able to take this clown show to such extremes. After all, Monkey Pox is very mild and only lasts a few weeks. However, the narrative is already being cultivated that there is something unusual about this particular strain. It’s “spreading” faster than previous variants, and some of the symptoms are unusual. Those of you who have been paying attention know that this is a cover for the side effects of COVID-19 vaccination. There are a multitude of auto-immune skin issues showing up that look like pox, and with immune systems decimated, the vaccinated are experiencing a resurgence of latent viruses, with shingles being one of the most common symptoms. Since diagnosis comes down to a fraudulent PCR test, all of this can be attributed to Monkey Pox.
Here’s where it gets nasty. The long term side effects of the initial COVID jabs are just beginning to reveal themselves, and all cause mortality among the vaccinated is already becoming impossible to hide. What this means is that while COVID started as a bad flu and ended as a mild cold, Monkey Pox will made to look like it is evolving into something absolutely horrific. People will get sick and stay sick. Others will die suddenly. The fear this will generate (and the resulting mass psychosis) will make you miss the good old days of COVID.
The food and energy shortages that are kicking off at the same time are an important part of the equation. Not only will rationing give those in power far more more leverage, malnutrition and cold will also weaken the population physically and make them more susceptible to disease. Electricity and internet blackouts will make it much harder to organize resistance and will provide cover for the worst abuses.
For years we have warned people to get out of the cities. Now you know why. This is the final window for that move. There will be no fuel for vehicles soon (and you can only walk so far when you are starving).
This ends in war, but in war timing is everything. Let the cities burn in the distance. Let the enemy expend their ammunition and weaken their armies. Wait for the right moment.

My understanding was that if you are 50+ you will have had a smallpox jab at some time, and so will have protection.

That would change if it was declared a notifiable disease as it would come under the 1984 public health act, as does measles at the moment.
If a child has a diagnosed case of measles then the local authority has the power to exclude that child from school and other activities under the 1984 act. If the child is out in a public space with the rash visible then, with authorisation from a magistrate, the police can take the child home.
This was the gross mistake the government made with CoViD19, if they had just used the 1984 act as written then there could have been no lockdown of healthy people. However, they produced a bastardised version which is what Jonathan Sumption argued against, and the rest, as they say is history.

Monkey pox has been around for decades, if not generations.
Transmission is almost exclusively by contact with fluids from the blisters that form on the skin, or from being bitten by an infected animal, or consuming undercooked bushmeat.
There is no need to ‘isolate’ unless, like any other condition, one feels unwell in which case the normal course of self isolation mankind has practiced for hundreds of years, taking to your bed, is sufficient.
The practice of altering advice on monkey pox isn’t confined to the NHS. The site DermNetNZ, for example, displays similar exaggerated warnings now, compared to 2017.

All I was saying is that the amended guidelines are no different to the previous guidelines in meaning.
If you have a chicken pox rash, a measles rash, a rubella rash or a monkey pox rash or salmonella or other gastroenteritis with active diarrhoea then you should isolate. What is wrong with that?
You are likely to take specific precautions in your own home to prevent the spread to family members.

That is ALL the advice is meaning by asking you to isolate, it’s common sense and good manners. You cannot transmit monkey pox unless you have the rash.
This is the measles advice

Rubella

Diarrhoea and vomiting
“Stay off school or work until you have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least 2 days.”
It’s basic infection control, but in the case of food poisoning or measles it could be enforced under the 1984 legislation as they are notifiable diseases.
If I saw a patient with gastroenteritis then I advised them to not share towels or flannels, to wipe all surfaces in the bathroom after going to the toilet (particularly the door handle outside the bathroom), to close the toilet lid before flushing to ensure faecal matter didn’t contaminate the bathroom, to wash their hands thoroughly etc. etc.
If a child was ill you wouldn’t want them treated on an adult orthopaedic ward as they do not have the knowledge or skills to treat a sick child. If you needed a heart transplant as an adult you wouldn’t go to Alder Hey childrens hospital but Papworth hospital. That is what is meant by “special hospital”.

In Britain many lower middle class and middle class people believe that working class people don’t wash their hands after they piddle or take a cr*p, that they rarely rest their food plates on tables, that they blow their noses onto their sleeves, that they put food straight into their mouths if they’ve dropped it on the floor, etc. – and, generally, that they are natural born vermin. Many pass colds on to their family members without a problem. Trying to ensure you don’t pass a cold on to someone you live with would be ridiculous.
People go into work with a cold, but we’re not talking about a cold but other diseases that have the potential for greater harm. For example, if you had rubella I would hope that you would avoid contact with pregnant women.

The monkeypox virus was first identified in 1958 by Preben von Magnus in Denmark.
He was well informed about biological warfare. He worked at Denmark’s State Serum Institute and directed it from 1959.
His description in official Danish bullsh*t focuses on the heroic way that he successfully encouraged the US government to continue vaccinating children “against polio” even after some of the damage caused by the vaccine became known. Apparently he saw beyond the difficulties of the moment that would have changed the opinion of a lesser man, and he was an unshakeable true believer in the obvious fact of Danish superiority. Sorry but I have encountered this kind of bilge before and it makes me want to spit. He helped Big Pharma, he seems to have had strong connections with the Poo SA, and he was an all-round hero. Can I have my medal now, please. Scientists flocked to his lab to learn from the great man about how to make the polio vaccine. Never mind that sanitation systems improved or anything like that. It was all thanks to Magnus the Magnus. Or at least all the good stuff was. All the bad stuff wasn’t, and in any case the bad stuff didn’t happen.
Oh and he was in Korea during the Korean War, a conflict in which biological warfare attacks were known to have been perpetrated by the USA. What’s up with the use of images of smallpox in monkeypox stories? I noticed that too.
The current official story is that for the past 40 years or so smallpox hasn’t existed anywhere in the world outside of biowar labs. In other words, the line is that all particles of the smallpox virus are currently safely inside the perimeters of biowar labs.
That line may soon change.
Then there’s salmonella. That’s a bacterium. One type causes typhoid. How lucky we are that the food products that are being recalled right now in Britain (by Tesco, Sainsbury, Aldi, Starbucks, Costa, and the Co-op) are said to carry only the non-typhoidal type.
An epidemic of either smallpox or typhoid would have some added cultural oomph that SARSCoV2 doesn’t. The flavour of the campaign would be different from what we’ve experienced since 2020. It would be more along the lines of “London’s burning” and a Possible Mediaeval-Type Apocalypse in the Digital Age. The same is true of bubonic plague.

The wonderful thing about guidance is that it always warrants being ignored.
Some people are expecting the Monkey Pox scam to play out exactly like COVID (with lockdowns and vaccine mandates for employment and venues. This is a mistake. The enemy has adjusted their strategy. Many will be caught off guard.
Instead of the general lockdowns and mandates we saw during covid, this time they will track and trace extensively; targeting individuals and their contacts with long quarantines and ring vaccination. The psychology used will be formidable and much more difficult to resist. Many who refused to comply in round one will fold.
Ring vaccination means that anyone caught up in their contact tracing will be detained by specially trained teams, isolated and pressured / forced to take the vaccine. In some countries force will be used early on, but even in jurisdictions where one is not legally obligated to comply the pressure that these teams apply will be extreme. The long quarantines will add an additional incentive to give in. When the only way to avoid extended house arrest (and eventually quarantine camps) is to accept the jab, compliance can be achieved without general mandates (though we may see these in some jurisdictions).
This targeting and isolation of individuals is nefarious for a number of reasons. While general mandates and lockdowns tend to evoke widespread outrage, they know people won’t take to the streets en masse if they aren’t personally affected at the moment. They intend to pick you off one at a time starting with the least resistant. This is why they are focused on the gay community in the opening act. The gay community is overwhelmingly left wing. Most of this demographic will accept the vaccine without hesitation as will the majority of those in their social circles. This will allow the enemy to work out the kinks in the system before addressing the trouble makers.
Some of you might be wondering how on earth they will be able to take this clown show to such extremes. After all, Monkey Pox is very mild and only lasts a few weeks. However, the narrative is already being cultivated that there is something unusual about this particular strain. It’s “spreading” faster than previous variants, and some of the symptoms are unusual. Those of you who have been paying attention know that this is a cover for the side effects of COVID-19 vaccination. There are a multitude of auto-immune skin issues showing up that look like pox, and with immune systems decimated, the vaccinated are experiencing a resurgence of latent viruses, with shingles being one of the most common symptoms. Since diagnosis comes down to a fraudulent PCR test, all of this can be attributed to Monkey Pox.
Here’s where it gets nasty. The long term side effects of the initial COVID jabs are just beginning to reveal themselves, and all cause mortality among the vaccinated is already becoming impossible to hide. What this means is that while COVID started as a bad flu and ended as a mild cold, Monkey Pox will made to look like it is evolving into something absolutely horrific. People will get sick and stay sick. Others will die suddenly. The fear this will generate (and the resulting mass psychosis) will make you miss the good old days of COVID.
The food and energy shortages that are kicking off at the same time are an important part of the equation. Not only will rationing give those in power far more more leverage, malnutrition and cold will also weaken the population physically and make them more susceptible to disease. Electricity and internet blackouts will make it much harder to organize resistance and will provide cover for the worst abuses.
For years we have warned people to get out of the cities. Now you know why. This is the final window for that move. There will be no fuel for vehicles soon (and you can only walk so far when you are starving).
This ends in war, but in war timing is everything. Let the cities burn in the distance. Let the enemy expend their ammunition and weaken their armies. Wait for the right moment.

I don’t know where you get the impression that people over 50 are immune from. I suspect that you think everyone born prior to 1970 was vaccinated against smallpox as part of their childhood vaccinations.Unfortunately that is not true. Prior to 1948 smallpox was offered under the vaccination legislation at the time, and apparently the uptake in 1939 was less than 40%. When the NHS was formed all vaccination legislation was repealed.
I wasn’t vaccinated against smallpox and I was born in 1956.
Monkeypox is a known virus and has been around for years. There’s never been any necessity to impose isolation before. People just acted sensibly, stayed at home if they felt poorly, and got on with it. I’m sick and tired of the NHS telling us what to do, just because they can’t cope with people being ill.
