Labour’s Justice Secretary Says “Sorry” to PC Harper’s Family After Andy Burnham Leaves Them “Devastated” by Still Allowing His Killers to Be Freed Early Despite “Review”

Labour’s Justice Secretary Alex Norris has called PC Harper’s family to say “sorry” after Andy Burnham left them “devastated” by still allowing his killers to be freed early despite pausing early prisoner releases for a “review”. The Mail has the story.

Labour’s Justice Secretary Alex Norris has called PC Andrew Harper’s family to apologise for the early release of his killers – but refused to reverse the decision due to a “prison capacity crisis”.

Norris told the officer’s mother, Debbie Adlam, that “the prison system would fall completely” unless thousands of inmates were released early.

She said: “There is an element of ‘I understand what you’re going through, and I can see why you feel the way you do’. And he could definitely hear the way I felt. I was getting more angry as we went along because I just felt I had more and more questions.”

The apology came after Andy Burnham gave the green light for thousands of killers, thugs and paedophiles to be freed from jail.

The Prime Minister paused the controversial plans last month following a public outcry over the proposed release of two of PC Andrew Harper’s killers.

PC Harper’s widow, Lissie Harper, said it was a “disgusting betrayal” that his killers could be eligible for early release in early 2027, adding that she was “beyond appalled and bristling with anger to hear that Andrew’s killers are soon to be free to roam the streets“.

Following an urgent review, rapists and the most serious sex offenders will now be excluded from early release.

But Downing Street confirmed on Monday night that the early release of thousands of other serious criminals, including killers and wife-beaters, will go ahead this autumn.

The programme will include the January release of two of the three teenage killers of PC Harper, who was dragged behind a car for more than a mile in 2019.

Adlam said the Justice Secretary called to apologise but told her that “if nothing was done, then the prison system would fall completely”.

But she said today: “We’re paying the price for it. It feels like we’re letting Andrew down again. We’ve been through the justice system. We thought we’d done as best as we could.

“Now we’re standing up to fight again… so I just feel really let down, for Andrew’s sake as well as ours.”

Chief Constable of Thames Valley Police Jason Hogg said: “I am beyond disappointed the Government is continuing to allow PC Andrew Harper’s killers to be released early from prison despite the overwhelming recent public outcry.

“It is simple: if Andrew’s killers were convicted today, they would receive life sentences due to the law that was created in his name. They would not be eligible for early release.

“This decision is demoralising for all police officers and our fellow emergency service workers, not just in the Thames Valley, who put themselves in harm’s way to protect and serve their communities.”

Sorry, my arse.

It seems they’re releasing these criminals so they can make way for the legions of “asylum seeker” violent criminals they’re importing on a daily basis.

Burnham’s short lived ‘bounce’ will hopefully trounce the Labour shysters out of office in the near future. Scummy, cheating lot!

Surely there’s a requirement for some kind of parole element? Or, is it automatic release for anyone in the category regardless of assessed danger.
If there isn’t a parole consideration, why doesn’t the minister introduce one,?

so how many prisons are currently under construction?
How many of those in prison who are foreigners are being deported?
Until Labour get on with those two things we will have more murders, rapes, child abuse etc with nothing being done.

This is outrageous and inexcusable, since a whopping 2400 IPP PRISONERS, some still unjustly imprisoned years after serving their sentences (including one man who has served 14 years for stealing a mobile phone!), should be released IMMEDIATELY, thereby freeing up 2400 PRISON SPACES without endangering the public.

The insane IPP (Imprisonment for Public Protection) Act sponsored by Lord David Blunkett was passed in 2003, then abolished in 2012 after universal outcry, but MPs FAILED to make the abolition RETROACTIVE, condemning thousands of prisoners to captivity far beyond their original sentence, and 2400 are still being held. Reportedly, nearly 100 such prisoners have committed suicide. A breakdown of the ethnicity of the IPP prisoners may reveal that the vast majority are Ethnic Europeans = White People, while Third World Ethnic murderers and rapists, and members of hostile alien cultures such as those who murdered PC Harper, are being set free.

And what about the hundreds of British Patriots imprisoned for protesting against the murder of British Children by the Rwandan Welsh Choirboy, some for crimes like “throwing a bin” and “shouting at a police dog”? What has happened to them, and are they still imprisoned while Hostile Alien Murderers and Rapists… Read more »

Labour has had a big majority for two years. How many additional prisons has it built. None.

The ‘review’ was evidently just a piece of vibeslop to mollify the immediate reaction to the initial announcement of these early releases.
