Holidaymakers are being urged to wear face masks on the beach by local councils in the latest sign the pandemic has become a neverendemic in some people’s eyes. The Telegraph has more.
Local councils are advising people to take extra care when visiting popular coastal resorts, as Covid “has not disappeared”.
Good Friday saw the hottest day of the year after temperatures in London hit 22°C, while temperatures are set to reach 19°C on Sunday.
As thousands are expected to flock to beaches to bask in the good weather, Cornwall Council has asked people to wear a face covering and exercise social distancing while visiting the southern seaside resort.
Citing “high” Covid cases, the council said on Facebook on Friday that visitors should “wash their hands, wear a face covering where you can and keep your distance in crowded places this Easter”.
It also urged anyone who was feeling unwell or had coronavirus symptoms to stay at home.

The celts seem to have been especially prone to the covid zone.
Cornwall Council is an infandous organisation with a bunch of absolute muppets as councillors and officers.
Scotland’s mask rules change tomorrow:

We advise that you must wear a mask – unless you don’t have to (exempt).

You don’t have to wear a mask – but we think you should!!
What utter unmitigated garbage. The ignorance and arrogance of these townhall idiots knows no bounds. From pointlessly cutting down healthy trees, to neglecting high streets, there seems to be nothing they don’t mess up. Overpaid, useless pl*nkers.
Lockdowns next, sort of like the in thing in Shanghai. Genocide. If the vaccines don’t do it we will just starve people to,death.
Hahahahahahahahah How stupid people are. Viruses are airborne. They seep in through the eyes, hair and skin. However they do not survive in warm sunny weather. We now know that the majority of people are very silly indeed
This is just so stupid what next will people wear masks in their house , no joking I saw someone wearing a mask inside their house and will people wear them having sex , I suppose anything goes if you truly believe this is a deadly virus and needs eradicating . Covid is not a deadly virus for majority of people who are not overweight
or very elderly . it will not go away so why wear masks forever to install fear into people we are all dangerous pathogens , and we must not get too close we will kill each other , the human race will die at this rate , virtually by design it has gone down to 1.4 percent with fast food McDonald’s, Burger King , KFC Subway , and bread with sugar , salt also refined carbohydrates and also processed bread and sweets and chocolate , and also encouraging woman to be all career woman and be as competitive as men , feminists have a lot to answer for ,

Masky Mark approves.
Insanity
Don’t become one of them.
Can the councils who have asked for this be written to and asked to supply the evidence on which they base their reccommendatons
Is there a single example of someone being claimed to have been infected out in the open air?
Given the level of drama queenery on display over the last few years I’m pretty confident that could be a substantial number of people. Whole swathes of people with immaculate infections 😉
“Get stuffed!” holidaymakers tell councils.
How much more of this crap are we going to have to endure. I feel like I’m being driven slowly insane!
I’m new here. So glad I found this website. I’ve enjoyed reading your comments. All of this gave me a complete nervous breakdown last year.
I just despair. So glad to find some like minded people!!
Wow! Glad you found it, but I’m not sure I would have got that far if I hadn’t found it in 2020. Hope you can find people you can meet face to face. Try the Stand in the Park or Freedom Network websites or facebook/Telegram groups to see if you can find local groups. They are all over the country so you should be able to find someone.
Do not despair. You are not alone, fed. At least not yet. That’ll happen at the end of the year when they nail you into your house. Until then, enjoy the summer 🤠
Thank you CGL and Vaxtastic it’s good to be here.
I have attended Stand In The Park & the protests in London when I’ve been able to. Fortunately in my real life I think most ppl I know are sick of it now. My elderly aunt who’s been quite scared the whole way through surprised me last week by telling me that actually she felt forced into the jabs & wouldn’t have them if she could go back.
and even the ppl who were very pro lockdown say they won’t do it again. So that’s good. But I still have to keep my eye on what’s going on, forewarned is forearmed & all that. I am making the most of every free moment before the super duper scary variant comes along & you’re fined for daring to breath if you haven’t had your 15 boosters & wont wear your mask in the shower. Sad times we are living through but I do think more ppl are waking up!
my motto is hope for the best but prepare for the worst!
Welcome. My mental health has been severely damaged and the Daily Sceptic has played a role in helping keep me sane. It’s just great knowing you are not alone.
Absolutely! Also organisations like the together declaration have been helpful knowing they’re there & fighting all this. I just can’t believe how ludicrous it all is. The Daily Sceptic is my main news source now, I can see what’s going on without the fear mongering of sky & bbc!
Only some!!!! There are thousands nay millions of us out here.
Thailand, australia hholland Etc.
Welcome you are NOT alone
WTF! Son of a beach!
You will do what you are told, do not complain this isn’t China (yet).
Focussing on a positive, the mask helps to reduce the spread of the vaccinated spike proteins or at least identifies the vaccinated folk to keep well clear of.
Why don’t people wear hard hats while walking in the woods? It could save your life. Would vast numbers of people start doing that, if it became part of the official narrative? I could just as well blame the government or my local council, should I be injured by a falling branch, for not warning me to don PPE while taking a woodland stroll.
Let me get this straight: We are now being asked to wear a PPE device that does not work, to protect yourself from a mild disease that has long since become endemic, in an environment where the disease does not transmit, by scared councils who despite their warning about Covid failed to admonish us to wear flotation aids by the beach in case there’s a tsunami!
Yes, “Covid has not disappeared”, but neither has any of the other diseases in the air that we live with in perpetuity. Are we now being cajoled into wearing masks for all those too? Or is it just a mask for Covid?
Perhaps people like the tan lines.
You are absolutely right, it is time for compulsory crash helmets at all times.
I wear mine to protect my mates…
…
Thank God for face masks! I’ve always hated fresh air.
Presumably, anyone sensible has nothing to do with the Facebook cloaca, and this latest brick in the Crap Cornish Covid Council wall, will go unnoticed. Sad times for Trelawney’s Kernow.

Saw a brilliant performance today. Muzzled woman goes into seafront cafe comes out with coffee’s, still muzzled, sits down, talks to friend for a while, then picks up coffee, tries to drink it with muzzle on, then whips it off, laughing loudly and presumably spreading whatever she was trying to capture while muzzled.
Increasingly finding this beyond farcical and cannot stop myself beaming at these people, yet sensing that my ironic grins are disturbing them. Eyes looking at me with discomfort and loathing. Horrible man is judging and mocking me. Well yes and then some.

Cornwall Council – just bugger off.
Or, using military terminology, Foxtrot Oscar.
Or just (sorry Will) fuck off.
Would be interested to know what compliance with this is
“A public health consultant at Cornwall Council said people are generally being ‘very respectful’ during their visits.”
That’s such a British petty-Hitler remark. For that kind of person, there are “professional people” and there are “members of the public”, and “members of the public” who don’t do exactly what the “professional people” tell them, without question, are dirty, stupid, ill-mannered, disrespectful, and probably not in the habit of washing their hands after they’ve used the toilet.
It’s a deeply colonialist mentality. In Cornwall it’s excerbated by a “fleece the tourist morons” attitude that is rife among the middle and lower-middle classes.
If this weren’t so serious, it would be amusing given that these local council tw*ts and their consultants obviously don’t have the slightest clue what the difference is between Covid and coronavirus, or between an infection and an illness. They can’t think for themselves and they’re scared of other people doing it.
Presumably lots of public sector money has been pocketed off the back of things such as “keeping our hospitality industry safe” – or basically certification scams or protection rackets as they are also known. “Public relations” and “health” “consultants” will also be raking it in. What a… Read more »
“They can’t think for themselves and they’re scared of other people doing it.”
Excellent point. It seems to apply to a lot of people, especially in public services.
I’m beginning to wonder whether I’ve caught the despair virus.
Don’t worry. Pfizer will soon have a vaccine for that too.
Don’t worry. Pfizzer will soon have a vaccine for that too.
Wear a totally useless mask and you are a responsible citizen. Follow the actual scientific evidence and you are accused of wearing an equally useless tin foil hat.
Such is the world when ran by a bureaucratic state. Expect more.
Remember everybody, provided you never step on the cracks in the pavement you’ll be safe from covid (and the bogeyman).
Now why did that never make it into the offiicial goverment advice on ‘keeping everyone safe’?
Only for the inner circle 🤠
I’d heard you were meant to bless yourself while humming the tune from the Magic Roundabout. Where are you getting your information? 🧐
Perhaps different scariants respond to different superstitious rituals?
You’ll catch omicron if you walk under a ladder.
Maybe that’s what all those spads etc were doing at all those No10 parties.
Anybody that does this may as well just write on their muzzle, “I’ve got shit for brains”, because that’s the message they’d be broadcasting loud and clear! LOL
I’m sure some do it for perceived health reasons but most do it to conform to the group.
In that sense it is useful to guage who around you has the courage to think independently. Very few as we now know.
When it ramps up again, and they bring in compulsory vaxxes, those are the people who will burn you at the stake.
The stake won’t be efficient enough. From the Coronavirus Act 2020 (hundreds of pages long, whooooosh, straight into law):
5(1)A designated local authority may give a direction requiring a person to do anything calculated to facilitate the transportation, storage or disposal of dead bodies or other human remains in the local authority’s area or from its area.
(2)The appropriate national authority may give a direction requiring a person to do anything calculated to facilitate the transportation, storage or disposal of dead bodies or other human remains if—
(a)one or more local authorities are designated under paragraph 4, and
(b)the appropriate national authority considers that, in respect of any matter, a regional or national response is appropriate, instead of leaving it to individual local authorities to give directions under sub-paragraph (1).
(3)A direction under this paragraph may, in particular—
(a)require a person to provide services;
(b)require a person to provide facilities, premises, vehicles, equipment or anything else within the person’s possession or under the person’s control;
(c)require a person to exercise any right they have to require others to do things (including things within other paragraphs of this sub-paragraph);
(d)direct whether a dead body or other human remains must be buried by the person or cremated by the person;
(e)make… Read more »
Why wasn’t it repealed?
So much for the restrictions having ended.
We rely on a functional parliament for that.
Very illuminating. We really do live in a bureaucratic nightmare. How did we end up here given how sensible most British are?
It’s called brainwashing by the msm
