Sajid Javid Says the U.K. Is “Nowhere Near” a Return to Full Lockdown Measures

3 min read

Sajid Javid has said that the Government is “nowhere near” bringing back full lockdown restrictions in the U.K., saying that the measures “carry a very heavy price”, such as economic damage and negative mental health outcomes. The Health Secretary also said that “people should continue with their plans as normal for Christmas” despite the emergence of the Omicron variant. The Sun has the story.

Health Secretary Sajid Javid has said “we’re nowhere near” reintroducing working from home or social distancing measures to combat Covid.

He told Sky’s Trevor Phillips on Sunday: “We know now those types of measures do carry a very heavy price, both economically, socially, in terms of non-Covid health outcomes such as impact on mental health.

“So, if one was to make decisions like that they would have to be done very, very carefully and we’re not there yet, we’re nowhere near that.”

He added that people should plan for Christmas as “normal”.

“I think it’s fair to say that the nature of this pandemic is it would be irresponsible to make guarantees,” Javid said.

“As for Christmas, I think people should continue with their plans as normal for Christmas, I think it’s going to be a great Christmas.”

It comes as compulsory mask-wearing is set to return next week in a bid to save Christmas from a super-mutant coronavirus.

Boris Johnson ordered the move after at least two cases of the fast-spreading Omicron variant were found in the U.K.

He also urged people to get booster jabs, saying: “It’s more vital than ever.”

Mask-wearing will again be compulsory in shops and buses, trains and taxis in England from Tuesday.

Overseas travel and self-isolation rules have been tightened after the first two cases of the super-strain were detected in Britain.

Scientists will explore how the booster programme can be extended, including to those as young as 18 years-old.

Omicron, discovered only days ago in southern Africa, has been declared the worst variant yet by one expert, while there are fears it might reduce vaccine protection over time.

The Prime Minister’s measures, outlined at a Downing Street briefing, aim to slow down its spread until scientists know just how dangerous it is.

But Johnson stopped short of imposing a devastating shutdown of pubs and restaurants in the run-up to Christmas.

He insisted that if the public stick to the rules and get their jabs, there will be no need for another last-gasp festive lockdown…

Despite the reassurances, the mere prospect of fresh Covid curbs will send shockwaves through the hospitality industry which saw takings fall by almost 80% in the festive period last year.

Johnson refused to give any guarantees but he is clear that there will be no lockdown like last year, and people were not being asked to work from home.

In a further move, he announced plans to step up the pace of the jabs programme.

Worth reading in full.

Oh dear. If a minister says something like this, it’s a bad omen, and precursor to greater restrictions. Maybe not a full lockdown, but more restrains on or freedom.

Since when do we take medical advice from a politician? Many of the doctors I follow are calling for an immediate halt to these vaccines.
Because of the serious and deadly adverse events caused,

Drs. Peter McCullough, Robert Malone, Pierre Kory, Simone Gold, Zev Zelenko, Kuldorff, Battacharya, Atlas, Sunetra Gupta, Malhotra, Harvey Risch, Tess Lawrie, Cole and hundreds of other doctors are calling for the use of early treatments, protection of the vulnerable and the freedom for all others to get on with their lives. Why aren’t they being asked for their input by this totally incompetent government?

Our healthcare system is about to experience a tsunami! Potential side effects of jabs include chronic inflammation, because the vaccine continuously stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies. Other concerns include the possible integration of plasmid DNA into the body’s host genome, resulting in mutations, problems with DNA replication, triggering of autoimmune responses, and activation of cancer-causing genes. Alternative COVID cures EXIST. Ivermectin is one of them. While Ivermectin is very effective curing COVID symptoms, it has also been shown to eliminate certain cancers. Do not get the poison jab. Get your Ivermectin today while you still can! https://ivmpharmacy.com

Just received a letter from my children’s school saying that face masks are to be worn from tomorrow in all communal areas (not in classrooms… yet). Needless to say, my children will not be wearing them (they could not choose to do so of their own volition and our school actually threatened to segregate them if they did not wear them, so we had to ‘exempt’ them).

Relative of mine lives in France. They have to don a mask as soon as they step over the threshold of their front door. They do this religiously.

One thing we can all do to help is to not wear a mask. Last time, I did wear one, just to be nice and to show respect for the people who were scared. But we are all within our rights not to wear one. The rules are clear, if a mask is distressing for you, you don’t have to wear one, you don’t have to ask permission, and you don’t need to explain yourself. For me, wearing a mask is extremely distressing and I’m not doing it this time. Please do the same, if you can. In some shops it won’t be easy, but please try if you can. We need to show that we aren’t buying this bullshit any more.

Well said. It’s not law, there’s no medical risk assessment, and people have had enough now. If mask wearing worked, if this was a genuine emergency…if the vaccines worked, we wouldn’t be in this situation! But of course we know this isn’t the case. We are being tested to the core now, to see how much we are prepared to put up with. We have to be leaders in this and show others there is nothing to be afraid of. It’s now or never!

What, like conducting a basic cost-benefit analysis, which you lot failed to do the first time round but now ‘belatedly recognise’ as necessary? Just shut your mouth, you pathetic excuse for a human being.

Do these people hear themselves saying this nonsense in their swedes before they write it down? It’s like we are living out a cross between Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four and the film Idiocracy. We have the tyrants and the idiots in bed together, only the tyrants know the idiots are idiots, but the idiots are blissfully unaware that the tyrants are tyrants.

Unfortunately significant numbers will. This being due to many being in either a terrified or hypnotic state.

The mainstream media, particularly the BBC and Sky, has been totally complicit in the brainwashing and horror show of the past two years. They have blood on their hands.

Decided to go to town today and visit some shops without a mask and without an exemption card – pleased to see many people not wearing masks in the shops (some are, most were not) and no one asked me about wearing a mask when I went in or to see my exemption card – not much has changed where I live since yesterdays announcement by the fat controller so, so far so good ..- plan to go out again tomorrow and visit a few more shops without a mask and without an exemption card – I think it will help if everyone everywhere possible went maskless and if possible exemptionless whether you buy something or not to put a stop this sinister move back to normalising mask wearing again.

Just been having a debate with a friend, I commented on the fact that more people are appearing in hospital and dying of Covid after being vaxxed. His reply was that normalised data suggests that unvaxxed are 5 times more likely to die or end up in hospital. I’m not of a statistical bent but common sense would suggest the control group is still big enough to provide an accurate comparison. Is that what Will was referring to in backing the NIMS data? Any thoughts?

I’ve written to my MP asking for the statistics (not modelled outcomes) which show that face nappies reduce spread of this particular virus, and for a copy of the government’s cost-benefit analysis which concludes that the forthcoming nappy mandate is a proprotionate response.

Because of course the government will have all this to hand, naturally…

Mask-wearing will again be compulsory in shops and buses, trains and taxis in England from Tuesday.

There are around 50 studies demonstrating that not only do masks not work, but that they are deleterious to personal health. They raise blood pressure and induce hypertension due to the recycling of carbon dioxide and increase the chances of bacterial pneumonia. There is also the possibility the increase the risk of coronavirus infection because they cause the wearer to bring hands up to the face more often. Furthermore, not once, anywhere, has mask wearing been shown to have reduced overall rates of infection.

You are being forced to wear them as an exercise of totalitarian power politics and for no other reason. Crowd psychology shows 30% of people will become hypnotised by regime propaganda, in this case mask-mandates. 50% are not hypnotised but will go along with it, aware of the absurdity. 20% will question is openly and disobey.

As the UK sinks into totalitarianism, which group are you in?

TPTB will be well aware that masks are dangerous for the wearer and as far as they are concerned, given their depopulation agenda, this is a nice plus, along with confirmation of compliance.

Every single NPI has at heart the aim of eroding the nation’s health.

They intend to kill billions make no mistake.

Beverly Turner and Neil Oliver tried valiantly to make the same very good case on GB News last night – Sadly other panellists are so heavily invested in the MSM fear narrative that I doubt they got any traction. But well done those 2 for trying. The prevailing view of the other panellists was “but if it keeps other people safe I am happy to wear a mask”. Arrgghhhhhhhh

It really does help to reframe this as a war, the Third World War in fact. Not nation against nation but billionaire corporate class against the masses. It’s a biological war and the S1 spike protein is the weapon, a carefully developed biological agent in development for around 20 years, designed to kill slowly in a way that won’t spook the herd before they are corralled into taking it.
Our historic role is to make sure we don’t give in under any circumstances and nor do our children. We’re doing this to protect the species and our civilisation and must rise above the threats to our jobs/incomes/freedoms etc. We have a duty to uphold. It’s time now to make connections with others who see this for what it is and agree to support each other through what will likely be a very ugly period of human history. We should have our own private and encrypted database of contacts, anyone know a good way to do this?

I’m glad it’s not just me. I started to see this as WW3 a few weeks ago and wondered if I had gone mad. It’s also a psychological war, pitting the vaxed against the unvaxed. That will get ugly soon. The usual suspects are behind it, and they are clever. They plan meticulously for decades, and they are very good at it. In previous wars, some people could hide, survive, re-group, and fight back. This time, there’s nowhere to hide. You’re right, we should form groups and get organised, but I don’t know how to do that either.
