Australian rules footballer Liam Jones (pictured) has announced his retirement from the game in preference to getting double-jabbed, after the Australian Football League adopted a ‘No Jab, No Job’ policy. Jones has terminated his contract worth around 500,000 AUD per year. The Mail Australia has more.
The team had been in talks with Jones after he expressed hesitancy about taking the Covid vaccine.
But he refused to change his stance and get vaccinated, despite the AFL’s ‘no-jab, no-play’ policy.
“I wish to announce my retirement from AFL football effective immediately,” Jones said in a statement on Sunday.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank all who have supported me throughout my journey, both personally and professionally.
“I love the game and I’ll miss my teammates.
“I hope that people respect my decision and privacy – neither myself or my management team will be making any further comment on the matter.”
Carlton Head of Football Brad Lloyd gave thanks to Jones for his time with the club.
“We have been in constant dialogue with Liam in recent months and allowing him the time he needed to make an informed decision regarding his playing career,” Lloyd said.
“Liam confirmed with us today that he has made the decision to retire, and his wish for the specific reasons of that decision to be kept private – as a club, we will be respecting that.
“We thank Liam for his seven years of service to the Carlton Football Club, he earned every part of the 161 games he played, which included a complete positional transformation in the middle of his career, that could have only been possible with supreme dedication and hard work.
“We wish Liam all the best for the next phase of his life,” said Lloyd.

He might well be saving his life if we look at the rising number of sports ‘vax-casulaties ‘around the world .
If I were him, I’d sue them for a blatant breach of contract, as should ANY person told they must get a jab, let along one that isn’t fully tested (nowhere near) over many years nor will make their chances (or of any colleagues) any better of surviving COVID by any great degree.
Having puked up regularly over the inherent hypocrisy of the Remembrance weekend, it’s good to see some stuff like this.
Similar RickH… I continue to dry retch at the images in my head.
A touch of the old Anzac spirit? Reckless valour in a good cause…
I have posted the following everywhere I could think of over the last few days and will shamelessly continue to do so.
Remembering those who gave their lives and so much more for our freedoms….! Fuxxing hell. The Cnuts, Boris, and his gang will be stood in front of the Cenotaph, pretending to give a shite, wringing their hands, looking grateful for the freedoms won with the blood guts and lives of my and my friend’s Grandparents. Yet they will stand there the Cnuts having blatantly removed each and every one of those unbelievably and unimaginably hard-won blood and thunder freedoms we took for granted, one by one by one. This is the sickest of sick jokes played on the human race in human history. And it’s being allowed to happen through sheer can’t be assed to do anythingness from far too many of us. We reap what we sow I’m afraid.
The trouble is, the rest of them might, but I don’t fukxing deserve this bollox.

“Hesitant” is such a b.s. description of the situation. “Informed”, “Considered”, “Principled” and “Intelligent” are more on the mark. I hope more notable public figures stick to their guns and stick two fingers up to the authorities. ” Good on yer, Mate! “
Would be nice if vaccinated players stood by their colleagues and threatened to walk too.
They only get away with this shit because of compliance by the majority.
What a bloke. I wish him a great future. Well done sir.
A young man with integrity and principles; the kind Australia USED to breed in their millions.
An important point here is why should a supremely fit young man, who is at less than zero risk from Covid, take a chance on losing his life? Not so long ago a young Irish footballer was killed by the “vaccine”. He was 22. On a Friday afternoon, he went off to get jabbed. Two hours later he was ill in bed. He died on Monday morning.
22 years old and dead for what? The jabs, as Jokeson recently concreted into history, neither prevent you from catching or passing on Covid. So, why, as a fit, healthy young man, was he coerced into losing his life?
Why has nobody as yet taken this to Court? What Court in the world could possibly fail to see the injustice, both legally and morally, of coercing a person into taking a medical intervention? The Nuremberg Convention expressly forbids this. In British Law, it is also expressly forbidden.

All Australian footy fans have been brought up to loathe the Victorian-based Carlton Football Club because they are a wealthy institution with an irritating habit of winning (although they have been in wooden spoon territory for a few years now) but I have to make an exception for their veteran full-back, Liam Jones. A good man with a functioning brain.
Contracted through to the end of the 2022 season, his decision, forced on him by Dan Andrews’ vicious No Jab No Job mandate in Victoria, and the cowardly Australian Football League bosses’ decision to make playing footy Australia-wide contingent on getting the jab, will cost Jones up to $500,000 – which sounds a lot but, as it represents just six years or so of wages for a mid-level public servant, and as most elite footballers are done and dusted by their early thirties at the very latest, this isn’t all that much in terms of rest-of-life financial security.
Jones has shown real commitment but at least he can look upon his decision as an escape from a possible death sentence or debilitating ill-health.
Jones’ concerns about the vaxx are well-placed. Steve Kirsch (https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/over-a-60x-increase-in-serious-adverse) reports that there has been a 60 times increase… Read more »

Seen this? Suspected contacts carriers cases can be rounded up and detained.
It requires extra vigilance in that we have a separate set of protocols for non-vaccinated players, so they’re already treated differently in terms of what’s allowed,” says David Weiss, the NBA executive who oversees player health. “The difference this year is that unvaccinated people are at even greater risk because of the Delta variant.

This is your day
This will be me on 1st April.
A Consultant in a large NHS Trust with essentially my whole adult life in medicine. I was the person in charge of reviewing all of the covid data to make the policies for my department. I guess that’s why I so rapidly became a sceptic.
I will not have this jab.
I have had natural infection and have documented antibodies. I am not a risk to anybody.
I am worrying about the future but I saw that my future wouldn’t be in the National Covid Service and have been putting most of my wages aside. I paid off my mortgage during lockdown and I think I can manage for nearly 5 years depending on inflation…
It’s a huge loss though.
This narrative concerns me, many make this claim, it’s as if they are justifying vax-passes just not for them. What if you are just naturally immune because you have a strong immune system.
It’s not about whether you’re a risk to others it’s about you’re right to decide what you put in your body, it shouldn’t make any difference if others agree or not. The government have no right to sanction people on their health status.
If I could, I’d get out of this country, somewhere where there’s plenty of nature & space.
Absolutely. I 100% respect the rights of all people to choose their own healthcare / drugs / anything.
I don’t think anybody should have to have a mandated jab.
My point in mentioning my prior infection and antibodies is that infection risk is the given reason for this ridiculous mandate. I am not an infection risk, but this doesn’t count.
Absolute respect!
Salute you Sir / Madam.
Bloody hell that’s brave.
Not that brave…
Brave would be having a injection I don’t need, risking sudden death. <bad joke>
To be fair, my parents may never forgive me. I’m pretty open about my lack of vaccine but I don’t think anyone would expect me to walk away from a 20 year medical career.
If they bring back mask mandates, I’m getting one with unvaxxed written on it. Not that I’ve ever worn one, but I’d wear it just to make the point.
Being forced out is not walking away. You are a man of principle and will get a good job in your field, perhaps in another country. See this as an opportunity if you can.
Brave? ……..to a point. But any version of the NHS Defined Benefit Scheme is one hell of a moderator in any such decision (and I do not infer blame or such like on your decision Sir or Madam – any sane, sentient person would make the same choice).
I’ll second that!
Given the speed that this is unravelling, 1st April is light years away. It’s a date, not a deadline.
Just another example of coercion in a giant game of ‘chicken’. There will be fudges, foozles and opt-outs to allow the NHS to remain staffed on 2nd April and beyond.
If there was any logic behind this, ie that you pose a danger to patients in your unvaxxed state, why would they keep you in the hospital during their most vulnerable season? Classic doublethink by the gov’t.
There will be fudges, foozles and opt-outs
The Weekend Australian announced with pride on Saturday that 90% of Australians have had at least one jab. Colour me skeptical.
TPTB can see the house of cards beginning to tremble. They want to get out, but with their dignity intact.
Indeed, hold the line Doc, make them sack you, make them give you grounds to sue, you’re worth more to us still fighting the bastards, don’t make it easy for them. The same goes for everyone fight back.
Good for you.
“I am not a risk to anybody.”
But, of course, in the great scheme of things, risks in general, anyway, have been wildly exaggerated.
Dr Y,
You could always try this approach:
(Conditional acceptance) The secret is NOT to refuse it. “I write with regard to the matter of potential covid vaccine and my desire to be fully informed and appraised of ALL facts before going ahead. I’d be most grateful if you could please provide the following information, in accordance with statutory legal requirements.”:
1. Can you please advise the approved legal status of any vaccine and if it is experimental?
2. Can you please provide details and assurances that the vaccine has been fully, independently, and rigorously tested against control groups and the subsequent outcomes of those tests?
3. Can you please advise the entire list of contents of the vaccine I am to receive and if any are toxic to the body?
4. Can you please fully advise of all the adverse reactions associated with this vaccine since its an introduction?
5. Can you please confirm that the vaccine you are advocating is NOT experimental mRNA gene-altering therapy?
6. Can you please confirm that I will not be under any duress from you as my employers, in compliance with the Nuremberg Code?
7. Can you please advise me of the likely… Read more »
Balls the size of, well, footballs. Good on him.
Fair play to the guy. Respect.
“And it’s perfectly normal in a free society for a man in his twenties to get sacked from his job if he refuses an experimental gene therapy that has already murdered hundreds of athletes around the world.” Lloyd added.
Our healthcare system is about to experience a tsunami! Potential side effects of jabs include chronic inflammation, because the vaccine continuously stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies. Other concerns include the possible integration of plasmid DNA into the body’s host genome, resulting in mutations, problems with DNA replication, triggering of autoimmune responses, and activation of cancer-causing genes. Alternative COVID cures EXIST. Ivermectin is one of them. While Ivermectin is very effective curing COVID symptoms, it has also been shown to eliminate certain cancers. Do not get the poison jab. Get your Ivermectin today while you still can! https://ivmpharmacy.com
In connection with the taxi fire outside the hospital in Liverpool, which killed at least one person, three men have now been arrested under the Terrorism Act. To judge from photos, it does not seem that any explosives were used, so this does not seem to have been a car bomb. The fatality may well have been of a person who was inside the taxi.
If the war between Daesh and the US and its satellites were what we are told it is, there would have been many terror attacks in Europe since last March (hit the enemy when it’s weak, and at its weakest points) which there haven’t been.

Government-approved Covid testing firm faces watchdog probe over plans to sell swabs with customers’ DNA for medical research
There you are, I said this back in 2020! Check how many shares the cabinet has in genome sequencing companies. Mass testing = mass DNA data collection.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they have been taking DNA from babies as soon as they are born for the past 30 years or more.
Notice how quickly the fuzz find serious crime suspects now (of course that’s not a bad thing) but how? DNA databases, mobile phone surveillance! There’s a lot they’re not telling us.
Occasionally we see back-stage.
Considering the amount of sportspeople dropping dead with heart attacks, I’d say it was a sensible choice not to get jabbed.
Good example – the flyweight boxer who went down after a double jab 🙂

Just watched the Tesco Christmas video: spend like there’s no tomorrow, and don’t worry because Father Christmas has been vaccinated – he’s shown his papers – and therefore he won’t be locked up…
Meanwhile in supermarkets in Latvia from tomorrow, it’s prove you’re vaccinated at the door (using QR code or paper document) or else you can’t come in. How long do we reckon it will be until the same policy comes to Britain? Two weeks?
After the upcoming by elections, that would be my bet. ‘Infections are remaining stubbornly high, we must do something to preserve Christmas and New Year Celebrations’

“allowing him the time he needed to make an informed decision regarding his playing career”
But absolutely under no circumstances an “informed decision” about what goes into his body. These people need to hang.
That’s just an excuse. I would have thought that he had plenty of time to make an informed decision. Good for him.
If Australia and New Zealand come out of lockdown the disease will rip through them all, vaccinated and unvaccinated alike. At the end of the day their levels of fatalities will be like most others who have locked down and released, as the complacent French, Germans, Danes and Austrians who were held up to us as shining examples of obedience to their leaders’ instructions.
I have a theory about Australia’s low covid,……………..
Humidity.
In the sage words of the great Neil Oliver.. This is not about what they say it’s about.
Why keep his reasons private? He should excoriate this coercive and necessary mandate. He’s now a free man. He can say what he really thinks. I wish more athletes would use these big platforms they have.
EDIT: Should be: “coercive and unnecessary mandate.”
No ‘should’ – one of the major aspects of this is the right not to reveal personal medical information.
