News Round-Up

  • “Vaccine passports could be mandatory at indoor and outdoor venues under revived scheme” – Nightclubs, concert halls and sporting events may be on expanded lists of places where only those double vaccinated will be allowed to enter, reports the Telegraph.
  • “Britons travelling to ‘Red List’ countries at less risk of Covid than those staying in U.K.” – For the first time, the infection rate of people in hotel quarantine after returning from ‘Red List’ countries has fallen below that in the U.K., reports the Telegraph.
  • “Inadvertant [sic] intravenous injections” – Dr. John Campbell urges that health authorities change the way they administer Covid vaccines, saying that intravenous injection of the vaccine could induce acute myopericarditis in mouse models.
  • “What really happened in Wuhan?” – In this new documentary, Sky News host Sharri Markson reveals exclusive interviews and information that uncovers the onset of the pandemic.
  • “Petrol panic is a gift to the woke work from home hardliners” – The danger of flexible working is that it may gradually erode away productivity until the very concept of work itself is under attack, writes Ben Marlow in the Telegraph.
  • “Military on standby as panic buying hits fuel supplies” – The Government says it is putting the military on standby as part of further measures to address a supply chain crisis which has led fuel pumps to run dry amid panic-buying by motorists, reports Reuters.
  • “Don’t panic! Toilet paper, petrol, and politics” – “If a population lets its appetite and impulses hijack its common sense, it is bound to be controlled by its own biological urges and prey to a power-hungry dictatorial political elite,” writes Luke Perry in Bournbrook Magazine.
  • “Saturday’s vaccine protest – what the MSM won’t tell you” – “People I spoke to, holding aloft messages saying ‘No to Vaccine Passports’ and ‘Healthy children don’t need a Covid vaccine’, were particularly concerned by the way the Government were choosing to overrule parental authority and inject teenagers regardless of the consequences,” writes Richard Ings in TCW Defending Freedom.
  • “How rational is Steven Pinker’s world?” – The psychologist is fighting an increasingly lonely battle against fanaticism, writes Razib Khan in UnHerd.
  • “Biden gets his Pfizer Covid booster shot live on camera” – President Biden took this opporunity to (once again) criticise “that distinct minority [that] is causing an awful lot of damage for the rest of the country”. “This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
  • “National Guard could be called upon in New York to make up for shortage of vaccinated healthcare workers” – New York could be relying on National Guard personnel in its rush to replace healthcare workers who don’t comply with the state’s Covid vaccine mandate, as the Governor says those not getting inoculated aren’t listening to God.
  • “Scientists take a jab at Sussexes’ attack on pharmaceuticals not sharing vaccine recipes” – The Duke and Duchess were wrong to say that making ingredients freely available to everyone will solve global vaccine inequity, claim experts.
  • “Sussexes love to preach one thing and do the opposite” – Harry and Meghan have just finished a four-day trip to New York, and spoke at Global Citizen concert. Even by their two-faced standards, it set a new low bar for hypocrisy, writes the pair’s fond admirer, Piers Morgan, in MailOnline.
  • “Gina Miller to launch new political party” – The anti-Brexit campaigner hopes her new “True and Fair” party will help to hold the Government to account.
  • “What The Lancet gets wrong about women” – Why has the science journal waded into the gender ideology debate, asks Debbie Hayton in UnHerd.
  • “Women are not just ‘bodies with vaginas’” – Trans-inclusive language is dehumanising women, writes Jo Bartosch in Spiked.
  • “Political leaders denying basic biology to appease trans activists are leading our children into a fantasy world” – Sir Keir Starmer’s assertion that it is wrong to say only women have a cervix is dangerous, particularly so in the message it sends to children. By ignoring biology, he is encouraging identity crises among young people, writes Frank Furedi in Russia Today.
  • “‘People have lost their freedoms by stealth’” – Sky News Australia’s Peta Credlin tells talkRADIO that people are “angry” the police reacted violently to peaceful protests against lockdown. “We had ‘Black Lives Matter’ protests last year and there was no action by police. People have lost their freedoms by stealth.”
