Meanwhile in Texas…

by Will Jones
5 April 2021 11:04 PM

While go-slow BoJo talks about keeping masks and social distancing in place for another year (at least) and bringing in vaccine passports for large events (just for starters), this was the scene in Texas today, tweeted by Sam Gannon, a sports reporter for KDFW Fox 4. A packed stadium for a baseball game, no vaccine passport required, not a mask in sight.

So this is what a packed ballpark feels like?! Almost forgot. What a sight! pic.twitter.com/L4nz2lc7fi

— Sam Gannon (@SamGannon87) April 5, 2021

Texas ended all restrictions and mask requirements at the beginning of March and since then has seen positive cases drop to their lowest level since last summer.

Doubtless Covid is still around and they will see it return at some point to a greater or lesser extent. But Texans no longer live in fear of it or allow their lives to be governed by often fruitless efforts to avoid it. Texas, like a number of other states, has decided that the risk as a society is manageable, and as individuals they have decided it is a risk worth taking to be free and live their lives. The land of the free and the home of the brave indeed.

How long will countries like the UK be able to keep up the draconian emergency measures when their people see Americans back to living normal lives and no medical catastrophe unfolding? When will we have a report from SAGE on the experience of states in America like Texas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Mississippi that have lifted restrictions? When will the Government’s modellers show us how accurately their models predicted the outcomes in those states?

How long until our Government ministers and MPs start questioning the self-serving advice they’re getting from scientific advisers up to their necks in lockdownism and start standing up for freedom?

Answer :

With a propagandized media, and widespread brainwashing – you’ll be surprised.

I just looked saw a Tweet posted by @JuliaHB1
“I will not be wearing that stupid piece of cloth over my face for one more minute after 21 June, whatever nonsense Boris & SAGE come up with even after most of the population is vaccinated against Covid. It’s time to end the madness and return to normal life. Please join me.”
Looking at some of the replies, it could be a long haul!
I don’t know why I do it to myself. It keeps reminding me what we’re surrounded by and I just start the head banging rhythmically against the wall thing all over again.

Presumably the BBC and others would like to censor public events such as these just as during the Cold War Communist Eastern Europe tried to censor the good life to be had in the West from its own downtrodden and miserable Citizens.

Even in the early days Latvians could furtively watch Finnish TV while all along the Iron Curtain others could view westerners with their fridges and cars wondering why they could only buy pairs of left footed galoshes.

Presumably if the BBC or others do report it they will use it as an excuse to say how irresponsible places like Texas are being and find some hopeless “expert” such as Christina Pagel or Devi Sridhar to say how it’s bound to lead to a surge in cases, then a few weeks later fail to report that the surge never happened.

Oh yes, everything ‘bad’ that they predict will always take place in two weeks time by when they invent something else to worry us with. This has been the pattern throughout the ‘pandemic’.

Intriging list. A combination of weasel words, brainwashing slogans, an irrelevant country and a SAGE idiot. What’s your point?

It’s the buzzwords used to argue for lockdowns.

Wah! Drumpf, orange man bad, irresponsible, wibble wibble, hide under the bed and trust in nice Uncle Xho.

Writing from South Carolina, where we have virtually no “pandemic rules” and the state government just made “vaccine passports” illegal… life can be nice! I am so very sorry for you, my UK cousins. My heart breaks at the constant cycle of disappointment the citizens of the UK are suffering. Please stay strong and help each other.

The whole 1775-1781 thing was regrettable, but it did give us “federalism” over here, whereby for every Michigan and California, we have a Florida and a Texas.

You’re right that the UK has massive constitutional (mainly lack of) problems which this shit-show has highlighted as never before. A lot of cherished delusions have gone up in smoke – not least that ‘Britons never, never, never shall be slaves’ 🙂

I wonder how long your states will be allowed to continue like this, before your governors mysteriously die, or they have a sudden unexplained turnaround back to lockdown fanaticism.

If you could ditch the IRS (and its codes), and a load of alphabet-soup agencies, you’d be almost in Heaven on Earth. The 1775-1781 was sadly necessary, or else Justin would be your Federal Prime Minister right now.

I went to a baseball game once, for the experience. I’m not a fan, but the excitement, the good humour, the enjoyment and high spirits, were something I’ll never forget. It’s a joy to know that it still exists.
Go it, Texas!

“self serving advisers” is a joke.

They are all serving someone but its not themselves.

They serve a cabal promoting the gradual decline in population via acts such as UN Agenda 21

Dear god, the bedwetters in that Twitter thread are still using the same tropes from a year ago.

Once again the cry of ‘Stop listening to the SAGE advisors’ goes up. You really don’t get it. This is all the government’s doing; SAGE is their cover.

Was under the impression that masks were mandated but were abandoned as the game went on. Otherwise encouraging to see that Texas is looking to get things moving.

It is interesting I have read a few recent CNN digs at Gov DeSantis, Florida. He is being accused of accepting PAC donations and awarding vaccine contracts to those PAC donators. Looks like he will pay for ignoring Fauci and seeking advice from world renowned scientists and implementing that advice. I have family in Florida. They are living their lives freely. Many have taken the vaccine, their choice. Many still wear masks, their choice. Kids have been back in school since Sep 2020. Watch for the federal government’s attempts to undermine and smear those governors who refuse to accept Fauci’s advice.

Meanwhile their audience numbers and advertising revenue continue to decline, whilst all the MSM are tarred with the same brush for selective reporting.

That was interesting, although I use their email I haven’t checked Yahoo mail for many many years having concluded early that they were wokier than Google.
Is this a one off or have they changed policy ?
I’ll go and have a look.

Living over here (25 + years now) I have not been to a baseball game for years. I have watched this 10second video over and over and over, just to feel normal. I could taste the brats, beer and nachos and hear the crack of the bat and the ball hitting the catcher’s leather glove. What a marvellous opportunity. God bless the Texas Governor and all the other sensible Governors like Rick DeSantis etc. As the umpire shouts at the beginning of each game when the teams are warmed up and ready….’Play Ball!’
