This is the 23rd of the round-ups of Covid vaccine safety reports and news compiled by a group of medical doctors who are monitoring developments but prefer to remain anonymous in the current climate (find the 22nd one here). By no means is this part of an effort to generate alarm about the vaccines or dissuade anyone from getting inoculated. It should be read in conjunction with the Daily Sceptic‘s other posts on vaccines, which include both encouraging and not so encouraging developments. At the Daily Sceptic we report all the news about the vaccines whether positive or negative and give no one advice about whether they should or should not take them. Unlike with lockdowns, we are neither pro-vaccine nor anti-vaccine; we see our job as reporting the facts, not advocating for or against a particular policy. The vaccine technology is novel and the vaccines have not yet fully completed their trials, which is why they’re in use under temporary and not full market authorisation. This was done on account of the emergency situation and the trial data was largely encouraging on both efficacy and safety. - Pfizer’s six-month trial data suggests its Covid vaccine is causing more illness than it prevents, according to analysis by a group of Canadian medics.
- The European Medicines Agency has listed a rare spinal condition as a side effect of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine.
- A study shows a rise in PEG antibodies following mRNA vaccination was associated with higher reactogenicity and PEG interactions.
- A collection of reports from 2021 finds 449 athletes who have had cardiac arrests following the Covid vaccine with 263 deaths. Reports of heart attack deaths amongst professional footballers are significantly up in 2021 compared with previous years.
- A first case of myocarditis after Covid vaccine has been reported in Morocco.
- Vaccination manufacturer Valneva is planning to launch its Covid vaccine in Scotland.
- The JCVI has made the Pfizer Covid vaccine available for 5-11 year olds who are considered high risk or have an immunosuppressed household member.
- VAERS – the American version of the Yellow Card reporting system – released new data on January 13th bringing the total to 1,033,994 reports of adverse events following Covid vaccines, including 21,745 deaths and 170,446 serious injuries.
- DAEN Australia – the equivalent of the Yellow Card reporting system – has logged (up to January 4th) 99,911 reports of adverse events, including 734 deaths.
- Children (Under 18) Adverse Events UK – up to January 5th, the MHRA reports a total of 2,746 adverse event reports, comprising 2,471 Pfizer, 248 AstraZeneca, 16 Moderna and 11 unspecified from 3,033,100 children vaccinated. This includes 49 reported cases with Pfizer and one with Moderna of myocarditis/pericarditis, suggesting a current risk of 12 cases per million doses for this age group.
- Booster Doses – up to 38,050 adverse events have been reported across all vaccines up to January 5th, suggesting a reporting rate of one adverse event per 1,000 doses.
Summary of Adverse Events in the U.K.
According to an updated report, the MHRA Yellow Card reporting system has recorded a total of 1,414,293 events based on 431,482 reports. The total number of fatalities reported is 1,932.
- Pfizer (25.3 million first doses, 21.9 million second doses) now has one Yellow Card in 162 people vaccinated. Deaths: 1 in 36,988 people vaccinated (684).
- AstraZeneca (24.9 million first doses, 24.1 million second doses) has one Yellow Card in 103 people vaccinated. Deaths: 1 in 21,066 people vaccinated (1,182).
- Moderna (1.6 million first doses, 1.4 million second doses) has one Yellow Card in 50 people vaccinated. Deaths: 1 in 55,172 people vaccinated (29).
Overall, one in every 120 people vaccinated (0.83%) have experienced a Yellow Card adverse event. The MHRA has previously estimated that the Yellow Card reporting rate may be approximately 10% of actual figures. Note that sometimes in Yellow Card reporting, the numbers of adverse events (including fatalities) will be lower than the previous week. The Yellow Card system is a passive reporting system, so in theory this should not happen as all reports should be cumulative. However, the MHRA say they analyse the data prior to publication, with deaths and pregnancy conditions being notably investigated. They do not state criteria by which reports would be removed and to date have not clarified why this data varies. It is therefore unclear how many reported adverse events have been removed from the reports since reporting began in February 2021.

I’m not sure what is more horrifying, the1,932 deaths or the casualness with which they will be dismissed as an unfortunate price that needed to be paid to save more lives (without any proof to back the assertion).
Sadly, I don’t believe those death figures, I’d say that 1,932 is just the tip of an iceberg.
The Yellow Card Scheme has been lax right from the start, and getting information from the likes of the MHRA and the ONS has been torturous to say the least.. just ask UK column. Obfuscation is the name of the game.
The EudraVigilance stats below have a degree more reality about them, and even then its estimated that they only represent between 1-10% of the true figure..
Most people just add up the deaths from the reactions by querying the EudraVigilance database. This provides an incorrect death total as the EMA say here:
I initially downloaded the database in Excel format and got a much lower figure. This process became unmanageable, so I resorted to joining in with everyone else. However, I have since found a way to approximate the actual deaths by using their monthly ‘Safety Updates’ which I only found recently here:
At the moment there are, on average, nearly 3 reactions per death. Surprisingly, this varies enormously between vaccines: 2 for Pfizer and 10 for Moderna. Anyway, that aside, I factor down each death tally according to vaccine. The current total deaths counted from the reactions is 37,935, but this factors down to 12,966.
I go a bit further and add in the vaccination figures from OWID, then determine some sort of risk percentage. I find an average risk per dose, then multiply this by the average number of doses per person to get a net death risk per person that is currently 1 in 27,537. This compares well with the Yellow Card reports for which I currently have 1 in 26,864. (I note that this is about 3x the latest covid-19 IFR for under 20s from Professor John Ioannidis)
The Yellow Card report process produces woefully little data to analyse – but at least someone can easily total the deaths. The EudraVigilance database may be all singing and dancing, but falls flat on its face if the deaths cannot be totalled.
Interesting in that it aligns the EU figures with the UK.

Trouble is, they say rare – but actually, the reality is that they are ordinarily rare. But, they use that rare (as in, actually rare), when describing adverse events.
These (formerly/usually rare) conditions … being reported as adverse reactions, cease then to be rare. However, they try and hoodwink people when describing the adverse-event conditions as ‘rare’.

What a tragic story, made even more tragic by this poor athlete’s cognitive dissonance. Unless you had shares in Pfizer, it is difficult to see anything to be ‘pleased’ about in this story. An incredibly healthy young woman’s career has been ruined, for no good reason. How, precisely, does getting pericarditis help to ‘take pressure’ off the health system anyway?
This sounds like a comment from someone who doesn’t want to be dropped from a team for being off-message, and/or requires team funding during her rehabilitative comeback.

This looks like an excellent summary of studies and reports on vaccine efficacy, including possible “adverse events.” The Daily Sceptic should be commended for presenting information pro and con about vaccines. This site probably has the largest global audience of any website that routinely publishes data that is does NOT carte blanche accept the conclusion that vaccines are “safe and effective.”
If perchance, the vaccines are NOT ‘safe and effective” people need to also be exposed to such information. This would allow for “informed” consent. It seems to be the editorial policies of corporate news organizations to present only information that reaches one conclusion.
I’d also be more inclined to give greater weight to the physicians and scientists who are questioning the claims of vaccine proponents … Because the people doing this are putting their careers at risk by going against conventional wisdom. It would be much easier and safer for these individuals to remain silent or agree with the “authorized” consensus. That these people are raising questions or warnings in the face of professional harm causes me to listen more closely to such people.
I’d also note that the more “skeptics” have been proven right that early pronouncements of the experts were wrong, the more I’d think they might be right now too.

Yes the recent growth rate of +ves per 100,000 in the vaccinated is quite staggering as this chart shows. The solid lines represent +ve test rates in the vaccinated (any dose) and the dotted lines +ve test rates in the unvaccinated.
And the rapid fall in efficacy against testing positive in the older age groups towards very large negative efficacy is seen by the steep drop in the red lines

So if your healthy 5yr old is sharing air with an immunocompromised individual, jab them. Why? There is no science in it but is there any logic at all? My only right way of thinking about is that it’s simply because the immunocompromised individual is so unaware of the fact these vaccines are non sterilising, that they better roll the dice and allow the 5yr old to join the club. Just to keep up the pretence for the benefit of the adults.

Raab has proven to be a huge disappointment and he is certainly not PM material as much as he aspires to being it.

I’ve just heard from my niece in Portugal, one of her kids has tested positive and they are all now outside the hospital waiting to be tested – this has happened so often now its become a joke. The parents are losing out on work and the kids are missing education!

We have been led by academics, from both science and politics. If we’d had “Joe Public”, with 5 GCSEs and a significant portion of lifeskills running the show, we would have seen advice like:

A vaccine idea would have been laughed out of the pub (cabinet office) as pointless, after all, we don’t have a great vaccine for flu.

This has been known since time immemorial. In a book my father was given whilst serving in India (late 40s), there’s a section from a book of fables called the Panchatantra. There’s a lovely story of four brahmin friends, three of whom are educated and supposedly clever. Having found the skeleton of a lion these three hit on an idea of recreating it, to impress the king and make money. The fourth brahmin warns against this and wisely climbs a tree and escapes the inevitable. The moral is ‘Scholarship is less than sense; Therefore seek intelligence’.These fables are at least 2000 years old.
I recommend everyone to read Real Anthony Fauci by Bobby Kennedy Jr. On chapther 3 he explains how Ivermectin could have saved 80 percent of deaths Worldwide. This book have opened my eyes. I now know that, 90% of all medicine is not for anything else than profit for them. Low profit and effective medicines are bashed and marketed as ineffective because they go against their narrative and profit plans. One of them is wonder drug Ivermectin. Kennedy’s book is totally convincing and totally devastating.
The explanation of the deliberate suppression of ivermectin alone – a known safe and successful treatment for early Covid – makes those responsible subject to a charge of culpable homicide.
Yes; but you can’t have emergency authorisation for a new vax if there’s a credible alternative, hence the monstering of ivermectin and HCQ.
It would be interesting, and potentially comforting, to know whether these adverse effects wear off over the months following vaccination, or whether the chances of an adverse reaction at all become less. I suppose one must allow for them getting worse, but one hopes not.

111 Telephone call to an out of hours Dr in Chichester, UK (20 hours ago) – When diagnosing this woman with an adverse reaction over the telephone, The Dr advises against taking any more and explains that she believes they are about to get pulled – due to new data on safety
“…There wasn’t enough information,” the doctor is heard telling the woman.
“And it’s a lot more coming up especially for the young people whose immunity is intact, apparently that’s enough,” the doctor says. “OK? Any questions?”
The woman sought clarification, asking, “So just to make sure, so you think I shouldn’t have any more vaccines then?”
“If you ask me this would be my advice but, yes,” the medical professional advises.
“OK,” the patient responds, “and is that just because you don’t think anyone should have that vaccine at a young age, or is that because medically I can’t have it because of my head?”
The doctor replies, “Because it’s very much as I said to you, there is a lot of information coming up now which was not available earlier and very soon all of the vaccines will be completely stopped.”
“This is information that is just really come up. You won’t hear it on TV for a while probably because…[sigh] it’s a long story, but um yea, so it’s very soon they will stop all of these vaccines, people don’t know… but yeah…”
After the woman is informed of several side effects to look out for (sweats, fever, pain, lumps, swelling, pain in leg), the doctor is next asked if the woman’s sister should proceed with getting a booster shot.
“Sorry, could I just ask you? So my sister’s actually due to go and get her booster tomorrow, she’s only 22. So should I tell her…?”
“No… please no,” the doctor begs, adding, “Absolutely not. Does not need it. Please no.”
The hedge funds have finally realized there will be no fourth shot. And that mRNA technology, erm, still has a few issues to work out. (1 billion people aren’t gonna love hearing that, but too late now. Mistakes were made, stuff happens, amirite?)
Moderna and BioNTech are down 8-10% today, 60% since August. Oh, how I wish I could have shorted them.

Overall, one in every 120 people vaccinated (0.83%) have experienced a Yellow Card adverse event. The MHRA has previously estimated that the Yellow Card reporting rate may be approximately 10% of actual figures. Note that sometimes in Yellow Card reporting, the numbers of adverse events (including fatalities) will be lower than the previous week. The Yellow Card system is a passive reporting system, so in theory this should not happen as all reports should be cumulative. However, the MHRA say they analyse the data prior to publication, with deaths and pregnancy conditions being notably investigated. They do not state criteria by which reports would be removed and to date have not clarified why this data varies. The VAERS report out of 250 million people 21,500 deaths – around 1 in 12,000.
Europes’ EMA say from 330 million there could be 30,000 related deaths – about 1 in 11,000.

Despite trying hard to persuade her not to, my youngest daughter (29 yrs) became triple jabbed, boosted end October on medical advice. She has had Crohns since age 17. In October she had 30cm of inflamed and scarred colon removed. Until Xmas all was well. Then she has had a “cold” ever since, now has a urinary tract infection (UTI) of unknown origin, has lost her appetite, lost 3kg in weight in the last month and and is going to the toilet with diarohea up to 12 times a day. (To be fair, some of this is Crohns like in symptom.)
My question is (and I’m not sure the medics looking after her will entertain this direction of thinking) is it possible her immune system will be so shot to pieces by the three jabs, that she will now be prone to a bad reaction to all sorts of bacterial and viral attacks on her system?

At the moment there is a lot of speculation on the impact of these “vaccines” on recipients, but no real research has yet been done, as they are all still experimental. Your daughter’s symptoms could be due to a number of causes.
