Since October, New York City has required all public sector workers, such as teachers, police officers, and civil servants, to be vaccinated against Covid, and has recently announced that the mandate will soon extend to all private sector employees. The policy will come into force on December 27th, with Mayor Bill de Blasio calling it a “pre-emptive strike” against a potential winter surge in Covid cases. Metro has the story.
The aggressive, first-of-its-kind measure, is what de Blasio is calling a “pre-emptive strike” to combat the expected surge in Covid cases this winter, as the Delta and Omicron variants create growing cause for concern.
“We in New York City have decided to use a pre-emptive strike, to really do something bold to stop the further growth of Covid and the dangers it’s causing to all of us,” the soon-to-be departing mayor said Monday morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show.
Vaccination requirement for hospital and nursing home staff as well as city employees, including teachers, police officers and firefighters has been in place since October.
“Omicron is here, and it looks like it’s very transmissible. The timing is horrible with the winter months,” de Blasio said.
“So as of today, we’re going to announce a first-in-the-nation measure. Our health commissioner will announce a vaccine mandate for private sector employers across the board.”
The mayor is expected to provide additional details to the new policy at a 10am briefing.
The policy will take effect on December 27th.
The city’s Health Commissioner Dave Chokshi said Monday children were the group most affected currently by breakthrough Covid cases, emphasizing the need to expand protections for vulnerable youth.
The mayor is also broadening the city’s Key to NYC vaccine mandate for city businesses, indoor dining, gyms, theatres and other entertainment venues to now include children ages 5 to 11 years-old. Beginning December 14th, children in that age group will be required to show proof of at least one shot.
According to the mayor’s office about 20% of those children have gotten at least one shot of the vaccine.
De Blasio said he expects the new mandate to survive any legal challenges. A spokesperson for the mayor said the private sector mandate will apply to roughly 184,000 businesses.
Additional guidance will be issued on December 15th, de Blasio said.

DeBlasio is thick we all know this. every country that is highly vaxxed, have seen covid cases increased significantly. When will these guys figure out this little virus must run it’s course and will progressively weaken, if left to do so. Er! Hasn’t Mayor Bill de Blasio yet understood that the vaccine doesn’t stop people being infected, or when symptomatic, transmitting it? How blind to reason can a mayor be, to deliberately ignore fact and impose on people what he KNOWS (from VAERS) will harm and kill them. Herein, using K18-hACE2 mice, we demonstrate that SARS-CoV-2 neuroinvasion and encephalitis is associated with mortality in these mice. Intranasal infection of K18-hACE2 mice with 105 plaque-forming units of SARS-CoV-2 resulted in 100% mortality by day 6 after infection. The highest virus titers in the lungs were observed on day 3 and declined on days 5 and 6 after infection. By contrast, very high levels of infectious virus were uniformly detected in the brains of all the animals on days 5 and 6.

We should avoid confusion around the term prion. In the past, prion disease has always been defined as that caused specifically by misfolded prion protein. The Creutzfeld-Jakob (CJD) in the chart above is hardcore human prion disease, viciously fatal with misfolded prion protein and it’s well established that the cases are about 1/million in a given population. A significant rise in CJD numbers should stick out like a hard on at the swimming pool. Huge increases in CJD cases would be like an episode of the Walking Dead maybe.
More recently, pretty much every protein misfolding disease that has the same nucleated seeding mechanism of misfolding is called a prion disease. They are called prions even though different proteins other than prion are the culprits that aggregate and misfold.
I’m not making a judgement on the definitions, just saying one should avoid confusion .Acquired forms a human prion disease are called iatrogenic and really rare. Don’t freak out just yet! During the whole mad-cow epidemic in the 90’s, people were eating tainted meat and out of millions of exposures, there have been only about 250ish cases that transmitted to humans.

I think this conversation perhaps originated with the observation that the spike protein has a sequence engineered into that has a tendency to aggregate. Such regions occur naturally in many proteins without problems. These regions, such as the one that is very oddly in the spike protein, are often called “prion-like domains” If things go wrong, then they could misfold, thereby causing a “prion disease”. Dr. Fleming is all over this and has actually said he believes that the real bioweapon in all of this is the prion (he’s using the word prion by the new loose definition). He’s compiled a lot of literature on the whole covid story, and check out item #7, a reference to “prions”.

At the very least all hospital and community doctors should have been warned by the CMOs to consider running baseline investigations such as full blood counts, cardiac enzymes, and clotting screens with D-dimers on anyone appreciably unwell post-vaccine. Of course they are doing dose testing. No doubt about it. They didn’t do animals studies prior to FIH clinical trials bc they didn’t care. This was all about the tech. and saving the industry (among other goals). Further, the manufacturing process control is absent for the same reason. Nothing has been done according to normal drug devt. This experimental, investigative product is still undergoing refinement. It is the most dangerous tech in the world. No, that is not hyperbole.
