“Frog poison detox ‘claims first British victim’”

Well, this fits right in with the Reptile Venom-based weight loss drugs Ozempic, Mounjaro & Wegovy (Semaglutide is Reptile Venom).

Don’t do this, people! Obese people can lose weight painlessly and stress-free, to get down to normal “Pleasingly Plump” or “Cuddly” size in about a year, just by shrinking their stomachs a tiny bit at a time, while eating whatever they want, only a TINY BIT LESS every time, even a spoonful less. It really works, it’s permanent, it doesn’t make you look like an extra in a Zombie movie, and your skin doesn’t end up sagging all over the place by shrinking too quickly.

On the other hand, people can keep injecting themselves with Reptile Venom and Frog Poison in order to qualify for a Darwin Award.

We were told to eat less red meat. It may have unleashed an environmental catastrophe according to the Telegraph.

A bunch of residents are attempting to sue a business which rears chickens for food for the damaging pollution when chicken manure is used on fields (presumably in place of hydrocarbon derived fertilisers).

…British farmers rear one billion chickens for food per annum, 20 million of which are raised in the Wye catchment…

Do the sums: 2% of British chicken is reared in the river Wye catchment area.

According to DDG.AI the Wye catchment area is 4,136 square kilometers and the UK is 244,376 sq km. So the Wye catchment area is 1.7% of the UK.

Only 25% of the UK is farmed but I have no real idea how the Wye catchment area compares with (say) the highlands of Scotland in that regard.

The number of chickens being reared in the Wye catchment area is not wildly disproportionate.

Maybe they just need to find a better way of using chicken shit.

Does the West know how big the Iranian stockpile is? Is there any way that we could be certain if they passed it all over?
We have no idea how much was produced after the inspections regime ceased, and anyway they have the knowledge and abilty to make more, since time doesn’t seem to be of essence to them.
It seems like an pretty empty gesture to enable Trump to walk away without conceding complete defeat, despite the regime still being in place and the Persians still being repressed by the Islamists.
We are all worse off as a consequence.
Thanks, Don.

I don’t see how externally imposed regime change can ever work reliably and it doesn’t seem like a realistic goal to end up with what you want unless by some miracle that aligns with what the people want. Anyway I doubt the US or Israel care about the repression of the people other than as a justification for pursuing what they perceive to be their own interests.

Regarding the nuclear capability surely it must have been diminished up to a point and there must be some intelligence information that backs that up. How much is being revealed to us and what the truth is we may never know, but it’s at least plausible. Yes they can rebuild but they will surely have been set back and the point is presumably that they will get bombed again if they are caught trying.

Whether any of this is sensible or justified morally or in any other sense, I doubt. If I were a country I’d want nuclear weapons or to be lifetime best friends with a big powerful country that had them, or both. It worked for North Korea.

Some say he only did it to please Nettie Netanyahu, because it is really only Israel that wants Iran destroyed, as revenge for some imagined slight from several thousand years ago, and to forcibly “fulfil” ancient prophecy. It has no benefit for any other country.

It is for the Persians to throw off the Islamic yoke if they want. Not the West.

“Incoming chief of UK speech regulator takes aim at VPNs”

Hold on, didn’t I just fill in a “consultation” yesterday (prompted by that article from the Together guy), including saying DO NOT age-restrict or ban VPNs?

Could it be that no-one is going to read what anyone wrote in that “consultation” – the Grand Censor at OFCON will just do what he likes with no accountability?

“Reform vows to axe tax on overtime in £5 billion pitch to Red Wall”

Is there any indication how this might work for the self-employed, working 60 or more hours a week?

The first thing Reform should do is repeal IR35.

Nope.

Day 1: Repeal the Climate Change Act 2008.

Actually, I don’t think a UK government can issue executive orders like that so I don’t know how long the process would take in Parliament…

Day 1: Start the process to repeal the Climate Change Act 2008.
