Levels of titanium dioxide that “systematically exceeded the acceptable exposure level” have been found in common face masks used for COVID-19, a study in Scientific Reports in leading journal Nature has found. Here’s the abstract.
Although titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a suspected human carcinogen when inhaled, fibre-grade TiO2 (nano)particles were demonstrated in synthetic textile fibres of face masks intended for the general public. STEM-EDX analysis on sections of a variety of single use and reusable face masks visualised agglomerated near-spherical TiO2 particles in non-woven fabrics, polyester, polyamide and bi-component fibers. Median sizes of constituent particles ranged from 89 to 184 nm, implying an important fraction of nano-sized particles (< 100 nm). The total TiO2 mass determined by ICP-OES ranged from 791 to 152,345 µg per mask. The estimated TiO2 mass at the fibre surface ranged from 17 to 4394 µg, and systematically exceeded the acceptable exposure level to TiO2 by inhalation (3.6 µg), determined based on a scenario where face masks are worn intensively. No assumptions were made about the likelihood of the release of TiO2 particles itself, since direct measurement of release and inhalation uptake when face masks are worn could not be assessed. The importance of wearing face masks against COVID-19 is unquestionable. Even so, these results urge for in depth research of (nano)technology applications in textiles to avoid possible future consequences caused by a poorly regulated use and to implement regulatory standards phasing out or limiting the amount of TiO2 particles, following the safe-by-design principle.
This is concordant with an earlier study in Water Research, which found lead, cadmium, antimony and various plastic and organic substances in face masks, and stated: “The toxicity of some of the chemicals found and the postulated risks of the rest of the present particles and molecules, raises the question of whether [disposable face masks] are safe to be used on a daily basis and what consequences are to be expected after their disposal into the environment.”
Sad to see the Nature article containing the obligatory genuflecting to face mask orthodoxy, ludicrously describing the importance of wearing masks against COVID-19 as “unquestionable”, despite there being no robust evidence they have any significant impact on transmission.

CoronaV19 is just not dangerous enough for almost everyone. So it doesn’t really matter if this or that “works” or if this or that is “effective”, the virus is not dangerous enough to bother.
Stop the debate before it begins on all of these topics (lockdown, distancing, masking, sanitising, hugging, handshakes, track-n-trace, etc) by reminding your opponent that it is just not that dangerous enough to bother.
What matters now is the damage caused by the governments’ policies including the impact of the jabs.

Nothing which asserts that buying loads of Chinese throwaway products is unquestionably important for anyone but the manufacturers is worth reading. Sars-CoV2 is not special. Hate to break it to you but there is a thing in a civil lawsuit for damages called the chain of causation. If you develop cancer you will have to be able to PROVE that it was wearing a mask that did it to you – as those chemicals occur in so many other items and substances you will have no way of proving that it was X’s mask that caused your cancer.
If it wasn’t so evil I’d have to give them marks for ingenuity.

There are numerous examples, I am told. One I have seen even went so far as hiding the finding that those in the BMI classification of ‘overweight’ had the lowest mortality, by putting it in the Results section.

We are constantly bombarded with the orthodoxy that scientific knowledge and technology should make all our decisions for us, and that any natural instincts we may have are dubious at best, and in most cases simply dead wrong. Most particularly when they go against The Science.
And yet I am sure that I was never alone in instinctively sensing that walking around all day with a random piece of artificial material – and since there has never been any official technical guidance on the subject, it has always been any random piece of artificial material – across your mouth and nose, cannot be right or healthy. And natural instincts actually have a pretty strong track record of keeping us alive and safe, since long before any infallible scientists and equally infallible politicians came along to tell us how wrong we are about everything and how they can and will improve on nature at every turn.

Interestingly, Kaufmans hypothesis on what our intermittent coughs and colds are for is that when our filters become clogged, they need to be changed, so the body is renewing these filters and thats why we cough up all the crap and get tickly feelings etc. There could be other detoxififcation happening as well. Its the body going through something like a snake shedding its skin. Ive just been through this and one thing I have noticed is that my singing is clearer and voice stronger. Masks have been reduced to “strong guidance” where I live. And yet people are still walking around wearing them. I was in a convenience shop the other day and all were masked – I was the only bare face. I thought “one of us is wrong here and I am sure it isn’t me”.

Two years gone by and the discussion of whether face masks are good for you or not continues. There will never be any valid conclusion one way or t’other. All that really matters is that when the Government order you to wear a face mask, will you comply? The answer is mostly ‘yes’. There will be those who say ‘no’ but the majority of them will have a mask in a pocket “just in case”.
No, that’s not all that really matters. It’s important to get through people’s thick skulls that the evidence that masks work is weak and that medical interventions must be led by evidence not politics or speculation, and that it’s not a zero-cost intervention. That way, next time more people might resist.

I beg to differ having read the Danish mask study, an RCT, last year. The results of that study demonstrated that there was no statistically significant difference in the transmission of SARS CoV 2 between mask wearers and those not given to modern superstition behaviour.
And I do recall they had to change them regularly and if they touched them, they’d have to change them.
