RAF Fairford on Terror Alert: Residents Evacuated, Bomb Squad Deployed and Multiple Men Arrested

RAF Fairford is in lockdown after several men were arrested under the Explosives Act, homes were evacuated and armed police reportedly started checking nearby cars for bombs. The Mail has the story:

It is understood the base has been put on Delta alert, the highest threat level that can be issued by Washington’s Department of Defence.

Meanwhile security has been tightened at other US bases in the UK, with reports RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk has been placed on Charlie alert, the second-highest threat level.

Residents living near RAF Fairford are being evacuated to a leisure centre as the British Army’s specialist explosive ordnance disposal team examine vehicles near the base amid what is understood to be a possible car bomb threat.

Roadblocks and armed police have been in place near the Cotswold base in recent days and emergency vehicles are parked nearby.

A witness said armed police had blocked access to the base’s main gate and around 30 police cars, ambulances and fire engines were in the village of Fairford.

Earlier a vehicle, apparently a tractor, was pictured blocking a gate at the base.

Gloucestershire Police said: “A number of properties are currently being evacuated in the Whelford area following the declaration of a major incident.

“It follows the arrest of several men on suspicion of offences under the explosives act.

“The Army’s specialist explosive ordnance disposal team are currently examining a number of vehicles.” …

The air base was the subject of a warning from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard in July as the regime warned Britain not to allow US bombers to fly from the base.

Westminster permitted US planes to carry out defensive strikes on Iranian missile sites that had been attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Ministers have also briefed bosses of critical national infrastructure of the threat posed by Russia, Reuters reported.

The Government is understood to be increasingly concerned about possible sabotage efforts and cyber attacks by Moscow, though the Kremlin denies any such activity.

I just have to pass on these public comments from the Breitbart article about this, in a discussion of whether the perps are “British National Muslims”:

Artie wrote, “Name one thing Muslims have ever done for anybody that didn’t involve terrorism.”

Devin replied, “Muslims invented the condom by using sheep intestines, then the British improved them by removing the intestines from the sheep first.”

🤣

I’m just surprised that our wonderful police didn’t breathalyse the lady who alerted authorities.

A ‘collar’ is a ‘collar’.

The security services wouldn’t have stopped this without her.

If they are that concerned they might consider stopping supporting wars of aggression. We are just too small to think we can take on Iran and Russia, unless we are planning to conscript the tens of thousands of fighting age illegal immigrants who now outnumber our military.

On the plus side: The uni-parties will never hold power again. They will NEVER defeat the people and their destructive actions are nearly done.

If any of them arrived here under the ‘Small Boat Scheme’, that information will of course be suppressed or denied.

There’s probably dozens of IRGC sleeper cells here, it’s obvious.

Also, russian, Uzbek and god knows who else.

That us why serious countries control their borders.

England hasb’t been a serious country since 1997.

It could be argued this has not been the case since 1945 – since the election of communists in disguise under Attlee.

Yes, that was when the country was set down the path of ruin. Sad to say the final blow being Blair and his heirs the rest of the political class including Boris Johnson. But blame the Russians or anyone else they can think of, but never them.

i feel a 1689 moment coming soon.

One minute the Police are busing in these people to RAF bases, giving the free stuff and food, but when they try and save us some money and organise their own transport they get arrested?

Speaking of Brexit, I was flabbergasted to read that Sarah Vine blamed the Brexit Referendum for her deciding to divorce Michael Gove!!! 🙄

Whatever next? “Brexit responsible for Global Warming”???
