Nowhere in that article is the size of the battery (and hence the official range of the vehicle) specified.
I can fill pint in 3 seconds but so what.
That would require a very high current, and would also require some way of cooling the battery so it doesn’t explode. I’ll believe it when I see it.
Rees Mogg is not the astute politician I took him to be. Telling us we have no history when I thought he wanted to protect our culture is mad and bad. The left will use it as an excuse for even more variety in our blood lines – all of the new stuff from Africa or the ME.
I think he makes the point very clearly. British culture is (or is bloody well supposed to be) a collection of beliefs, values and ideas.
If Britain allows in people from all over at great volume and at great speed, no questions asked, free gifts galore, without any effort to express Britain’s expectations of them, then it’s a recipe for disaster. JRM makes and has made this point very well.
He is not against immigration, and neither am I, child of immigrants as I am and as we all are. He is reinforcing what immigration is, and hence that what is happening with the inflatable dinghies and single young men being welcomed as saviours and kings is really, really not immigration. It is dangerous.
Downvotes care to elaborate?
https://www.civilserviceworld.com/news/article/romeo-moves-between-central-government-and-wider-public-sector-will-become-the-norm
‘…that will involve a “devolving by default” process of moving decisions that can be taken locally out of central government. Rewiring the State says “devolving by default” means that when policies or services are being designed or altered…’
Did anyone get the chance to vote for ‘devolution by default’?
The autocracy of Mr Pooter, the new aristocracy, strikes again.
Despite claims to the contrary, this will increase the size of a public sector already bloated beyond recognition.
‘…the north-east overwhelmingly rejected…an elected regional assembly…Over three-quarters of voters showed themselves unwilling to test out devolution, voting against the proposal by a majority of 499,209 on a turnout of 47.8% of the region’s 1.9m electorate.’ 2004
Just think of the legal fees to be earned when Whitehall or Westminster disagrees with the Borough council. This policy will increase public borrowing as they vie for public attention by spending ever more.
The purpose of devolution for Labour, is the promise it brings that even if the National Government is Right-wing, ie not Labour, local government will be in the hands of Labour, at least in their strongholds, and free to continue the Socialist programme of destruction with National Government unable to stop it.
This was the thinking behind Blair’s devolution to Scotland and Wales, both Labour enclaves where it was assumed Labour would always govern even if the Tories were in Government.
That didn’t work out and delivered a mess. But Socialists never learn – this time it will work in the regions.
Xi Jinping is hit with fresh online health rumours There won’t be anyone holding his hand when he descends into hell.
“Staff mutiny at ‘toxic’ BBC Sport as boss set to cut jobs”
What will they do, show recorded football even later after the match? Or am I to lose coverage of Commonwealth BMX biking, Women’s half-speed rugby and two minutes of skiing overlapped by twenty two minutes of Ski Sunday presenters presenting themselves?
I thought the idea was to move London based jobs to Manchester and nearby. Why not sack a few over paid dribblers in London to save the same amount of cash? Start with the cricket commentators only one of which is worth listening to and it is not the one with the highest profile.
The English are a mongrel people, not an Aryan master race
‘…the languages closest to modern English are Frisian and Dutch…aDNA evidence for migration into eastern Britain from the what is now the Netherlands, northern Germany, Denmark, and southern Sweden…the people and culture of southern and eastern Britain from the 4th to the 8th centuries…much more interesting diversity’…’The history of the British Isles and Ireland is characterized by multiple periods of major cultural change, including the influential transformation after the end of Roman rule…We identify a substantial increase of continental northern European ancestry in early medieval England, which is closely related to the early medieval and present-day inhabitants of Germany and Denmark, implying large-scale substantial migration across the North Sea into Britain during the Early Middle Ages…A comparison with present-day Britain indicates that subsequent demographic events reduced the fraction of continental northern European ancestry while introducing further ancestry components into the English gene pool, including substantial southwestern European ancestry most closely related to that seen in Iron Age France…’

We will never forget that over 2.5 million Indians, 1 million Africans served in the armed forces of the British Empire in WW2, 1.5 million Indians, 150,000 Africans in WW1 (and tens of thousands of them died in each conflict). That is one good reason why Britain has welcomed so many immigrants from those places to these shores since 1945.
No. Let’s stick to facts, not emoting.
They were “welcomed” to provide cheap labour for the NHS and nationalised indudtries by cash-strapped Governments because the British wouldn’t work for peanuts. They certainly were not welcomed by the people whose jobs they took.
And until a change of law in 1968, British Subjects – anyone born within the British Empire – had freedom of movement and right of abode in the UK.
They were not geverally welcomed hence the 1963 Race Relations Act, and on-going electorate voting over the last 30 years for the Party “promising” to reduce immigration, and of course the current rejection of mass immigration by the indigenous British.
No, the Third World Ethnics enthusiastically volunteered in hopes of getting PERMISSION TO SETTLE IN BRITAIN, just like the Gurkhas did, and because the pay offered was huge in comparison to their normal wages at home in their own countries. Most of them, like the Ethnic Africans in the US Army, were posted, like Hitler, WELL BEHIND THE FRONT LINES, well out of danger, and Monro’s fantasy figure of “tens of thousands of them dying in battle” is just invented by himself and other Communist Traitors.
None of them were actually necessary, but were encouraged to join in order to later flood Britain with them and their large extended families, and give them jobs in preference to British War Veterans, all thanks to Stalinist Traitor Clement Attlee, while threatening British War Widows with HEAVY FINES & IMPRISONMENT if they refused to welcome the Third World Ethnics into their own homes as Bed & Breakfast Lodgers, cooking and cleaning for them, as they occupied the rooms of the British Widows’ dead husbands and children slain in the war, or the 100,000 BRITISH CHILDREN from poor families FORCIBLY TRANSPORTED TO AUSTRALIA like tiny criminals, without their parents to protect them, never to… Read more »
Despite the widespread belief that South Asian migration to the UK began after WWII, there is evidence of a considerable South Asian presence dating from the 17th century that has been documented by historian, Rozina Visram (2002).
The early settlers from South Asia included a range of transitory and permanent migrants, and were a diverse group from different regions of South Asia…South Asian migrants over the centuries included servants, such as nursemaids and travelling nannies (known as ayahs) who accompanied British families returning from India, sailors (lascars) who settled in port cities like Glasgow, London, Liverpool and Cardiff, soldiers who fought in the two world wars, members of Indian royal and aristocratic families who came for education purposes and for leisure trips, and professionals like doctors, lawyers and merchants’
Aryan refers to Indo-Iranian languages and cultures. Hitler took the term and twisted it for his own purposes.
Aryan is not a racial term and therefore using it in that context – particularly aside “master race” – about the English is at best disingenuous, at worst mischevious and in any case incorrect.
Starting in the late 4th early 5th centuries, the Angels origination in what we now know as Southern Scandinavia were the first settlers as the Romans left, settling the East Coast of England to the north and south of the Humber, and then into the Cumbria.
A little later came the Saxons and Jutes who looking for unclaimed land chose the South coast – the Jutes mostly Isle of Wight and corresponding mainland.
The Vikings – mostly Danish – came numerous from the 10th Century onwards settling what is now Yorkshire.
The mix was with Brythonic Celts who arrived 12 thousand years ago. Their DNA is present in the British between 30% and 70% depending on the area of ancestry. In England, DNA is predominantly Germanic and Nordic.
Because we are an island, this fusion of DNA has created a distinct, unique,… Read more »
No one but Hitler ever talked about a pure race.
WHITE PEOPLE KNOW WHO THEY ARE, and they don’t need Traitors like Monro and Rees-Mogg to tell them.
‘People from India have been coming to Britain – risking their lives in voyages across the ‘Kala Pani’ (Black waters) – since the beginning of the seventeenth century. Their story has both grand historical sweep and the intimate drama of individual lives. They came as sailors, servants, wives, merchants, ambassadors and scholars, sometimes for betterment or profit, sometimes for adventure, and sometimes for justice. Occasionally, they became famous, like the Bengali Muslim calling himself ‘John Morgan’, a renowned animal trainer, or Sake Dean Mahomed (1759-1851), ‘shampooing surgeon’ to the Royal Family. Often they remained anonymous. After the ‘Indian Mutiny’ of 1857, the South Asian presence in Britain, more visible than before, was also more sharply defined. ‘Brown Victorians’, now to be found in the docks and factories, universities and theatres, law courts and hospitals’

Rees Mogg has gone completely mental.
What does he think he’s playing at? Is he hoping to get a job at the tony b.liar institute for global enshitification?
Indeed. The “pure bred Aryan master race” argument is a straw man. Up until fairly recently, the vast majority of people living in England were white Europeans, and the vast majority of those had roots in the British Isles going back centuries and often millennia. The population of the British Isles came mainly from a few places in Europe.
A mix of roman britons, celts, picts, scotti and anglosaxons from the German forests, a small amount of viking and a small amount of norman amongst the parasite classes.
Pretty stable for a thousand years.
Why is Rees Mogg piping up about this?
Yes, whoever said anything about an “Aryan Race”, except Globalist Traitors trying to silence Patriots by sly references to Nazis?
“Nazis, Nazis, Nazis!” is the Bog-Standard Communist Globalist rant at anyone who objects to the Globalist Borderless World. The formerly respected, supposedly Conservative Rees-Mogg has really gone off the deep end, after lecturing the public that “Some of you Proles will die” in a new Globalist Meatgrinder War against a country that has never invaded the UK.
As someone said, “What the **** is he on about?”
Maybe we should have a good news Friday.
Sorry, there isn’t enough to fill the round-up!
Please see above Royal Air Force Cadet & Reform MP Francesca O’Brien’s great speech in Parliament about Wales.
Here’s some good news from Parliament! A stirring defence of the Indigenous People of Wales, and their contribution to the United Kingdom, by Reform MP Francesca O’Brien:
“The United Kingdom is the greatest nation in the history of the world. We gave parliamentary democracy, common law and the industrial age—I’m glad you’re laughing, it’s not funny. We defeated Napoleon. We abolished the slave trade—sorry to disappoint you. We stood against Hitler in 1940 when the rest of Europe had fallen.
And at every one of those moments, Wales was there.
Wales has been at the centre of British history for generations. In 1485, Henry Tudor, a Welshman born in Pembroke castle, landed near Milford Haven. He marched through Wales, gathering men to his banner, the Red Dragon, and he took the crown at Bosworth. His granddaughter Queen Elizabeth I began the British empire, which was such a force for good in the world. Sorry, Carrie. Welsh minds then went on to shape the modern world. William Grove from Swansea invented the fuel cell in 1842, a technology the world is still using today.
In Mumbles, a constituency I used to represent as a councillor, we pioneered the world’s first… Read more »
