Female Detective Who Helped Jail Prolific Paedophile Sacked for Describing Transwomen as ‘Cocks in Frocks’

A female detective has been sacked and placed on the same misconduct blacklist as murderer Wayne Couzens and serial rapist David Carrick after criticising Northumbria Police’s transgender strip-search policy. Detective Constable Rachel Fletcher, who helped jail a prolific paedophile for 23 years, was dismissed for gross misconduct over comments her force deemed “sexist” and “transphobic”. The Mail has the story:

A woman detective has been sacked for gross misconduct and put on a blacklist alongside killer and rapist officers after calling out her force’s woke ideology.

Detective Constable Rachel Fletcher, 49, was reported by male colleagues for saying “c**ks in frocks” to denounce Northumbria Police guidelines which permit biological men who identify as women to insist on being strip-searched by a female officer.

Ms Fletcher, a single mother-of-two, had been pivotal in ensuring Ross Jackson, a prolific paedophile, was caught and jailed for 23 years in Newcastle in February.

But the veteran child protection and family liaison officer was then shocked at being fired last month.

Northumbria Police said she had brought it into disrepute with comments about men that were “sexist, inappropriate and offensive” – plus the single “transphobic” remark.

She has been barred from policing after working her way up from a civilian post to become a detective in a 20-year career.

All officers guilty of gross misconduct are on a blacklist. It includes ex-Met Police officers Wayne Couzens, who murdered Sarah Everard, and serial rapist David Carrick.

Male colleagues told a disciplinary panel they were “offended” when they overheard Ms Fletcher joking with a female officer that all men should be on a 9pm curfew to stop night-time sex attacks.

Ms Fletcher was also allegedly heard saying, at Gateshead police station, that “all men are rapists”. She insists she said “all rapists are men”. She said: “Offending colleagues does not make me a danger to the public, yet my name is now on a list with rapists and murderers.”

Northumbria’s Chief Constable Vanessa Jardine until recently held the LGBTQ portfolio on the National Police Chiefs Council and drafted the trans treatment guidance.

Former Olympic swimmer Baroness Davies, co-founder of the Women’s Sports Union, said woke police forces were “destroying their public credibility”. Former South Wales Police Superintendent Cathy Larkman, director of the Women’s Rights Network, added: “This is a modern-day public witch burning.”

She’s clearly having a bit of a laugh, and even if not, so what? Sounds like her whining colleagues should be in frocks.

Yes, but frozen at its current level, and she can’t claim it at 60 any more. I think she has to wait now until state pension age.

Our fragile minded and vindictive police force is no longer fit for purpose.

I hope she and her lawyers succeed in quickly clearing her name.

I wonder what it costs to train a detective? My hunch is A LOT! But this incompetent gov’t seems to think we have money growing on trees. A quiet word with this detective was all that was needed. Someone in authority best correct this now and reverse the decision taken. Otherwise, I hope this detective has a fine lawyer and sues for unfair dismissal. I can tell you, she will win her case. Most courts of law side with workers.

Her comment about ‘cocks in frocks’ is completely spot on. However, it would definitely upset the woke police establishment. Sackable? On its own, maybe, given how woke the police service has become.

Her comments about men, though, we’re unwise. Those, coupled with her ‘transphobic’ comment, sealed the fate of her career.

On the subject of the male officers feeling “offended”. They need to get a life. I wouldn’t have been offended, but I would have called her a silly cow (and probably got myself into trouble as well 🙄)

I heard lots of senior officers claim to be offended by stuff. I always thought the same thing; “Eff off, dickhead. You’re not actually offended. You just feel like you should be.” I would suggest that is what has happened here.

Sacking her is surely far more disreputable than anything she could say to her colleagues?

If the sum total of their police experience is on Twitter, perhaps. Someone who had to regularly police a Friday night or a difficult estate, less so.

Mock shock, more likely. Annoyed they didn’t think of it first.

What should women who claim to be men be called? Maybe a tranny with a fanny.

No, that’s why many of them get themselves promoted, well away from actual policing.

Let’s not forget that this is the force that connived with Newcastle United in the banning of Linzi Smith. Admittedly no charges were brought but she was still investigated for her remarks. I haven’t heard the other side of this, whether a female officer can refuse to search an offender dressed as a woman with a todger in his knickers if he demands a female officer search him. Presumably not without facing the same fate as this excellent officer.

I was brought up to believe that honesty is a virtue, obviously not anymore.

I sincerely doubt she said the comments about all men being rapists that one or two people with an axe to grind have accused her of. When it’s a case of one person’s word against another’s regarding what was or wasn’t said and there’s no witnesses people should be presumed innocent until proven guilty. I’m sure that in a court of law one person’s claim wouldn’t be enough to convict someone, why are employers allowed to ignore the fundamental principle of British justice?

So, making a comment that some professionally – affronted so – called men don’t like is now a sackable offence? It should beggar belief, but says so much about the state of our police. I wonder if the complainants were envious of this woman’s success in putting the paedophile away.

Perhaps the complainant was scared of her. Perhaps she knew something about them.

Only if she has enough money to bring the case and survive while it is heard. As with all of these modern day witch hunts, the process is the punishment.
