A secret Whitehall deal to keep a “temporary” migrant camp in Crowborough open until 2030 despite repeated assurances it would operate for no more than 12 months has been uncovered by council chiefs in East Sussex. The Mail has the story:
A camp housing 600 asylum seekers is set to remain open until 2030, despite repeated assurances from the Government that it would operate for no longer than 12 months.
Council chiefs say they have uncovered documents revealing a secret deal between two Government departments – understood to be the Ministry of Defence and the Home Office – to continue housing migrants at the former Army training camp in Crowborough, East Sussex.
The first of up to 600 asylum seekers, all single male migrants, arrived at the camp in January. Residents have since taken to the streets in weekly protests.
Councillors say they have repeatedly sought clarification from the Home Office about the camp’s long-term future, but have been kept in the dark from day one.
On Wednesday, Wealden District Council said it had found “details in court papers revealing that two Government departments have agreed between themselves to allow the camp the option to remain open until 2030”.
It added: “This is despite repeated promises from the Government… that the camp was only temporary and would be open for no longer than 12 months.”
Councillor Michael Lunn said he believed the Home Office was extending the lifespan of the camp to recoup costs which he claimed were four times that of putting migrants in hotels.
He said: “Residents are furious. We have been lied to from the beginning. We have been dismissed, ignored, put on the sidelines and the impact on the community has been huge.”
He added: “This latest development is just the tip of the iceberg. Crowborough is decimated – house prices are down, local shops are suffering, it’s going to be a ghost town.”
On Wednesday night, campaign group Crowborough Shield also claimed the Home Office had “confirmed permission until 2030”.
Kim Bailey, who is leading the group’s legal battle against the plans to house migrants at the camp, said: “We’ve always known this was never going to be for 12 months and that [the Home Office] intended to use it for longer.
“They’ve just confirmed permission until 2030 and chances are it’s going to go on for a lot longer than that.”

The peasants don’t get a choice, the UniParty has been walking in lockstep on importing the third world and giving them free reign to rape and steal as they please. I think it is 20% of the third worlders in the Crowborough camp, have taken the free bus provided to Croyden, and just walked off. The Home office tries to call them on the mobile we paid for twice, and if they don’t pick up are considered “Lost”.
There is no effort to recover them, just added to the population. Why aren’t they in a prison camp with 20ft razor wire fences pending immediate deportation?
Why are they even here? Why aren’t the frogs doing what British taxpayers keep paying them to do ?
Of course, the Home Office could easily trace them using a tracker they’ve placed in the mobile, but they do not want to trace them. They want to flood the country with them.

A lot of things start off being temporary then become permanent. Housing illegal immigrants in hotels was meant to be temporary, I’m sure that until we get a sensible government that can largely stop the boats and build secure basic detention centres for anyone who still comes here they’ll be permanent.

Yes, like VAT, which was invented by Disraeli as a “Temporary Tax on Luxuries for the Wealthy”, and was stealthily transformed into “You Peasants cannot buy ANYTHING without paying the government a special tax called VAT.”
VAT should be abolished, along with inheritance tax and thousands of others.
Shifting as much of the tax burden as possible from spending to income would make the system fairer although I’d keep inheritance and capital gains tax.
Politicians love indirect taxes because it’s much harder for people to work out how much they’re paying compared with looking at a wage slip and see how much tax and national insurance has been deducted. This means that indirect taxes are more or less stealth taxes.
Inheritance tax is a dry tax and is robbing the dead. CGT is a tax on the profit made during a transaction and justifiable. IHT needs to be abolished and replaced with CGT.
Don’t swallow the official propaganda. The boats are being run by government subbies. The whole business has been planned and mapped out. Actually illegals are not the major problem. Hundreds of thousands are being shipped in by various “legal ” means. The boats could be stopped overnight if the intention was there.

Surely even Liebour are sensible enough to realise that people shipped in by other means e.g. on work or study visas who are then allowed to stay on after their visa expires bring slightly more benefits to the UK, obviously not enough to outweigh the harm that mass legal migration is causing, than the ne’er do wells that arrive via Border Force Uber, and there’s and endless supply of them
The illegal migrants are the tip of the iceberg.. what about the ones being flown in by the millions to come and do make-work (often sponsored by their fellow countrymen), the student visas, the Afghan saga etc etc. None of these people should be here.

These show that solar activity is decreasing and we might end up with a climate similar to that during the Maunder Minimum and Little Ice Age. The upcoming solar grand minimum might not be as severe and long lasting as the Maunder Minimum and the climate ends up being similar to the Dalton Minimum i.e. colder than it currently is but not as cold for as long as the LIA.
Full blown ice ages (technically glacial periods) are caused by much longer term orbital cycles. We’re well past the peak of the current inter-glacial period but, based on previous changes from inter-glacial to glacial conditions it’ll be several thousand years before the Earth is the depths of the next glacial period. It won’t be a constant drop in temperatures, they’ll be many relatively short term periods of natural warming similar to the current one.
