Today I wanted to revisit “Commie Academy”, which I first wrote about in June for the Daily Sceptic.
When I say “Commie Academy”, I’m actually (half-jokingly) referring to an organisation titled the ‘New Economy Organisers Network’ (NEON), which has been churning out numerous activists onto the airwaves, one of whom provoked a lot of criticism this week.
That is, Zoe Gardner (above), who appeared on BBC Newsnight, where she was labelled an “immigration researcher”. This caused controversy, as Gardner has become infamous for her extremely liberal attitude to asylum. She is essentially an open-border advocate.
Gardner’s views begin to make a lot more sense when you know about her passing through NEON’s doors. Years ago she took part in one of NEON’s spokesperson training programmes, as you will see in this screenshot below (Gardner is on the far left)…
NEON regularly runs spokesperson programmes, with other alumni including Left-wing talking head Grace Blakeley…
…and two Labour MPs. These are:

…and Dr Jeevun Sandher (far right).
When I highlighted Gardner’s participation in one of NEON’s programmes, she blocked me on X and downplayed the experience, describing it as “media training”:
However, NEON is certainly no ordinary media-training scheme. Case in point: its website reads “We help social justice movements win.”
Even more interesting than that are the numerous “Messaging Guides” NEON puts together for activists, which certainly undermine the idea of it being

Dr Gilbz is interesting – her latest YouTube video interviews a load of climate scientists at the recent EGU in Austria. All in support of anthropogenic global warming. The first guy interviewed from Kings is researching how they can use lawyers more effectively to get their message across and be more successful in legal cases.

Strange the BBC did not know this was a group of political activists. What were its researchers up to, or were they asleep.
The definition of the word charity seems to be very broad these days when applied to left wing organisations. NEON and all its donors should have their charitable status reviewed. Any funding from Soros or Gates or from tax payers funds should be an indication it is not a charity but a political group.

I always thought Quakers did not hold opinions, especially political ones. Life is full of disappointment.
I confess I felt the same way Mr Heaven, I even met one who, when queried, told me their meetings were in the main just sitting round not saying anything, which I thought was pretty good for any ‘religion’!
Until I found out that underneath all that peace and tranquility lay a seething mess of very extreme far left ideology and very unchristian hatred. Intent upon the destruction of life in our green and pleasant as we know it.

A charity should be something that individuals donate freely too. Governments should not be donating to any charity, it is not their money , and they did not request, or receive permission from each and every tax payer to give the tax paying individuals money to Governments ideological preferred pet charities .I wonder how much money could be saved by making charities independent of Government again

If you ever watch day time TV, it is amazing that there are so many ‘commentators’ with an opinion. Naively, it hadn’t occurred to me that there would be a funded finishing school with support materials. Terrible.

I am guessing all the wealthy sponsors can claim back tax through their ‘charities’.
I’m sure they do and it’s something a new government should look into very carefully and cut off relief for politically motivated organisations.
As I’ve said before, many of these groups are funding dissent and are therefore backed by government and the taxpayer.
Another thing that needs looking at carefully is the legal profession in parliament, we effectively have lawyers creating legislation which in any other area would be considered a conflict of interest. They get away either it with impunity, I’ve nothing against lawyers advising government on the framing of legislation but creating, drafting, enacting and then potentially profiting from their actions seems to me to be fundamentally wrong. Interestingly the worst offenders such as Blair and Starmer are glaring examples.
Ask any Guardian reader however and they will blather about that place where all the “right wing” lobbyists hang out, the name of which escapes me.
