Is This The U.S. Navy’s Dylan Mulvaney Moment?

2 min read

The United States Navy has turned to a drag performer in its efforts to reach younger recruits on digital platforms and social media. The Mail has the story.

Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley, whose stage name is Harpy Daniels, announced on TikTok in November that he would be the Navy’s first “digital ambassador”, highlighting his journey from performing on board beginning in 2018 and growing to become an “advocate” for those who “were oppressed for years in the service”.

Kelley, who identifies as non-binary, was one of just five active sailors to participate as “digital ambassadors” for the Navy in its “efforts to reach a wide range of potential candidates”, a spokesperson told Daily Caller.

None of the digital ambassadors were paid, the spokesperson said, and no promotional or recruiting materials with the ambassadors exist.

The campaign is reminiscent of Bud Light’s partnership with trans-star Dylan Mulvaney which led to an immediate backlash, cost billions and caused the brand’s sales to plummet.

The Navy’s digital ambassador programme has now ended, running from October 2022 through March 2023, and officials are now working to assess its effectiveness.

But authorities say the Navy is still expected to fall 8,000 short of its recruitment goals for the year.

Perhaps drag artists and vaccine mandates aren’t the way to attract people to a military career, after all.

Worth reading in full.

This should ensure the US Navy reduces its intake significantly. The Biden administration just keeps making weird and I may add dangerous decisions. This could not be done on purpose, could it?

I would say that the campaign was highly effective. It achieved its goal of deterring a generation of young men and women from signing up. The US is all finished. Its moral authority long since gone. It has nothing but bullyboy tactics and greed. What a shame. It showed great promise at one time but a country built on the backs of others, which ignores its own domestic issues of addiction, homelessness, poverty, unemployment, pollution, and continually looks outwards to stamp its ‘brand’ all over the world, full of paranoid lunatics who believe this myth of being the world’s white hatted cowboy is going to fail. This is all part of the theatre of its own implosion. Goodbye USA!

The absolutely last thing which would make me want to join a predominatly male organization like the navy is You’ll end up on a ship stuffed with gay transvestites for months on end.

I bet he’s Chinese funded. What better way to destroy a country’s defences?

Saw this on another site: “The easiest way to make up the recruitment shortfall is to count every recruit who claims They/Them as their pronoun as 3 recruits. Problem solved.” My 19-yo daughter came home from her first semester of college using they/them as singular pronouns. Clarity is not a priority anymore, I guess.

Don’t conflate signal and noise.
This is the Marxist Biden regime’s 5th column destruction of the US armed forces, as demanded by his CCP masters.
It’s called unrestricted warfare and the Chinese make no secret of it, including the destruction of morality, economy, digital services, manufacturing, health.
It’s happening in the UK too with Sunak and Hunt’s assistance.

The US military is overrun with Biden’s yes-men. They celebrated Tucker Carlson’s ousting because he suggested they might be better off concentrating on being ready to fight wars, rather than waste time promoting social justice and equity ideologies.

How on earth was this approved?

The only logical explanation is a failed attempt at a viral marketing, similar to the very successful yet also controversial “snowflake” adverts for the British Army.

This theory doesn’t hold much water however.
Outside interference highly suspected here.

Seriously, I think they’d have more success dusting these guys off with this classic. It surely can’t be any worse for their image!🤭
