Excess Deaths Higher in Finland in 2022 than in the U.K. in ‘Pandemic Year’ of 2020

by Nick Rendell
5 April 2023 9:00 AM

The Finns have just had a General Election which has resulted in a change of Government. The key themes of the election were the economy, climate change and education. No mention of excess deaths. I for one think there’s something mighty odd about this.

Just to put some context on the data, Figure 1 compares excess deaths in Finland with excess deaths in the U.K. in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Figure 1

Per capita excess deaths in Finland in 2022 were higher than excess deaths in the U.K. in 2020. Now, I know the Finns are a notoriously dour, indeed a phlegmatic bunch, but really you’d think someone would have thought to mention it during the election campaign? Indeed, it’s a surprise that an election was held at all given the prevailing mortality rate. Back in 2020 we cancelled our May elections.

But it’s not just Finland. In Germany all-cause excess deaths per million in 2022 were only 3% lower than the UK rate in 2020.

Figure 2

Think back to 2020 in the U.K. There was a lot of stuff on the news about people dying. We were told that Covid was ravaging the land. Go on, you must remember. Clive Myrie kept popping up on our TV screens in ICU wards dressed in a hazmat suit telling us we were all doomed. Boris and his chums held nightly press conferences to tell us how awful things were before Robert Peston or Laura Kuenssberg asked why more wasn’t being done to stave off Armageddon. We flagellated ourselves for allowing such a high proportion of our people to die. Think hard, I’m sure you’ll remember, there really was the most awful fuss.

So, why isn’t it a thing now? In Finland all-cause excess deaths were 18 times greater in 2022 than they were in 2020 and in Germany they were more than three times higher. Yet, I venture to guess, the people felt safer in 2022 than in 2020. If the Finns and Germans weren’t in a panic in 2022, why were we in a panic in 2020? Conversely, if we were justified in our panic in 2020, why weren’t they panicking in 2022?

The situation in Germany and Finland isn’t unique, it’s repeated in a number of other countries. Figure 3 shows seven countries (there are many others) where, in contrast to the U.K., all-cause deaths are significantly higher in 2022 than in 2020.

Figure 3

The amazing thing to me is that in each of these countries their populations appeared to feel safe in 2022 whereas they lived in fear in 2020. They appear to believe that their salvation is down to being injected multiple times by mRNA vaccines. Looking at Figure 3 you can understand that people in the U.K. could be persuaded to go along with the narrative; an unprecedented pandemic is defeated by a combination of novel NPIs and novel vaccines. High levels of excess deaths in 2020 subsided in 2021 and further still in 2022; it all seems to fit the narrative. But how does that work in those other countries where the rate of excess deaths keep rising?

What prompted me to write this was a conversation I had with a Finnish friend just last week. She’d recently recovered from a Covid infection, (no, I don’t know why anyone would bother testing for it now either). In telling me this she attributed what to her appeared to be a miraculous recovery to her four vaccinations. It just made me stand in awe, amazed at how you can persuade virtually the entire population of a country whose excess death rate has increased 18 fold that it’s been saved by a miracle cure. I’ll leave that one with you.

Curious as you say. An election. No mention of the Rona fascism, no mention of the LDs, the usurpation of rights and Nuremberg codes, no mention of the murdered old people, no mention of the dead post stabs….unreal. Brain dead sheeple – how many idiots in our own lives imitate this half wit Finn from the article? Meanwhile the stacks of dead and injured from the poisons surround her/it/he/the thing….

she attributed what to her appeared to be a miraculous recovery to her four vaccinations.

It is a great article. I too have my head in my hands wondering how we have got to this situation. Many I know are waiting for the television and media to tell them what to think (unfortunately). If it tells them to be scared then they naturally obey. It is as if the statistics/facts do not matter unless the MSM reports it 🤦‍♂️

Indeed. Even when the MSM report it – as they did with the “Hancock Files” – normies seem uninterested and just want to “move on”. It will take revelations of cataclysmic dimensions repeated hourly in block capitals for their heads to shift from beneath the sand. The basic assumption that democracy works without the need for intervention from the people to prevent tyranny, folly and evil is deeply embedded now.

Still testing too… I know countless people who test for Covid at the slightest sniffle. Also oldies who are getting excited about their 5th vaccination coming up.

Oh I know tell me about it, every bloody week (or it seems like it) someone in my Partner’s family has either got Covid or is just recovering from Covid. When I question her about not asking her family members why they’re still testing or say “lucky they got ‘vaccinated’ then” she just rolls her eyes and carries on with whatever she was doing. Hopeless absolutely hopeless.

Indeed. My friend’s family are the same – regular testing, regular Covid, off work and school. It just goes on and on. I now just express sympathy as she’s impervious to anything else.

Interesting that the UK’s all cause excess deaths is falling whilst other countries’ excess deaths are rising.
How does this change if covid deaths are ignored? Are UK non covid deaths rising faster than other country’s deaths or at the same rate?

Good observance that people feel safer now than in 2020 and 2021. Project fear really worked.

I know an older couple who have shunned the vaccine and taken their chances with the dreaded virus, good for them Their daughter is married and lives in Germany. We have had many discussions with these people on how exasperated they are with their daughter because she has had her infant children vaccinated and with boosters against covid.

When is the pfennig going to drop with these people?

That’s a bit like war and road accidents: War is terrible because people get killed or horribly maimed there. People also get killed and horribly maimed in road accidents day after day. But that’s an everyday occurence and thus, doesn’t matter.

EU road accident deaths 44 per million in 2021

UK road accident deaths 29 per million in 2019

Ukraine war deaths 2500 per million in 2022

What’s that supposed to communicate? Beyond this being a shit statistic as road accidents affect the whole population while war predominantly affects soldiers?

When ignoring this, 0.25% of the population of Ukraine died because of war in 2022, ie, statistically, the chance for survival was 99.75%. That’s smaller than the statistic chance for road accident survival in the EU in 2021, which was 99.99% but that’s not really a meaningful difference: In both case, the vast majority of people survived and both are close enough to 100% that Basically, everyone survives is a justified claim.

There’s no propaganda against ‘murderous’ road traffic because the people who inflict this mayhem on their fellow population want to drive cars. There’s a lot of propaganda against war because the same people who don’t mind killing others would mind being killed very much.

If you really believe that war predominantly affects soldiers, given Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Dresden…….., you need help…..

Nice bit of absurdity wrt covaxxes: If COVID was a very deadly disease only covaxxes protect against, the number of unvaccinated people should be dropping sharply. Because it doesn’t, an explanation is called for. It traditionally looked roughly like this:

COVID is a very deadly disease for people who have been vaccinated against it they can contact by accidentally mingling with the unvaccinated who became antisocially immune to it and can thus pass it on without dying themselves. The solution is more COVID vaccination.

I think the disease is a reality in terms of the cells it attacks it ate away at my mouth. And of course this is the first of many. It is hard if you lve with someone who took the deathjab because you don;t know if and when, For me it a a Zen monent. We can;t know but we are vigilant. We can’t let them destroy our civilisation.

Normally, in just about all countries 10 in a 1,000 people die in any year. Nearly all elderly frail people who’ve reached the end of their lives. In 2022 in Finland, Germany, Japan etc & in 2020 in the UK etc, etc, 11 in a 1,000 died, nearly all elderly, frail people at the end of their lives. The differences are really very small….. unless, of course, you’re that extra 1 in a 1,000. It’s got to be someone.

Socialists are not quite as smart as they think.

They can’t come to realise that something they did ‘in the name of the greater good’ (TM) was actually very harmful to them.

What happened to the excess deaths we were supposed to have had in 2022 and are still having? Does that not affect the overall deaths? I’m confused, again!

Does anyone have recommended reading on what makes individuals, groups or populations susceptible to propaganda, fear porn and narratives? Or, put another way, what makes a very small proportion of the population able to recognise authoritarian behaviour for what it is?

I’m afraid it simply demonstrates the success of the PsyOps campaign: switch it on, and the sheeple panic. Switch it off, and they go back to their mundane lives “eating the grass.”

Those who created the Plandemic and PsyOps campaign are studying the effects of their experiment and will be using it to finesse the next one.

They now know how many will resist and who they are ……
