The Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating, Clarence House has said, in spite of being triple-jabbed, religiously observing mask mandates and having had it before. MailOnline has more.
Aides said the prince was found to be positive during a routine test – which suggested he was experiencing no strong symptoms – but they declined to go into further details on his medical condition.
A message on the prince’s official Twitter page read: “This morning The Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating.
“HRH is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today’s events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible.”
Both he and the Duchess of Cornwall have been taking regular tests before engagements and Clarence House said Camilla had a negative test on Thursday. Under current Covid rules, although she lives with Charles, Camilla is not required to self-isolate as she is also fully vaccinated.
A spokesman added: “The Duchess of Cornwall has routinely tested negative today. She is on a separate series of engagements from the Prince of Wales.”
While in the past, Covid rules would have dictated that all those who had come into contact with the prince must self-isolate, it is no longer a requirement.
It comes a day after Boris Johnson announced he plans to axe all virus restrictions in England by the end of the month which would mean even those who have tested positive for the virus will not be required to self-isolate, “provided the current encouraging trends in the data continue”.

I just wish to mention the following. I had an appointment for an NHS hospital procedure earlier this year. A PCR test was required. I duly tested positive so the procedure was postponed. The procedure was duly rescheduled and the hospital told me that there was no point in having another PCR test because I would probably test positive again. I was asked to do two lateral flow tests instead but on my admission no-one asked whether I had actually done the tests and if so what the results were.

Here’s an analysis (important in my view) that the public almost certainly won’t see in the mainstream press. Kudos to the researcher from this site (the Daily Expose in the UK) who took the time to perform this analysis … which reached these conclusion:

In my view, Robert Kennedy, Jr. is absolutely correct when he postulates that public health agencies might as well be called what they have really become – vaccine promotion agencies.
And, for the record, I am not an “anti-vaxxer.” If I was, I would not have let my children get their polio and diphtheria vaccines. I allowed this for one reason only – because I think these vaccines actually do prevent polio and diptheria.
However, when my children’s pediatricians gently or not so gently pressure me to get my child vaccinated against the flu … or against COVID, I always politely decline.
Few ask why I decline their invitation/recommendation, but if they did I might refer them to this post.

In the ‘anecdotal evidence” category, I could add (for what it’s worth) that the one year I did get “my” flu vaccine, I got the flu. And, unlike many people who test positive for COVID, my flu case was not “asymptomatic.” I was sick as a dog for a week. In fact, I have never heard of an asymptomatic case of the flu. Without the dreaded Rt-PCR test and its derivatives this ugly mess could not have happened, will not happen and won’t happen in the future.
I would like to see some journalism that told us how much money has been spent on testing in a given country or the world. Count the “take” from the labs, test manufacturers, doctor’s offices that administer the tests, retail pharmacies that buy and sell the take-home tests, etc. The figure might be higher than the cost of the vaccines.
I also wonder how much money has been spent on masks.
