  • “The return of the flu” – “The flu has returned to some countries with high rates of natural immunity against Covid. In contrast, countries with high vaccination rates are seeing record new Covid waves,” reports Swiss Policy Research.
  • “Covid in Scotland: huge drop in hospital admissions for older people” – “Hospital admissions for older pensioners with Covid fell by almost 80% in the past fortnight after an escalation in the vaccine booster programme,” reports the Times.
  • “South Africa to be put on England’s travel red list over new Covid variant” – Flights from six countries will be banned as officials review travel measures after scientists voice concern over variant, reports the Guardian.
  • “U.K. Policing Bill: ‘disease’ is added as a ‘public nuisance offence’” – “The Government’s Policing Bill creates a new ‘public nuisance offence’. The offence includes where an individual risks causing another person to suffer ‘disease’,” reports the Epoch Times.
  • “Couple in damages fight after vaccine side effects” – Kerry Hurt says she was left partially-paralysed due to the side effects of her Covid vaccine, reports BBC News.
  • “French Caribbean rocked by fresh unrest over Covid measures” – “Protesters in French overseas territories in the Caribbean opposing measures to limit the spread of Covid clashed again with security forces on Tuesday as the Paris government vowed to restore order,” reports France 24.
  • “Time to consider mandatory jabs in Europe, WHO official says” – “The World Health Organization’s Executive Director for Europe has urged nations on the Covid-stricken continent to ponder compulsory vaccination,” reports RT.
  • “Wave of excess deaths not explained by Covid” – “The U.K. is suffering a wave of excess deaths not fully explained by the Covid, according to official statistics,” reports the Times.
  • “The Covid revolts: Europe’s new wave of unrest” – “We are indeed the odd one out in Europe, but not necessarily in a bad way,” writes Ross Clark in the Spectator.
  • “Portugal reimposes Covid restrictions as cases rise” – Portugal, one of the world’s most vaccinated nations, has reimposed some restrictions to stop a surge in Covid cases, ordering all passengers flying into the country, even those fully inoculated, to show a negative test on arrival, reports Reuters.
  • “Christmas parties set to be smaller this year, says pub boss” – Parties are also likely to be in venues outside city centres, says the owner of Harvester and All Bar One, reports BBC News.
  • “Assisted death only for vaccinated, euthanasia association says” – “Anyone wishing to be euthanized now has to first present proof of vaccination or recovery from Covid, as per the new guidelines issued by Germany’s euthanasia association,” reports RT.
  • “RFU revenues down £70 million due to impact of Covid pandemic” – “The Rugby Football Union believes it will take several years to recover from the impact of the Covid pandemic, with the governing body’s annual report detailing an underlying loss of £21.3 million,” reports the Times.
  • “With low vaccination rates, Africa’s Covid deaths remain far below Europe and the U.S.” – “But Africa hasn’t gotten the bloodbath that was promised, and as one Nigerian put it, ‘They said there will be dead bodies on the streets and all that, but nothing like that happened‘,” writes Ryan McMaken for the Mises Institute.
  • “German army under orders to be jabbed as country passes 100,000 Covid deaths” – “Germany will order all 183,000 of its armed forces personnel to get vaccinated in a first step towards widespread compulsory immunisation,” reports the Times.
  • “In toppling Thomas Jefferson, the woke mob has shown that it wants to destroy America itself” – To pull down statues of giants who fought courageously for democracy is nothing less than the first step in a national suicide attempt, writes Andrew Roberts in the Telegraph.
  • “Acting has been colonised by the posh” – Why do woke types never complain about the lack of working-class representation in showbiz? asks Julie Burchill in Spiked.
  • “Paedophilia is not progressive” – “Now that safe spaces and universal acceptance have become the norm, it is fashionable to tolerate all kinds of proclivities and inclinations in the name of diversity,” writes Ayaan Hirsi Ali in UnHerd.
  • “The decline of the humble Christmas card” – “In a world striving for equality, it is far easier to bring us all down to the lowest level than to raise us higher,” says Frederick Edwards, who comments on a new generation of ‘woke’ Christmas cards loaded with foul language in Bournbrook Magazine.
  • “Can the polls be trusted?” – Dr. Renee Hoenderkamp speaks to talkRadio about the legitimacy (or lack thereof) of surveys probing public support for mandatory vaccination: “The poll split people out depending on how they answered the first question. I’m very worried.”

Dr Renee Hoenderkamp says a YouGov poll that claims the majority would back a vaccine mandate gave her different statistics depending on her responses.
