Children at the Wales high school in Rotherham can only dream of returning to normal school life, with mask-wearing outside of the classroom and a ban on different year groups mixing continuing into the future. “We’ve got to remember that Covid is still here,” says Headteacher Pepe Di’Iasio. The Guardian has the story.
Rotherham… is currently one of the most infected areas in England and Di’Iasio is worried that the cases will increase with the beginning of the academic year, as university students return to Sheffield. “There is going to be an influx of people to the area that has one of the highest rates in South Yorkshire,” he said. “And so we wanted to establish some routines that can be maintained for the next three or four weeks. If things go well, we will scale those routines back rather than bring new routines in.”
Di’Iasio said that the stricter measures have been met with support from staff and parents, but he thinks it will be a learning curve for the pupils, especially those arriving from primary schools who did not have to wear masks before. “When students have to have a mask on all the time it is an easy rule to maintain, whereas now they have to remember to put their mask on when they leave the classroom,” he said. …
“With the face masks during lessons it was harder to learn the names or tell who is misbehaving. Many pupils would be agitated towards the end of the class,” said Grace Stansfield, a languages teacher at the school. “And especially when teaching languages, it is useful for the children to see you speak.” Like other staff members, Stansfield hopes that the school’s current measures will prevent a return to the stricter regime from last year.
The Guardian throws its weight behind the enforcement of strict measures at the school by quoting from a number of students who seem to be happy to carry on wearing face masks.
“The masks can be irritating, but they are there for protection,” said Alistair Daoud, a year 12 pupil who has lost his grandmother due to the virus. “I would rather wear a face mask than lose 12 days of valuable learning time for isolation.” However, Alistair is glad that he will only have to wear a mask outside the classroom, as he found it distracting during lessons. Many of his teachers agree with him.

Apologies to any present here and the odd few decent ones, but teachers really have turned out to be some of the most evil bastards throughout this. They can’t possibly claim to have any regard for the kids in their care. The fact that they have no critical thought whatsoever is extremely concerning indeed. And if theyrre that easily led and brainwashed, what can they possibly have to give that is of any use to the younger generations.
They’ve have been the bain of our lives for 13 years – can’t wait to be shot of the lot of them. Good bloody riddance.
The primary function of schools is to turn out obedient people. Teaching some basic skills and sorting kids by intelligence/capability comes next. Then theres the brainwashing of the kids with the social beliefs of the time. And that’s all there’s really time for.
A few rogue teachers may try to stimulate some independent thinking and teach some critical thinking skills. But it’s few of them, and they can “rescue” little more than a handful of kids from the tsunami of social conditioning that is schooling.
The ideal product of a school these days is a kid that says: “I would rather wear a face mask than lose 12 days of valuable learning time for isolation.”
This kid will grow up to produce more offspring of the same kind. Basically, the very process of entirely neglecting liberty in education (and it’s been ongoing for an entire generation if not longer already) is how we got into this whole mess in the first place.
I think teachers have been a severe drain on this country mentally, physically, psychologically and especially financially for at least thirty years.
Right up there with GP’s for their utterly negative impact on the country.
Masks, lockdowns, vaccines for the whole population which when you look at the data and studies that show none of it works and do more harm. Yet people have been so brainwashed they buy into it even though it makes absolutely no sense and hasn’t from day one. I’m not the brightest but why are people being so stupid, I mean absolutely think as shit. I feel like I’m living in a parallel universe.
If you are, you’re there along with people like Copernicus and Galileo – good company.
I’ve noticed that people are definitely thicker now than they used to be. Must be all that oxygen deprivation and toxic overload from those wonderful masks and jabs.
The masks are a part of the problem. The real brain destroyers though, are the various Covid vaccines which all generate spike proteins that will block the blood carrying capillaries, including those in the brain. This may lead to the permanent death of some of the brain tissue.

And watching such brain rotting drivel such as daytime TV, the one show, soaps and apologies for upsetting millions of people, strictly come dancing.
I haven’t watched strictly for a few years now, since they started signing up Youtubers and ‘influencers’ as contestants. It’s clear from the way they talk/behave on the show that they’re there to induce their followers to receive state conditioning.
How much general TV you watch (not just the news/propaganda) seems to have a major influence on your ability to think freely.
Family members & friends with very good education, high IQ but watch TV a lot are far more on board with the brain washing than those of us who rarely watch soaps, reality shows, or magazine style rubbish prefering to stick to films and sport, where you aren’t groomed.
I think that’s why I’ve found it so awful that politics has now found its way into football. Fully agree with the booing of players that spoil my entertainment by bring their ‘real life’ issues into it. I watch to escape such stuff. Feel free to highlight what you like but not within the game, keep it off the pitch.
The average person is entirely cut off from alternative sources of information and too lazy to care. It is indeed a parallel universe.
Drove past there today at school kicking out time…… not a muzzle in sight

Meh.
Masks don’t work.
They’re a psyop.
FFS, there’s no cure for stupid.
Systematic child abuse in Rotherham. Well, wouldn’t be the first time!
Dear Toby, I would like to draw your attention to the entire county of Powys, which has defied Welsh gov advice until further notice. The whole county is still under the same restrictions as it was in July, including masking in classrooms. This has been the case since September 2020. Our minister who holds the portfolio for education Mr Phyl Davies, who I assume, is making these county wide decisions when asked for some time to discuss the masking of children replied “I have 2 minutes for this- I don’t think we need more than that.” I was unable to engage with him again. Parents of all schools in Powys are also required to were face masks OUTSIDE when collecting children ( some of them 4 years old after first days at school) yet we can all have a vino in the pub together sans masks( quite rightly) – what the hell?? Do let me know if it would be useful to see some of the letters we are getting sent home to justify these decisions- if it were not such a God awful situation for the kids it could be funny.
I am from Powys as well and it is led by a bunch of ignorant donkeys who have little clue about anything in real life, Mr Phyl Davies being a great example. As a result it has to be one of the worst run councils in the UK.
I bet not one of them realises that masks are pointless and that there is no evidence for their use, they are too lazy and hooked into Groupthink. This includes members of the senedd as well (Russell George, a great guy but a clown where masks are concerned)
Is that Maisy Evans sitting in the front row of that image? The girl still touting the vaccine after being admitted to hospital with a blood clot on the lumg AFTER having the jab? Who was a member of the first Welsh Youth Parliament? I may be wrong but she uncannily looks similar.
This was always going to happen. The propaganda has given inspiration to safety loons everywhere. Even if the government wanted to, they cannot put the genie back in the bottle. This will go on for years – workplaces, venues, industries and organisations will be plagued with covid theatre inflicted by the fearful or the sadistic forever.
The ability to control rules gives hopeless (otherwise ignored) mini-despots some strong power trips. Imagine being the cleaning lady or clerk at last being able to show that snobby professor who’s the boss… that’s certainly worth something.
They always find the one kid who wants to wear a mask..
It might not be at the top of the list of things to worry about, but at school I had pretty bad skin – wearing a mask constantly would probably have left me with permanent scarring. During early teens that would’ve been utterly soul destroying for me.
Well I don’t understand this. Seems to be mask wearing outside the classroom but not in the classroom. Yet if the year 12 pupil thinks masks are there “for protection”, shouldn’t he be wearing them 24/7?
We are not at school to teach about logic, just about masks.
Places of learning that fail to learn that masks are useless and a distraction. All based on false assumptions and ignorance (laziness?).
…..Could do better!

Wearing a muzzle will lose more than 12 days of ‘learning’. Restricting oxygen by inhaling your own carbon dioxide does more damage long term. Ever heard of Bacterial Pneumonia…? If not, you will have soon, when all these stupid muzzle wearers get it…!
