More than a quarter of adults in the E.U. are either “very unlikely” or “rather unlikely” to accept a Covid vaccine, according to the results of a new survey conducted by the E.U. agency Eurofound. Here are the key findings.
The stated intention to get vaccinated varies considerably among Member States, with an important east-west divide discernible across the Union. With the notable exception of Austria and France, the intention to get vaccinated is over 60% for all western Member States – with Nordic and Mediterranean countries, Denmark and Ireland having even higher rates – while among eastern Member States the rate is dramatically lower, ranging from 59% in Romania to 33% in Bulgaria.
The report notes that people in the prime age group (aged 35-49 years) are more sceptical about vaccines (29%) than younger and older age groups (26% and 27%, respectively). Unemployed people (39%), those with a long-term illness or disability (39%) and full-time homemakers (33%) are more vaccine hesitant than people in employment (26%) or people who are retired (23%). The least vaccine averse are students (13%).
According to the survey, fielded in February and March 2021, the main reason for vaccine hesitancy is a lack of trust in the safety of the vaccine. Almost half of those who are unlikely to accept a Covid vaccine believe that the risks associated with the virus are exaggerated. Eight per cent believe that Covid doesn’t exist at all.

Trust in the news media, pharmaceutical companies, national government and national healthcare system is lower among the hesitant than the non-hesitant. Use of social media as a primary source of news and information is identified by the survey’s authors as bearing a “strong association [with] vaccine hesitancy”, despite the fact that the non-hesitant report as being more trustworthy of social media (albeit only marginally).

The survey does not distinguish between different Covid vaccines, though it is likely that hesitancy rates are greater for the AstraZeneca vaccine because of fears over its relationship with blood clotting. In Denmark, where the AstraZeneca vaccine has been dropped from the national rollout, a recent survey found that far more Danes would decline to get an AZ Covid vaccine (33%) than would refuse to get a Covid jab altogether (7%).
The results from the Eurofound survey are worth reading in full.

First they came for the nightclubbers – but I did not go to night clubs so I did not protest
Then they came for the football fans – but I did not go to football so I did not protest
Then they came for the concert goers – but I did not go to concerts so I did not protest
Then they came for the pub drinkers – but as I do not drink I did not protest
They they came for me – and there was no one left to speak for me

The lesson there is that if Pastor Niemoller had been a music loving footie fan who liked a bit of a drink, he’d have moved his arse a little quicker.
But, but, they won’t come for me because I’m vaccinated …
I’m sorry to hear that! commiserations
Just kidding. I’ll see you in the camp.
Aha – there is your mistake:line 4, second clause!
On a lighter note, there was/ is a large family locally who shall I say were/are “loveable rogues” and many years ago, one of them passed their driving test and other members of the family used to “borrow” it for whatever use they wanted to make of it, driving, id,etc.
NUFF SAID!
It’s not about cheating it which would be piss easy, hack n trace for example, it’s about how despicable the very idea is, and that those touting it should be dragged through the streets and tried for treason.
Hack and trace doesn’t generate a real qr code though. If this is linked to the central database like the EU one then it won’t be easy to cheat
The only way this process benefits the globalists is if it is an interlinked international system, built on the pretext of enabling international travel, but actually a global biometric database, intended to form the datacore of a universal social credit system.
you think they’ll swipe 60,000 people or just pass a cursory glance? the hold ups will be a nightmare, systems down, computer says no, crowds backing up becoming ever more unruly
Yeah you’re probably right there.
ABSOLUTELY!!!
Agree with you, but if you drag through the streets in a proper manner, there will be no need for a trial. Sounds fine to me.
Good on them, if they do it with the Covid pass. Shame though, that one of them had to die for the family.
Tragically this is all down to those pitiful rabble in Labour. If they pledge to oppose this in Westminster, then with Libdems there is a fair chance of enough Tory rebels to stop Boris before he can do any more damage. But if the godawful Starmer sits on his hands again, it’s going to pass, and we enter full blown medical apartheid.
I think Starmer’s hands are welded to his backside, either side of his head which is pushed well inside. We are supposed to be pleased we live in a free thinking liberal democracy…………welcome to the People’s Republic of CCC Britain (CCC- covid and climate change).
All Starmer has ever done in his life is sit on his hands. Which is why we have a broken prosecution system. He is a Blairite and I suspect is doing what Blair wants whilst the Tories are toeing the line.
And the TRULY insane part of this is that one can still pass on covid after double-stabbing, BUT cannot pass on covid if one does not have it (i.e. if one has a very recent negative covid test).
{And, yes, I know the tests are as rubbish as the stabbings, but it’s their requirement so it should use their criteria!}
Have lost another ‘friend’ over this. She refused to visit as they have been double jabbed and we haven’t. She thinks (ridiculously) that she may give us Covid as we haven’t been protected. I just think these people have had their brains turned to mush
Why are people obsessing over the minutiae of this or that government rule when it’s clear that there has been a coup and the country is now a TOTALITARIAN AUTHORITARIAN STATE RUN BY A GLOBALIST CABAL?
Absolutely agree! I don’t think counting face masks in the supermarket is going to help much.
I don’t think the ‘social credit system’ will be coming in just yet – I’d say perhaps after another year, when people have got used to having to ‘turn up on time’ for their 3rd jab (booster), 4th, and so on. Actually, that may be all that’s needed for starters, controlled by your vaccination status. And then the ‘vaccines’ will not be free any more, will they?
The unvaxxed will be squeezed ever more – and a coercion trick here is to let everyone know that the first jab vaccines will be ending on a certain date, and the 2nd jab vaccines will be ending on another date… and then there will be an unholy scramble to get them before it’s too late. And then it will be too late for those that missed out, or stubbornly refused. There will be the added panic with the announcement that there are not enough of these 1st and 2nd jabs for everyone.
By this time, the double-jabbed will already be taking their booster 3rd jabs, and will be making their way towards the 4th.
The vaccines will be the carrot for your life – fall behind and you will be shunned from society, unable to buy anything, not allowed shops, certainly not pubs and restaurants. And then, the 5th jab may be available for only, say, 70% of the population… or so they’ll say…. and that will get rid of 30% in one fell swoop.
A bit fanciful, maybe.
Yes.
Have a cup of tea and chill
Agree with most of what you say. I think the timing is off. The globalists are panicking due to the rising popularity of Trump and the MAGA movement. People forget this Cartel want to rule the world. It’s about power. The first annoyance was Brexit. They have dealt with that by buying the British Government who will now lie to the people. We do not have our break from Globalist run EU. We have the break up of the United Kingdom into States as per the EU strategy.
However, the second annoyance has become a Godly Movement. They cannot shake it, destroy it or defuse it. The American people have never been caught in a socialist political project like the UK. They have known the evil of the Democrats stealing most elections and the corruption of their backers the big international bankers. However, Trump was like the coming of the Messiah, adored by most because he understood the need for patriotism. Until the Globalists can break America they will not win. Therefore they are rushing everything through before MAGA takes all in 2024. I think they will try to complete the takeover by end of next year. This means vaccines were rushed out and the reactions have been too horrific and too many to now hide. Therefore they will ramp up the fear this winter and unfortunately the majority of Brits will behave like the Germans of 1939/45. They will do as they are told because they have never dealt with socialism at its worst before. Like rabbits in headlights we will see a rush to be jabbed incase we get the midnight knock at the door. That knock on the door is still remembered by many genuine asylum seekers. These injections are already beginning to do their work. A booster in November and maybe another in January or February will complete the second stage of the programme. By 2023 the carnage will be complete and the chip will go into those the Globalists need to use for the future.
Icke, Yeadon, Fuelmich and Bannon all say we have the smallest window to stop this. Once we can stop it we can break the globalists and the CCP. That is the long haul and this time we must be sure that no Communist/Bolshevik/socialist or whatever you want to call these people, ever get the reins of power again. We make the same mistakes over and over again by giving these greedy and evil people the benefit of the doubt.
A week or so ago I gave a report from our vacation from South Carolina to Florida, how the beaches, bars, and restaurants were crowded, with no masks, etc. I promised an update from Texas.
We spend an evening in Houston, then drove way down south and west to the Big Bend region, along the Rio Grande river, which _is_ the border with Mexico. Strangely, Texas is way more “masky” than either Florida or our home state of South Carolina. Masks don’t seem to be required for folks going about, dining, or shopping, but you see more people wearing them.
Houston was the worst. We ate at two restaurants, one very fancy indeed, and another a very modest (but delicious) Mexican place. In both, the patrons were mask-free, while all the staff were masked. Maybe that is some local rule? It seem medieval… making the “help” cover their faces in the presence of their betters.
Elsewhere, you see maybe one out of 75 people out and about wearing masks, and I can’t discern a pattern of class, race, age, or anything else. But I haven’t worn a mask at any moment in this whole trip.
Down on the border, it is the land of freedom. Or, more like utter insouciance. It is like there has never been a pandemic. We spend two days canoeing the Rio Grande in a small group, and no one mentioned Covid the whole time. At the resort from which I am writing, the mood is aggressively anti-“concerns”. The manager told us at dinner last night of the couple who checked in one evening back in the winter and promptly called the front desk to complain that a groundskeeper, working outside and alone, wasn’t wearing a masks. The manager promptly offered to refund their stay if they checked out at once. This is a hunting, shooting, and horses kind of place. I assure you there will be no “vaccine passports” here.
(They did say that we could only keep handguns in our rooms if we had Concealed Weapons Permits, otherwise they had to stay in the gun-vault with the rifles and shotguns. They did not actually ask to see our Permits… they were just reporting the policy.)
I keep track of the data coming out of the CDC. The “Delta Variant spike!” seems to be pure panic-mongering rhetoric. In SC, which is seeing a “surge!” (according to CNN), the “cases” are at the level they were back in April of 2020 (when no one at all was getting tested). SC, FL, and TX remain below the national average for “7-day-averaged daily Covid deaths”, hovering around 0.6 per million. For the past 50 days, “Covid” has been demonstrably _¼_ as great a mortal danger in SC as “accidents”.
It seems to me that there is simply no justification, at this point, even to bother counting “cases” anymore, let along disrupt society based on PCR tests. We continue to extend our heartfelt (if confused) sympathies to our friends on the UK. We cannot figure out what your government is doing, but it really seems sinister.
Sanity.
We used to have it here.
I don’t think it’s “really sinister”, just “really partisan”. To the hard core of the US democrats, Texas and Florida are state-sanctioned killing grounds where citizens are put to death by the hundreds or thousands (or dozens at least?) by incompassionate right-wing politicians and they do probably really believe that.
For people who oppose lockdowns, it’s pretty much the same, they’re just looking at other deaths and swap right-wing for left-wing.
I think “I would rather not live than run the slightest risk of getting infected with deadly corona” and “I rather have a life before death as there’ll certainly be none afterwards and the individual risk of deadly corona doesn’t seem that great” are irreconcilable: If people were rational wrt probabilities, no one would play the lottery. Hence, this is unfortunately just an us versus them thing.
Exactly what I hear from friends who live near the border. However, they also talk of the chaos of immigration and terrible numbers flowing across. What was your experience near the border
People who live at the border, those I talked to, feel sympathy and concern for those trying to cross to the USA. We talked to a guy who owns a ranch right on the border… he said that his house had been broken into a few times, but the only thing taken was food and water; they’ve taken to leaving a cooler on the porch, which solved that problem.
There are regular Immigration check-points on the roads near the border. Everyone has to pull over. We’ve been through four of them… my wife and I in our Honda Accord. The officers take a look and say, “Have a nice day.” If we were in a closed truck, I imagine it would be different.
I make a point to thank them for their work. They are mainly after the “coyotes”, the real criminal human-traffickers. And borders _are_ important for any nation-state.
Folks who live at the border do not seem to consider Mexico a very foreign country… they regularly do their grocery shopping there, for example.
I am just a tourist, passing through, and it is a complex situation, so my observations are not worth much.
Thank you for taking the time to post this.
Several years ago I spent some time at a fishing/hunting lodge in Montana.
On the lodge wall was a sign: “No shooting in camp”.
I love America and believe that country is our only hope of recovering our freedom.
Meanwhile… The Speaker of the Commons has dismissed vaccine passport checks, prior to entry into the House of Commons as “ludicrous”…
Draw your own conclusions. This needs to end, right now.
A case of “don’t do as I do, do as I say”.
I decided to unplug myself from football 18 months ago when I heared Bill Gates state this Orwellian shit was the only way out for us.
To be honest I don’t miss it all now and I was a die hard. I didn’t watch the kneeling millionaires either.
Game of football or a risk of death or a permanent neurological disorder?
No thanks twats, keep your sodding football.
We turned the bread and circuses off eight years ago and have found our lives to be richer, less anxious and more sociable since. Even during the so called lockdowns we have visited friends and family. Entertained at home and driven wherever we want. We haven’t visited concerts, theatres or restaurants. We miss restaurants but not concerts or theatres.
Yes, i used to enjoy football but not since it became a game for mercenaries who had no interest in local clubs but enabled them to make millions. As i said to a friend after the Euro final, if you’ve supported West Ham for the last 50 plus years as i have, you get used to disappointment! For those who still want to watch football, maybe check out the local lower league clubs who will not have 16,000 size stadiums?
Agreed. I was the same at The Arsenal. Even had a couple of shares that were stolen by Kroenke. Disappointment is endemic! I’ll certainly be looking for a lower League club where it’s about the game. Maybe even buy a share or two!

When Chris Martenson looked at the UK figures 1-2 wks ago he concluded that the Delta variant was less/no more dangerous than the flu (CFR 0.2%).
Vaccine passports for flu??!! Absurd. Maybe that’s one way to destroy the idea … ridicule it.
For ‘Delta’ variant the CFR is lower than 0.2%, it’s 0.127% across all ages for the unvaccinated !!!
Fewer cases for vaccinated so far but much higher CFR for both single and double vaccinated, the latter being 8x higher.

if you go to page 12 you can see that the Delta Scariant has a very low CFR of 0.2%
If they are going to promote vaccine passports they need to first show independent scientific evidence that mass vaccination doesn’t encourage vaccine escape (as accepted by SAGE in their most recent minutes), that the vaccines actually work to suppress infection and transmission (recent evidence suggests that they have rather little impact and emerging evidence suggest that they might increase the risks of an infected person becoming an asymptomatic spreader) and that robust pharmacovigilance shows the vaccines to have no significant debilitating side effects (at short- medium- and long-term). Oh, and robust pharmacovigilance doesn’t mean the yellow-card system, which has proven itself to be rather poor at collating side effect data for covid.
Without these supporting data the government’s push for vaccine passports is a political gesture that is unlikely to provide benefits in terms of disease transmission and might well make things worse.
They keep conceding on vaccine passports, then within a day they bring them back in some form or another. Someone behind the scenes is forcing them to try and try again to bring them in.
Now they are going for our young people by hitting the nightclubs, trying to spoil their enjoyment and coercing them into these jabs. We know that the jabs dont work, the AZ one has disappeared quietly, no mention of all of the deaths in the media, and the Pfizer one has replaced it. The Pfizer one is no less deadly and just as useless against Covid.
The right strategy for dealing with Covid was just to let it spread amongst the low risk groups and shield the vulnerable. Nightclubs are a great way to expose young people to the virus. The more it spreads the more natural immunity builds up, and young people healthy enough to go to a nightclub are super low risk.
So we can see the evil at play here. They dont want people to get natural immunity. They dont want the pandemic to end due to naturally acquired herd immunity, instead they want to force people to have these vaccines which they know will kill and sterilise in large numbers and prevent no one from getting covid. Anyone who thinks that this governmental overstep will stop here has a headful of rocks.
Getting Covid has low risks in the young and has 40 times better protection from re-infection than the jabs which are riskier for the young.
They seem to solely want everyone continuously jabbed.
Why is a ‘sceptic’ media outlet treating Govt movement control propaganda as if it were genuine research into solving a genuine pandemic? Has the writer never heard of Florida, Texas or large parts of Afica that are just carrying on as normal?
Any business which plays along with this b*llox should be shunned. Do not give them a penny. The return of ’80s pop-up raves is imminent. Viva La Revolution!
Why are you using a photo of Charlton supporters for an article highlighting the potential for vaccine passports in crowds above 16,000?
It’s been years since they’ve come close to getting that many at The Valley.
So the sheeple are allowing the Government to change the goalposts, steal their freedoms, steal their jobs, steal their entertainment. Still they don’t get it. How stupid half the country is, and they all seem to be in the ‘educated’ group.
Football clubs WANT to have to check the “jab” status of 60,000 people, many of whom will have spent several hours down the pub beforehand and won’t react well if they’re refused entry?
Yeah, right!
That’s if they’ve managed to get in the pub without “papers please!”

My local Northern League club gates 150 on the gate – 300 or so for a big game.
A couple of the 80 year old plus guys who used to man the turnstiles were killed off when that repellent creature Hancock injected them with the “execution” drug last april. This govt are scum and criminals so should just be treated with the utter contempt they deserve.
Capacity of Wimbledon centre court is 14,979. Just saying…
They still don’t get it…what are the real benefits of a ‘vaccine’?
Interesting fact, seeing as we are demanding youngsters take an experimental drug to get entry into clubs in 26 years there have been 1065 ecstasy related deaths in the uk https://www.statista.com/statistics/470824/drug-poisoning-deaths-mdma-ecstasy-in-england-and-wales/ in comparison we’ve had 1470 deaths in less than half a year caused by the jabs, didnt we used to want to stop dangerous drugs getting into clubs? now it seems we are mandating them instead what changed?
Good point!
I was under the impression that even Twitty and Unbalanced conceded that it was nigh on impossible to be infected in the open air.
Therefore why does someone need a vaccine passport to sit in the open air for a couple of hours or so.
Absolute NONSENSE.
