NHS England has finally told hospitals to differentiate between patients who are actually sick with Covid symptoms and those who test positive while being treated for something else in its daily flow of Covid data.
The CDC is investigating several dozen reports of heart inflammation in teenagers and young adults after Covid vaccination. These cases occurred in people days after receiving an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna).
The CDC says that Americans can stop wearing face mask indoors. The loosening of restrictions comes, as always, with a range of snags – not least the fact that they only apply to those who are fully vaccinated.
When the New York Times weighs in to fact check the CDC, you know something is in the wind. Reporter David Leonhardt says the CDC's advice that less than 10% of transmission occurs outdoors is true but deceiving.

Joe Biden asked Americans to wear face masks for the first 100 days of his presidency. 100 days later, new CDC guidelines say that only fully vaccinated people can do away with masks outdoors, and not when in crowds.
Federal health agencies have called for the US' Johnson & Johnson vaccine rollout to be paused immediately due to cases of recipients developing rare blood clotting disorders within two weeks of being vaccinated.
