YouTube removed a video of a speech made by David Davis at a Conservative Party Conference fringe meeting in which he argued against the introduction of vaccine passports in the U.K. The Independent has more.
Senior Conservative MP David Davis has accused YouTube of censoring him after the platform removed his speech criticising the use of domestic vaccine passports in Britain.
The video of the former cabinet minister – speaking on the fringes of the Tory party’s annual conference last week – was uploaded by the civil liberties campaign group, Big Brother Watch.
In a notification email, the platform told the organisation: “YouTube doesn’t allow claims about Covid-19 vaccinations that contradict expert consensus from local health authorities or the World Health Organisation (WHO).”
During the speech, Mr. Davis hit out at the use of domestic vaccine passports, decrying them as “illiberal, demanding that we an ordinary British citizens produce our papers to do something which is normal in our daily lives”.
The Conservative MP suggested the use of vaccine passports was about “trying to push a policy by covert coercion, about pressurising people to get vaccinated”.
Just last month, the U.K. Government dramatically shelved proposals to the [sic] enforce the mandatory use of vaccine passports at crowded venues such as nightclubs, but has kept the policy option in reserve.
Reacting angrily to the move to remove the video, which has now been reinstated on YouTube, Mr. Davis labelled it an “outrageous attack on free speech”.
“Throughout the pandemic, we have seen blatant attempts by big tech to silence opposition voices challenging the conventional wisdom,” he said.
Mr. Davis added: “My speech at conference was carefully researched, wholly accurate and backed up with the latest scientific fact.
“This unambiguous attempt by YouTube to censor by speech is a warning. If YouTube is happy to attempt to silence elected Members of Parliament, then they are also happy to censor anyone uploading content to their speech.”

Let’s hope this is a wake up call to MPs about the threat posed to free speech by the Online Safety Bill, which will encourage social media platforms to be even more censorious.

I’m a member of the Labour Party and always thought Davis a bit of a wally. But he was absolutely right (in partnership with the Labour MP for Acton and Ealing Central) about Vit D and he’s right about this. One thing I’ve learnt from this ghastly dystopia is that people must be judged on what they do and say now. Their history or political allegiance is irrelevant.
100%. The notions of Left and Right are a quaint distinction we can get back to arguing over when we have our country back. As with WWII, we must come together now to fight this disgusting global entity. I want no more of strange little men like Klaus Schwab growling about how I have to give blood samples and be tagged and tracked like livestock if I want to engage in international travel. Also remember MPs are human beings not machines, they are all unique and complex just like you and I. We aren’t all going to agree on everything or even have the same reasons for what we do agree on.

And yet a video in which a retired MP states he does not agree with vaccine passports, is removed instantly. This is the same vaxx that does not prevent disease. If anything YouTube should be censoring any gov’t that attempts to force a vaxx mandate, as the definition of a vaccination in thIs instance is false. I’ve just this second come off a market research zoom meeting for NHS Wales. 13 random folk from north-east Wales being asked their views on social care etc. Mix of genders, ages and ethnicities.
I was the only unjabbed one, and the only one who admitted to never wearing a mask in a mandated setting (e.g. supermarkets in Wales). Got a few tuts for that…
They were all very cautious, fearful, pro-lockdown, pro-mask.
However, two topics united us – our opposition to the apartheid society that would be brought about by vaccine passports, and our utter disgust at the way the NHS, in the end, has let us all down.
Everyone was desperate for face-to-face with their GPS, and in utter despair at the thought of getting ill. Tragically, two had close friends who died of undiagnosed cancer last year, who would have been still alive had they had face-to-face with their GP.
Many claimed they had caught covid (several since being double-tapped), but none had been hospitalised by it, and none stated that they knew anyone who had died of it.
Several were saying that they thought that covid was now being used as an excuse by the governments of the UK to cover up the fact that the NHS had been in decline for very many years before now.
Interestingly, at the beginning they were all very pro-mask, etc, but as I weighed in with my scepticism, they became more sceptical too. Almost as though my outspoken views had given them permission to be a bit more vocal.
My summary of the general consensus: over-caution concerning Covid, distaste for the Covid-pass, and anger at the mismanagement of the NHS.
Now you see why they close the pubs and force masks.

Had lunch in a local pub today. The staff had previously worn masks when serving but today were maskless. When I commented how nice it was to see peoples’ faces again, the manageress told me she thought that latterly the masks were scaring customers away. What a turnround!

I challenged the other 12 members of the panel that if any one of them could prove to me that masks work, I’d start wearing one there and then. Disapproving silence. I told them I was unable to wear one because, to me, based on my research, I would be wearing a lie. Disapproving silence.
For those vocalising why they liked the mask mandate, it was all about “It makes me feel safe.” Or “Wearing one shows that I am concerned about making others feel safe.”
It was all touchy feely, over-emotional claptrap. I was the only one who constantly referred to research and scientific investigation.

YouTube are owned by Google. The people who run Google (and almost everything else on this planet) are our enemies. They despise us, and want to crush us, and the more they feel threatened by us, the more vicious they will become. I’m afraid this is a war that during my remaining lifetime we will be losing.
Do not despair, we’re not gonna lose. Gradually they’ll realise they have panicked. They’ll come to their senses one by one when the law of unintended consequences proves itself once again.
I didn’t say the war would be lost, just that I won’t live to see the victory. I’ve got a few decades left, hopefully, but not a century.
It’s interesting how people become far more outraged about censorship on YouTube, than on corporate media.
At least on YouTube you can find some alternative views and ideas, you can watch the protest marches and a range of dissenting voices.

My point is really more about how people have fallen for this narrative that new media like social media, YouTube etc are causing an epidemic of misinformation and fake news.

In the past we had traditional media feeding us controlled misinformation. mixed in with truth. But the key thing is that it was controlled.

The YT notification email only references jabs. If DD had criticised the passports only, without mentioning the jabs, I wonder if he would still have been censored and what YT’s notification would have said?

I’ve just watched his speech. It was alright. About 3% as radical as I wanted it to be.
We are not having a crisis of free speech as Laurence Fox recently tweeted. It’s much worse. We are having a crisis of democracy. A global fascist state is dictating norms and imposing itself on nation-states across the West. There are many traitors at the nation-state level facilitating this, and we can see who they are. Anyone voicing support for the nation, or the old freedoms is censored and blocked. Even fully elected politicians. when you silence David Davis, you silence the thousands of men and women who voted for him.
This will only get worse without direct action. The traitors must be removed from power, and robust new laws put in place restraining international organisations such as the World Economic Forum, the United Nations and Big Tech. If we fail to do this, we disgrace the war dead who fought for our liberties and freedom and leave an unspeakably evil and hateful world to our descendants.
National governments should not have allowed nearly all public discourse to migrate to international technology platforms. They have now put themselves in a corner. To argue that these platforms must be banned is to be accused of stopping free speech, or even harming the many businesses that use them.
But as we can all see, FB, Twitter and Google must be heavily restrained. They do not get to dictate what people say and think, or what knowledge is shared and passed. No one voted for them. Just curious, has anyone heard the words track and trace lately? Why is it when the government makes expensive serious mistakes, no one admits it. The mistakes just slink away without anyone noticing. Will it be the same for “vaccine passports” even though they haven’t been mandated, yet.
I recall a TV documentary a few months ago reporting that working from home uses more co2 than commuting if you drive to work less than about 15 miles from home …. The internet creates bucketloads of CO2, and the servers actually warm the oceans (sea water is often used to cool them).
One way to reduce global warming would be to shut down the likes of you tube, Facebook, and the like … Or at least government should tax their use ….
Probably depends a bit on their domestic heating, but it could easily be true. And guess where the equipment of the firms mentioned is likely to be, so as to minimise tax etc. Quite a lot of long distance transmission on account of that.

Homo sapiens can not change sex, sex is determined at conception, therefore no individual is able to transform or transit from one sex to another after birth. Sexual intercourse is not love! Sexual intercourse is a biological process to fertilize an egg. But sex also helps create/maintain a bond between parents to improve the chance of raising offspring to adulthood (that’s the purpose of those warm happy feelings you get about your partner(if you’re lucky)) I’m sorry to be the one to burst the bubble, but sex between two infertile individuals is just lust, in this case the opposite of love isn’t hate, its just a fact.
I’ve nothing against homosexual relationships (it’s none of government’s business or mine) & I have sympathy for individuals who suffer gender dysphoria, they should get the support & help they need, good luck to LGBT, but please stop trying to convert me to your delusional naivety.
