According to a startling news brief published by the French weekly newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche (JDD) last Sunday, no fewer than 43 Jewish pupils have left Parisian public high schools since October 7th, the date of the Hamas massacre in Israel, due to increasing “attacks and threats” against them and the schools’ inability to “ensure their protection”.

In Paris, 43 students of the Jewish faith have joined private schools since October 7th in response to the troubling rise in attacks and threats against them. Some Principals of public high schools are sometimes intervening directly to help them join a Jewish school by picking up their phones and to warn about their “inability to ensure their protection”.
The report emerges just days after French President Emmanuel Macron paid homage to 42 French victims of the October 7th massacre in an official ceremony, calling the October 7th massacre the “biggest antisemitic massacre of our century”. Unlike former French Presidents Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande and numerous other prominent French political figures, Macron did not attend a massive non-partisan “March Against Anti-Semitism” which was held in Paris in early November. The March Against Anti-Semitism was already called as a response to the startling surge in antisemitism which followed the “biggest antisemitic massacre of our century”.

Stop Press: Antisemitic attacks in the U.K. hit an all-time high last year in an “explosion of hatred” against the Jewish community, according to the Community Security Trust. There were 4,103 antisemitic incidents in the U.K. last year, an increase of 147% compared to the 1,662 recorded in 2022 and 81% higher than the previous annual record of 2,261 in 2021.

The number of anti-Semitic incidents jumped 147 per cent last year to record levels, with a massive surge in the wake of the Hamas atrocities on October 7, a report said.
The Community Security Trust, a charity, recorded 4,103 instances of anti-Semitism, up from 1,662 in 2022. It included 266 violent assaults on Jews, up 96 per cent year-on-year and the highest figure since the CST started gathering data 40 years ago.
For the first time, it recorded at least one anti-Semitic incident for every police force in the UK, with the majority – more than 2,400 – in London, including some at vigils for Hamas’s Israeli hostages.
Home Secretary James Cleverly last night condemned the figures as ‘utterly deplorable’. Ten of the violent incidents involved fake firearms and three involved knives. Victims were struck with metal bars or other objects in 13 cases, 53 were punched or kicked and 36 were spat upon.
A further 58 saw stones, bricks, eggs, bottles or other objects thrown at victims.
Offenders removed Jews’ religious clothes or accessories in 15 cases, and vehicles were driven at pedestrians in a further ten.”

I find it dispiriting that some of us seem to have descended into knee jerk downvoting, especially on this subject. I think we should be better than that.

Because they aren’t ”decent people”, they are the ”nasty, warped sickos” that I refer to and I have no qualms at all about calling them out.
At the end of the day antisemitism is never acceptable just like supporting terrorists is never acceptable, and if anyone has a problem with that then they’re living in the wrong place and we don’t want that sort of trash cluttering up civilized society here in the West. There’s about 57 Muslim nations that I think they’d be far more suited to if this ( as in the DM article plus the incessant hate marches ) is what they think is a reasonable way to treat fellow citizens and show their lack of patriotism and respect for their country. I think one of the biggest ironies for me is that many on these hate marches will have had grandfathers or great-grandfathers who fought and died for their freedoms to go out and protest at all! How twisted is that?!
I fear it will be the “biggest antisemitic massacre of our century” so far.

Let us not forget that our “friend” from Germany in the 1930s made a point of stirring up anti-semitic hatred amongst the Arab nations.
I am against all physical violence, especially against completely innocent people who have done absolutely nothing to justify any attack, whether they be Jews, Muslims, Christians or anything else.
But I do regard this sudden mass of exact figures citing this large number of incidents against Jews here, and another exact, huge number of another type of incident there, as being somewhat suspect. I also question why I can write critical comments against UK policies, German, Italian, French policies, essentially any policies in the world, without anyone raising so much as an eyelid. But criticize any Israeli policy and, wow, you are an anti-semite!
