Recent events in Ireland, when an Algerian man with Irish citizenship stabbed several people including two children which led to riots, suggest that there may be concern in some sections of Irish society at the current levels of immigration. But the Irish are lucky. Their Government has already told them how many migrants they, as signatories to the UN Compact on Safe and Orderly Migration, expect to import over the next 17 years.
In 2019, the Irish Government published a national planning strategy called ‘Project Ireland 2040‘. The document states:
The aim of Project Ireland 2040 is to construct an improved Ireland for all of us. By 2040, there will be approximately one million additional people living here in Ireland. This population growth will require hundreds of thousands of new jobs, new homes, heightened cultural and social amenities, enhanced regional connectivity and improved environmental sustainability. Project Ireland 2040 sets out to deliver these.
Here are some of the main objectives of this plan:
- Guide the future development of Ireland, taking into account a projected one million increase in our population, the need to create 660,000 additional jobs to achieve full employment and a need for 550,000 more homes by 2040;
- Of the one million extra people:
- 25% is planned for Dublin, recognised as our key international and global city of scale and principal economic driver,
- 25% across the other four cities combined (Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford), enabling all four to grow their population and jobs by 50-60%, and become cities of greater scale, i.e., growing by twice as much as they did over the previous 25 years to 2016, and
- with the remaining 50% of growth to occur in key regional centres, towns, villages and rural areas, to be determined in the forthcoming regional plans – Regional Spatial and Economic Strategies (RSESs)
Some interesting issues arise with this plan. Firstly, most governments can barely plan beyond next week, so how could the Irish Government in 2019 plan for more than 20 years ahead? There are general elections in Ireland every five years and presidential elections every seven years. So what would be the point of one Government or one President producing a 20-year plan? This would only make sense if the main political parties and the presidential candidates were almost indistinguishable from each other and if they were all pursuing almost exactly the same polices. This would make Irish elections largely meaningless as whichever party or presidential candidate won would follow the same policies. A cynic might suggest we have a similar situation developing in Britain.
But the main problem with Plan 2040 is the expected increase in population of about one million people. The Irish birth rate is around 1.9 children per woman, down from four children per woman in the 1960s and 1970s. The U.K. is at 1.8. But replacement level is 2.1 children per woman. The indigenous Irish population is actually declining.
So, where are the extra one million people going to come from? Clearly – as the plan says nothing about encouraging new parenthood – this population increase can only be achieved through immigration from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. That’s 50,000 a year for 20 years – about 1,000 a week.
The ‘Project Ireland 2040’ also brings up another possibly interesting issue. The Irish population is around five million. Of these five million, around 80 percent – four million – are indigenous Irish. Even if the indigenous population remains stable, then, of the six million people who (the Irish Government predicts) will be living in Ireland by 2040, around two million – one in three ‘Irish’ – will be an immigrant, mostly from Africa, the Middle East and Asia. However, were the indigenous population to decline because of the falling birth rate and a long history of native Irish emigrating to the U.K. and other English-speaking countries in search of new opportunities, then by 2040 more than one in three ‘Irish’ would be foreign born.
Ludicrously, ‘Project Ireland 2040’ has nice pictures of rolling Irish countryside and happy white Irish families.
Given the likely future make-up of the Irish population and the predicted growth of Irish cities, rather different images of the future Ireland might be more suitable. I haven’t crunched the numbers. But I’m sure someone much smarter than myself can take Ireland’s current rate of immigration, the native Irish birth rates, the rates of Irish emigration and the birth rates of the immigrant communities and work out the date by which the Irish elites would have ended up making the native Irish a minority in their own country. My personal feeling is that this fateful date for Ireland will be around 2060 – in just 37 years time.
Are the Irish aware that this is the future their political class has planned for them? I doubt it.

Just a guess, but I am assuming the Irish have continued to vote for establishment parties just as the British do too. Population replacement is an establishment agenda. It is so plain to see with your own eyes what is happening.

Population exchange is something that’s happening in the real world, where the future of every identifiable subgroup of some species still works along the very simple principle that its members either reproduce enough to avoid dying out or – well – die out. The idea that it’s sufficient to nail a poster which has Immigration Law!!1 written on it to a post at the border in order to keep out loads of young and enterprising people living in relatively miserable circumstances while an ever diminuishing number of OAPs live in wealth on the other side until finally, the last of them dies without turning the lights out and the place thus turns into an empty open air museum of its former occupiers does not fly.
The choices are 1) accept this and try to make the best of it and 2) ditch the 1960s ideal of ‘free love’ thanks to contraceptives. There is no third choice, all wailing and gnashing of teeth happening outside the active periods of ‘free love’ notwithstanding. Nietzsche would have called the insistence on waiting for someone to square this circle the typical anti-life agenda of decadents, by the way.

But if we are to believe the population replacement cult these young and enterprising people, don’t get old like western people, they don’t get fat and lazy; they don’t want state benefits, they work harder than the indigenous people, they bring huge amounts of diversity that enriches us all, they are more law abiding and they are more loyal to their host country than the native white British.
Come off it, pull the other one! If Japan and Korea can sensibly manage an ageing population without recourse to population replacement so can western countries.

These new hate speech laws in Ireland, man…Completely draconian!

Varadkar has been Taoiseach for four of the last six years. Micheál Martin was Taoiseach for two years, from 2020 to 2022, not that anyone, including yourself, noticed.
According to their own words these Irish politicians dislike their own country and people. Yet the Irish will still vote for them (perhaps the remaining Catholics among them should note 2.Tim.iii.1-5; particularly ‘without natural affection’).
The one thing the Chinese have in their favour is that their leadership doesn’t hate them. And the CCP has humbled the God of the religion of peace.

The accepted wisdom of the elite is that a stagnant population equals economic decline. Yet these are the same people peddling de-growth policies. When I studied Regional and Urban economics in the 90’s we had a data investigation of Mumbai (then Bombay), and Malmo. The general view of all of us unspoken was that Malmo was more economically viable because it had a controlled and manageable population. The lecturer (who has probably been cancelled by now though he might have kept his mouth shut to get his Prof ship, said Bombay is chronically over-populated that’s why it has such a Dickensian labour market. He then said The homogeneity of Sweden is the reason for the West’s successful economies, but as we age there will be calls to invite more immigrants, in fact there already are we should restrict population size in favour of a small, productive nation state. Otherwise our welfare states are doomed. Anyone who has studied labour market economics even with wage floors know this but the arrogant clique who govern everywhere are both lacking in genuine intellect and don’t have to live forever in Thamesmead, Kilbarack or Govanhill.
Ah the good old days of reason and logic. I remember doing A level economics in the 70s and we plotted UK population and extrapolated into the future to guess what it meant. We had a low, medium and high growth rate and it was all agreed the low growth rate held the best prospects. Then along came the new world order whose mission it is to destroy the nation state by flooding the nations that matter with immigrants.
Prominent members of the German Greens are making roughly the same statements about ‘dull’ Germany changing for the better¹ through mass immigration of non-Germans. This – again – strongly suggests a centrally coordinated PR campaign.
¹ Let’s face it, shopping for groceries every day and nothing ever happens is incredibly dull. It’s much more exciting when you can never know if you’ll come back from the supermarket alive again.
As written quite some times in the past already: The root cause of the problem is shrinking native populations in fertile and wealthy countries. This will necessarily attract soldiers of fortune from poorer regions of the world. Our establishment elites only believe they’re in control of this, while it’s in fact happening with or without their consent due to the circumstances.

I’m going to be controversial here: Islamicisation is the only hope for the Irish because Islamicisation has historically been about conversion rather than replacement.
The Muslim populations of Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Somalia, Morocco and, yes, Palestine are not ethnically Arab.
In an Islamicised Ireland native women would have the same “breeder, cook and cleaner” status as the invaders and would be likely to have the same birthrates, so the sooner it happens, the better. Muslim states are not keen on mass immigration.: see the recent Pakistani expulsion of Afghans.
That is controversial and food for thought.
Years ago listening to an In Our Time with Melvin Bragg on Islam and its success at spreading – it was pointed out that the muslim invaders offered their newly conquered peoples tax advantages if they converted or left them to pay (double) taxation and keep their own religion if they preferred. It is always about money.

We used to think much more highly of people looking after the children and the house while the men where working in the fields (original situation) as they’re doing absolutely essential work. Coincidentally, birth rates where much higher before it was decreed that the only worthwhile occupation of anyone’s time is one which makes money for other people. While islamicisation would certainly cure americanisation as side effect, it’s not something worth striving for just because of this.
History is a curious thing. It usually catches everyone out. History can turn in a few months and not the way expected. No one guessed in 1985 the fall of communism in Russia and Eastern Europe only 4 years later

The Irish actually had left the EU and what an own goal they scored by having another vote, accepting the bribes, and returning. The idea is for countries in the EU to all just become regions rather than nations, and for immigration to be a free for all and borders wide open.
