As expected, the old political parties went the public to believe it is unfair or wrong that Reform has been given large donations.
It is completely OK for Labour to receive vast sums from the unions, the coop and Sainsbury but others mustn’t. The LibDems can accept £2.5million from an overseas resident who was gaoled for fraud soon after and no query is raised.
The Tories received £5million from Stuart Wheeler when they were out of cash and no query was raised. Allow for inflation on all these numbers and they become much bigger.
However, the day following the announcement Labour Ministers are discussing with enthusiastic interviewers the new laws they intend to stop Reform getting large bungs ever again.
Do the words corrupt and banana republic come to mind when considering the British political class. I should maybe apologise because they hate being called British.
Will Reform become the Pariah Party, funded by the rich? That may be the way their reputation goes with normal people; we’ll see.
I would advise all future protesters wear the full burka if the Government want to ban face covering then they have to ban everything, including surgical masks outdoors.
I wonder how many of the village women now opposing the arrival of hundreds of immigrants in their village voted for one of the political parties who have brought them here.
Only Reform among viable parties has campaigned for their safety. I wonder if they will reflect on this or revert to their usual habit of trusting the untrustworthy.
The council is mainly lib dem it is Oxfordshire so naturally to be expected. But for me the biggest hypocrisy was the Lub Dem councilor on tv being supportive of the stop the camp campaign.
He is part of the party that actually supports and welcomes migrants regardless of legal status.
classic champagne socialist
The man in the burka was arrested…..
