Have you watched Channel 4/Verbatim’s documentary on Reform’s “secret foreign donations”? I’m not going to do a review of the documentary here (I am publishing a separate piece on my Substack), but I wanted to point out just how hypocritical the Left is on foreign interference – acting as if Reform is the dodgy/foreign funding party and Labour/Greens are whiter than white.
When I tweeted “Initial thoughts on the Reform sting: would Channel 4 commission me to show the nation all the foreign funding flowing into the Left?” it received a massive reaction (150,000 views at the time of writing). Although there were some angry replies – some potentially bots – I get the sense people would quite enjoy a recce on foreign funding the other way round.
There are all sorts of ways money flows from foreigners or foreign countries into UK politics. In this piece I’ve decided to behave as though I am a Channel 4 reporter coming after Reform in how discriminatory I am about what should and shouldn’t count as foreign interference on the Left, meaning I’ve also counted foreign funders who live in the UK. Without further ado, here are 10 examples of foreign funding on the Left:

What a brilliant article, thank you indeed. I came across Burr and Collins’ book Alms for Jihad, some years back. Two US diplomats researched the trillions going from Gulf States into Islamic projects in Europe and elsewhere, including Britain, via charities and healthy sounding projects. The Saudis tried to stop it, but it is available in the USA on the web. Scary, and no media outlet dares touch it.

This is great research but what also interests me is the way that foreign private investors own more than half of the children’s care provision in the UK. For example money from Saudi wealth funds make massive profits by providing specialist children’s homes. The cost to councils is so prohibitive no wonder they cannot provide basic stuff like keeping public toilets open, weeding pavements, fixing potholes, going after fake shop owners etc. Our precious local government system is totally skewed. I’d love to believe that Reform could start to fix this but the C4 video did make me wonder.
Social care in Britain, like hospitals and schools, were built on Christian foundational assumptions and not commercial companies for profit. Dumping Christianity has had unforseen consequences…
As usual plenty of facts, No MSM outlet will run a story because headlines about Reform are bait worthy. Same applies to Elon I hear many complaints about his interference in UK politics but none about Soros.
The point about Reform is what was illegal. What is illegal here?
Also, if Fair Votes is on the left, so is democracy. What alternative to democracy is being proposed?
Oh for the days when philanthropists built hospitals, libraries, museums and tried in practical ways to help their communities. Now we expect governments to do all that and the philanthropists want to change the world to reflect their opinions.
Not to mention schools where we now have Far Left Labour forcing them to close.

Yes. They used up at least two thirds of the broadcasting time on the programme – no other news until the last ten minutes or so. I wonder if it helps their advert revenue. After all, would anyone else produce something like that?
I wonder can you get this to the The Spectator, and MSM to get them to report as enthusiastically on the donations to Labour and its members? I bet they wouldn’t give it a second on their pages or news channels. It doesn’t fit with their political agenda
