Reform UK has accused Vodafone of “helping facilitate the invasion of Britain” after it emerged the telecoms giant supplied free SIM cards that ended up in the hands of Channel migrants. The Mail has the story:
Reform UK has threatened action against Vodafone after they defended the distribution of free mobile phone SIM cards to migrants.
Zia Yusuf, the party’s Home Affairs spokesman, pledged a Reform government would “immediately review” the mobile network operator’s public contracts.
He also said, if Reform wins the next general election, then it would exclude Vodafone from “all defence, national security and emergency services procurement”.
Mr Yusuf questioned whether the firm would be “as bold” after a Reform administration additionally toughened laws on aiding and abetting illegal immigration.
He lashed out after Vodafone rejected his demand to stop donating SIM cards to the Care4Calais charity, which then hands them to asylum seekers.
In a letter to Margherita Della Valle, the Chief Executive of Vodafone Group, Mr Yusuf this week accused the firm of “helping to facilitate the invasion of Britain by unvetted military-age men”.
The latest Care4Calais annual report revealed it had received 2,500 SIM cards loaded with six months of free data through its partnership with Vodafone.
Some 2,221 SIM cards were distributed by the charity at a former Royal Air Force base in Wethersfield, Essex, which is now used to accommodate migrants – including those who have crossed the Channel in small boats.

I was wandering if a quiet word with vodfone may have been a wiser choice. By all means take it to the next level if Vodafone refuses to play ball.
I am a Vodafone customer and lodged a complaint. I got the following response yesterday:
“Thank you for getting in touch with us and sharing your feedback.
VodafoneThree’s programme provides mobile SIMs to registered UK charities for distribution in the UK. Participating charities are regulated by the Charity Commission. All calls, texts and data are for UK use only.”
I don’t give a 4x whether the Charity Commission is regulating the criminal-migrant-facilitating “charities.” Or whether the calls, texts and data are for UK use only.
It should not be happening. Vodafone should not be encouraging illegal activity … which is leading directly to the deaths of many people in the channel.

For too long so-called charity NGOs have hidden behind a murky web of closet funders. In the end we find out that we are funding them through our purchases and taxes. Disgusting but AI is outing them. Now let’s name, shame and explore the background of those who sign off these decisions, pull them into the light and make them accountable for their actions. Sick of the murky goings on that are destroying this country.

I recently accepted vodaphone 5G for my broadband and after ignoring my request for it to start in September, they started last week and delivered the 5G receiver and hub. They told me that it would work at my postcode. But it didn’t work anywhere in the house I tried it. Only 4G was ok and I already have 4G. It’s not suitable for video calls. I tapped the link on their email for cancellation within 14 days but it had been cancelled itself. I spoke to a vodaphone robot which only answered different questions and put me through to Mo who was human. He could not cancel despite having the address to which they sent the item, my phone number and email and date of birth. They had to have a PIN which was somewhere in previous correspondence and I couldn’t see it without losing the conversation. They still haven’t cancelled but I won’t pay them.
And by the way, the number of the box was so small I needed 2 pairs of reading glasses and everyone pictured on the instructions was BAME.
AVOID.
With Vodafone? Cancel. What a rotten heap this country has become.

There is no such things as “free”. Everything has a cost which is incident on somebody. Vodafone’s subscribers will bear some of that cost but also H M Treasury (taxpayer) because Vodafone will claim a tax deductible for its charitable deeds.
It’s like capped bus fares. Who pays for this? Not the bus operators, but taxpayers. The idiots don’t seem able to figure out what they save on their bus fares, they will pay in increased taxes and/or reduction of other taxpayer funded activities like the famous “free” public services and “free” NHS.
And why would people who do not use buses subsidise those that do? The word “fair” gets aired a lot, but it is very selectively applied to designated favoured sectors, particularly to garner more votes.
