Today’s Big Socialist Event

The Socialist Blob is gathering in London for "Mobilising the Progressive Majority", a far-Left conference bringing the "progressive majority" together to "win as one". Charlotte Gill is keeping a beady eye on proceedings.

Today there’s a very important conference, as far as the Socialist Blob is concerned, titled “Mobilising the Progressive Majority”.

Taking place in Bethnal Green (a hotbed of socialism), the event is hosted by the organisation Compass and the Progressive Economy Forum (the latter of which I will have to park for now). Most people will have never heard of Compass, but it is a huge player in the Leftist circuit, and key to understanding what the Socialist Blob will do next (as well as its many different units).

The purpose of today’s event is to bring together the “progressive majority” – by which Compass mostly means a coalition of the Greens, the Lib Dems and Labour – to “win as one”. Bumf about the event explains: “With the far-Right on the rise, our climate in crisis and our democracy feeling fragile, it’s clearer than ever that we can’t keep doing politics the same way. The big question is: how do we come together to urgently build a credible, powerful, progressive alternative?”

Headline acts include socialist propagandist Gary Stevenson, Caroline Lucas (the former leader of the Green Party) and Zack Polanski. Andy Burnham was originally listed as a headline act, but seems to have since disappeared from the proceedings. However, many socialists are still pinning their hopes on him to deliver Proportional Representation, under which they believe their “progressive majority” can succeed.

The event will also be attended by union representatives, assorted professors, think tanks, charities (e.g. Oxfam), Hacked Off (Hugh Grant’s lobby group for press regulation) and the following MPs: Alex Sobel (Labour), Roz Savage (Lib Dem), Joe Powell (Labour), Stella Creasy (Labour) and Clive Lewis (Labour), who has received around £73,000 in donations from Compass:

The conference line-up makes for interesting reading, as it spells out the ultra-Left’s preoccupations and plans. One session is on how to “reboot the UK’s economic integration with Europe” – the socialist Left is generally pro-EU and connected to EU lobby groups such as the European Movement and Best for Britain – and another is on media reform.

Perhaps most interesting is the session titled “Electoral Tactics for the Progressive Majority with Forward Democracy, The Primaries Movement, The Muslim Vote and Green New Deal Rising”.

It shows how the progressive Left wants to join forces with ‘The Muslim Vote’ (which has its own X account as well as being a concept). The session also includes Green New Deal Rising, a group that Clive Lewis, Nadia Whittome, Zarah Sultana, Caroline Lucas, every Green MP and Jeremy Corbyn are attached to, as well as Forward Democracy, which is Carol Vorderman’s tactical voting coalition.

There are no coincidences here and everyone is part of a complex Left-wing ecosystem, whose techniques and funders are not yet fully understood by the media. I for one will be keeping a beady eye on today’s conference.

Where the word ‘progressive’ actually means the opposite – regressive.

…and the first forum debate will be about re-arranging the order of events so the right people speak last. Then there will be a debate about the name of the forum. Then there will be a debate about who the forum members should assign the greatest blame for the state of affairs. Then there will be arguments about how to arrange the seating. And so on, and on.

I’d love to know how every Muslim eligible actually voted (or not) and how that breaks down by location and their origins. I guess a big majority will have been for the Left or independents. The question that honest non Muslims on the left need to ask themselves is why they this is and where this will end up. Aside from perhaps some common ground with respect to Israel etc, it seems pretty obvious to me that the only reason that there could be a “Muslim vote” that acts as a block is because they want special privileges and special treatment. They already have all the same rights as everyone else. At some point long after I’m gone and they have taken over, there are going to be some very disappointed liberal lefties.

By recruiting Muslim block voters, the far left parties (Greens, Labour etc) are entering into a pact with the Devil. As you say, the realisation of what they’ve done will come too late to save them.

I’ve just finished a wonderful book by Scott Mariani: House of War.

In numerous places, it explains Muslim thinking and their aim to subjugate the whole world into becoming an Islamic caliphate.

Well worth reading to understand what’s actually going on.

Thanks for the recommendation. Probably too depressing for me. I’m still plodding through a collection of essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson that are at least uplifting.

Sample extract from Scott Mariani’s outstanding book: House of War.:

“Nazim slowly stepped around behind the captain, the blade still buried deep in the flesh and gristle of his neck, slicing and sawing as blood pumped down the man’s white shirt and spattered over the floor of the bridge.

” ‘Murderers!’ screamed the radio officer.

“Nazim or any of his men could have explained to him that this was not murder. The ship’s personnel were kuffar harbi, infidels at war with Islam; therefore they were enemy soldiers who spread corruption throughout the face of the earth; therefore it was not only permitted but mandatory under Sharia law to kill them, and in fact it would be a punishable offence to let them live. But why bother explaining anything to infidels?”

“Progressives” – another abstraction to mean “we the righteous, good people”.

What’s most amusing is that the madleft totalitarians do genuinely think that they’re “progressive”, and that the bureaucratic autocracy of the EU represents “democracy”, and that the madleft speaks for the majority of our people, and that the British people really do want Islamists to have more and more influence on public policy. They’re laughable and deluded – dangerously so.

I didn’t realise progressives are a majority. I’d better keep quiet from now on.
