I wasn’t sure where to place this article.

https://www.tenby-today.co.uk/news/planning/pembroke-power-stations-new-diesel-backup-plan-902822?

A new scheme to back up a gas generator station with diesel generators.

Quote: “mandatory that all electricity generators of over a megawatt have to adopt a new minimum standard of asset resilience; power stations must be capable of restoring demand on the National Grid electricity transmission system in the event of a total or partial shutdown of the National Grid system”.

Not wishing to burden an overtaxed populace already, but I wonder if this new mandatory requirement also applies to wind and solar farms?

That’s a good question – if they are looking to add a distributed black start capability across hundreds of locations, that’s going to be a) one hell of a large cost and b) a nightmare to manage if they ever had to use them in anger…

Laurence Taylor (doubtless acting under orders or existing policy) talks of a “gradual increase in terrorist threats for some time which has been driven by a rise in both Islamist and extreme right-wing terrorism”. Judging from the severe ratio-ing he is getting in the comments, most people see straight through the nowadays-obligatory inclusion of “far-right” in these press releases. Some go further and suggest that any clampdowns on “terrorism” and supporters of factions will be applied highly selectively to any opponents of Government policy. It’s very easy these days for any Goverment minister to choose from any number of incidents of known lone wolves with known mental health problems running amok in public, but selecting a “fat Somalian with a pen-knife” and attitude in order to justify raising the terror threat alert to “severe” smacks of desperation. Is there an election coming up?

I would be hard-pressed to name a single, credible Far-Right group who constitute any form of serious threat or who have the capability to do so. Surely they would be advocating for antisemitic attacks because they’re all Nazis and that, yeah?

I wish Ethnic European people could organize our own version of the Jewish “Shomrim Security Volunteers”. Why are they allowed to do this, and even partially funded by British Taxpayers, but we are not?

We could but it would require people organising and taking care of themselves. But too many have sold their souls to the all-powerful State and can no longer look after themselves… or want to.

Or hard-pressed to name a Far Right terrorist act.

”Terrorist “threat” is weasel wordy so the Far Right can be included.

It’s not “threats” that are the concern, it’s acts – and these come exclusively from the Left and Religion of Peace.

I think they always drop the obligatory mention of a supposed ‘Right-wing extremist terrorist threat’ because they’re loathe to acknowledge the naked Emperor and don’t want to be seen to be focusing exclusively on Islam. They don’t want to admit this is the biggest threat and most consistent danger citizens face on a daily basis, if we exclude the ever-present black gang culture that exists in urban settings like London. It’s so completely obvious and transparent.
So this ridiculous ‘Right-wing’ thing always gets tagged on to their statements. But do you remember the last time there was an actual Right-wing nutter who committed a terrorist attack? I honestly can’t remember. Jo Cox perhaps? But how many Muslims have murdered or attempted to murder citizens, or groups been thwarted by police before they could carry out their Jihadist attacks since Jo Cox’s murder? Who are the kids mostly taking knives into school? Native kids or those with a migrant background? I just never seem to hear about any people who aren’t Muslims, migrants or black people running about with blades on them. The laugh is that Sikhs must carry their kirpans as part of their Code of Conduct but they never… Read more »

It’s about time we separated these two words – “islamist extremists.” There are only islamists. The cult that is islam is in itself extreme.

Shouldn’t this be the mental ill-health threat? The threat of drug-induced mental ill-health. The threat of agencies failing to deal with their charges.

A senior policeman can announce that the ‘communities are united against those who would divide us’. What this means is that a community is a group of people who are spoken for by someone else. The people in this group are passive. They have no opinions other than what the speaker has announced. In other words, they have been depoliticised.

I would rather hear a lot less social instruction and political commentary from the police. They should be about their duties not acting as proponents for the establishment’s policies.

So they can murder our daughters whilst they dream of being Taylor Swift, they can gang rape our women and form gangs to commit ethnically targeted rape of young girls, they can stab us in parks and God knows where, and they can blow up stadiums whilst we’re locked up for protesting and told to sing about not being angry. Then one ‘Somalian-born British man’ (aka a Somalian man) who was ‘linked to an Iranian terror cell’ (i.e. has f*ck all to do with Iran) stabs someone, and we suddenly need to have the terror threat level increased? Odd. Except it isn’t.

I’d love to know why the downvoters think these men (still alive btw) are more important than the lives of four innocent little girls who were butchered in broad daylight, for which there was no such state response – in fact, the states response couldn’t be more different. Don’t fall into the trap.

There is no jew hatred and no Muslim hatred except that which is being drummed and provoked to anger us and keep us at each other’s throats.

That includes letting in droves of immigrants and treating them with outrageous privilege to infuriate us.

Don’t play their game.

Like AC, I agree up to a point. I was a young man in 1991, and had just joined the forces when I went with a mate to Bradford. At weekends there were running battles between the local English and the local Pakistanis. They hadn’t integrated at all and the two groups passionately hated each other. I heard the same thing was going on in other places like Sheffield. That was 35 years ago. So, although you’re right – the state is deliberately provoking and dividing us, there’s also very real cultural issues at play. And it is a sad fact that, given the wildly differing birth rates of the two populations, the English will be a minority on their own country at some point between the 50s and 60s. That’s not a foolish trap, it’s a mathematical certainty.

My original point wasn’t really about who to hate anyway, it was about how the state functions and the manner in which it gains more power.

The Henry Jackson Society has produced an interesting report here on Muslim sectarian politics in the UK;

”Muslim sectarian politics have become increasingly prominent in British politics. We identified over 100 Muslim sectarian candidates standing in the May local elections in England alone. Ahead of the local elections next week, we used the results of the 2024 locals to identify the drivers of Muslim sectarian success.
What is a Muslim sectarian candidate? Someone (Muslim or not) who made Muslim transnational causes (Gaza, Kashmir) a focus of their political activity, even though councils have no remit over foreign policy.
In the 2024 English local elections, across 1,902 wards we identified 66 wards (3.47%) which elected at least one Muslim sectarian candidate. We observed Muslim sectarians running as Independent, Green, Worker’s Party, and Labour candidates.

The drivers of a ward electing at least 1 Muslim sectarian in 2024 locals were: Higher voter turnout, Higher % that is under 30 years old, Higher % that is Muslim, Deprivation, unemployment, disability, household size & English proficiency aren’t significant drivers.
For more context, a one-point increase in ward turnout is associated with a 14% higher chance of electing a Muslim sectarian candidate. A one-point rise… Read more »

From the report;

”In this report, “Muslim sectarian” is used as an operational analytic category rather than as a claim about personal identity, private belief, or theological commitment. The term is intended to capture a specific mode of electoral mobilisation in which a candidate’s public political appeal is repeatedly structured around issues framed as pertaining to Muslim communal grievance, Muslim representation, or transnational Muslim causes. The classification is therefore behavioural and campaign-based, not identity-based.

More specifically, a candidate was coded as Muslim sectarian only where there was sufficient publicly verifiable evidence that he or she repeatedly and saliently foregrounded such issues as a central part of their political appeal.
Relevant themes included, but were not limited to, the Israel-Gaza conflict, the Palestinian cause, Kashmir, Pakistani or wider South Asian Muslim grievance politics, and Middle Eastern foreign-policy questions presented in a manner
directed toward a specifically Muslim communal audience.”

I don’t really understand your point. Sectarian in this context is obviously referring to the conflict between Islam and other faiths/beliefs; it’s not in conflict with itself.

Terror threat raised to severe. Really? For this attack. A fat Somalian with a lukewarm IQ goes a bit stabby with a penknife. Seems the very definition of ‘mental health’. Sounds like just your average ‘part and parcel’ to me. Now, if it was about realisation that the Afghans let in by the Government seem to be above average rapey and stabby I could understand it. So what’s the agenda here. Looking for an excuse to raise the terror threat level because of something else? Pressure from an outside country, or privileged individuals inside this country because of the community affected? What is it, cause it sure as hell isn’t because of the threat of a fat Somalian with a penknife.

Of course not. But the difference is between this one isolated incidence and the everyday nature of violence in the U.K. Looking at Duck Duck Go they say that on average there is a fatal stabbing every 17 hours. In London according to the Evening Standard there are 40 knife offences per day. So, what’s the extra special nature of this one that it warrants wall to wall coverage, a COBRA meeting and threat raising to severe. Nothing I can see so what is the reason,

It’s based on intel which shows the wider threat level. However, look at this absolute crock regarding ‘Extreme Right Wing’ terrorism. It’s like they’re obliged to mention that, they can’t just mention Islam on its own. When’s the last time we saw a neo-Nazi going on a stabbing rampage or mass shooting? Those guys are all mouth and no trousers;

”The Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) has today (30 April 2026) raised the UK National Threat Level from SUBSTANTIAL, meaning an attack is likely, to SEVERE, meaning an attack is highly likely in the next six months.
The increase in threat comes following yesterday’s stabbing in Golders Green in North London, but it is not solely a result of that attack. The terrorist threat level in the UK has been rising for some time, driven by an increase in the broader Islamist and Extreme Right Wing terrorist threat from individuals and small groups based in the UK.

While the UK National Threat Level set independently by JTAC reflects the terrorist threat in the UK, it comes against a backdrop of increased state-linked physical threats which is encouraging acts of violence, including against the Jewish community.
This is an independent, systematic, and rigorous process, based on the very latest intelligence and analysis of internal and external factors which drive the threat.”

So, not terrorism caused by a mental fat Somalian then. He isn’t the mastermind behind some terrorist cabal or part of a far right or even probably even an Islamist network. What has triggered this? Maybe they just cannot bring themselves to say that a veritable army of underemployed immigrants from cultures that have their own ethnic and gender hatreds brought onto our streets (statistically not the faaaar right white Brits) is leading to a tsunami of violence directed at whatever community they hate most.

Why are Third World Ethnic attacks on Jewish people a “national emergency”, any more than all the other Third World Ethnic, particularly Muslim, attacks on the rest of Britain’s population, or the rest of humanity, for that matter?

Why are attacks on a few Jewish synagogues and people vastly more important than all the thousands of attacks on British churches and people? In contrast to the thousands of British child victims, how many Jewish children were victims of Muslim Rape Gangs? Zero, it seems.

Maybe they just cannot bring themselves to say that the influx of legal and illegal immigrants from cultures that have their own ethnic and gender prejudice, plus a greater propensity for mental health issues, have been allowed to settle here. This, in turn, is leading to a tsunami of violence directed at whatever people they dislike, or want to assert themselves over, most. But they can’t say it can they?

What I find as curious is the way people can switch on a sixpence if it means their world view can remain intact. Even supposed sceptical people that have, apparently, zero trust of the state will, if it means they can hold onto their beliefs, suddenly trust and defend the state. And they’ll do so without the slightest realisation of their 180 degree turnaround. Psychologically, it’s fascinating.

Yes, well, it’s appears to be a manufactured ‘crisis’ to advance an agenda by implementing some disproportionate solution. Note: This hasn’t happened for all the other ‘terror’ attacks commited against the English, including young girls. That’s what’s particularly interesting about this one.

About 6 years ago, we had to cope with some over reaction to a health problem, I seem to recall. But you’re right to observe that there seems to be an element of that now, especially when a particular problem is strongly linked to a particular location for whatever reason. After all, next Thursday is polling day.

Exactly. People also overlook the fact that the Jewish community in all western countries have long established Vigilantes called “Shomrim” security volunteers to protect Jewish communities, and they are quite right to do so.

The Jewish security volunteers first on scene of Golders Green attack – BBC News

And yet, if any Ethnic Europeans tried the same thing to protect themselves against the Islamic Horde, there would be uproar from the Leftists, and the Jews, who would shriek that they were fascists, far-right, brownshirts & Nazis.

Not for “this” attack, but because it is the latest in an escalating series of abuse and violent attacked against Jews and their property.

The threat level should have been raised long before now – 1997 in fact when the Blair creature got into No 10 and started the colonisation of Britain by The Third World.
