Nick Dixon and I will be recording an episode of the Weekly Sceptic live at Lola’s, the downstairs bar of the Hippodrome, between 7pm and 9pm on December 11th. The famous casino is located on the corner of Leicester Square and Charring Cross Road, but Lola’s has its own dedicated entrance at 10-14 Cranbourn Street, London WC2H 7JH, which is the first left if you walk up Charring Cross Road with your back to the Hippodrome.
Tickets to the live recording of the podcast are £25 – a steal for what is effectively a two-hour West End show – with the doors opening at 6.30pm. However, for £125, you can also come to a sit-down, two-course dinner at the Hippodrome’s Heliot Steak House with Nick and me afterwards, with the ticket price including a donation to Based Media Ltd, our new podcasting platform.
Lola’s is a seated venue with a proper stage and PA system, as well as a bar, and has a capacity of 180. Nick will be introducing the event by doing a bit of stand-up comedy and, if we’re lucky, he will also do his note-perfect Jordan Peterson impression later in the evening.

I would like to attend with my JUST START OIL T-Shirt on . I would ofcourse have on a nice a pair of flannels though and be wearing some of my 8 quid after shave from NEXT. —-You guys should try it. It is a very pleasant after shave so why spend 60 quid on Paco Rabanne or whatever. ———-Yep I hope all have a pleasant and entertaining evening but remember ——-JUST START OIL. And you are not required to block any traffic or glue yourself to the road.
What happened to James Delingpole and Toby Young’s podcasts? I haven’t seen them advertised in quite a while.
I think they stopped them – I saw a reference to them deciding to agree to disagree (amicably). I used to read about them but not listen to them and it sounded from the comments like they had run their course.
