Now I wonder if the “London Calling” name is a nod to the section in the Private Eye of the same name I mention in the comments under the previous article…
Somehow I don’t think the world’s got any less mad since their (4th May) 1984 edition!
And yes, relatively well paid teachers who supported lockdowns up to the hilt and now expect someone else to pay for them are indeed highly iniquitous!
Public servant strikes for pay is disingenuous as the remuneration package is never publicly discussed. The pensions are generous as is the annual leave entitlement (26 days ,rising to 33 days after 10 years service +8 Bank Holidays) & not to mention the sick leave policy.
