The Omicron variant has alarmed health officials since its discovery in Botswana earlier this month, spreading rapidly through South Africa and into Europe and Asia.
Scientists fear it could become a so-called ‘escape variant’ that is resistant to current Covid vaccines, and the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified it as a ‘variant of concern’.
President Joe Biden has imposed new travel restrictions on Botswana, South Africa and six other sub-Saharan African countries, also urging Americans to get their vaccines and booster shots. As of Friday, the variant has not been spotted in the U.S.
Hochul said: “We continue to see warning signs of spikes in Covid this winter, and while the new Omicron variant has yet to be detected in New York state, it’s coming.
“Today I signed an executive order to help boost hospital capacity ahead of potential spikes. Through this action, we will also be able to acquire critical supplies more quickly to combat the pandemic.
“I urge New Yorkers to take advantage of our greatest weapon in the pandemic: the vaccine. Get vaccinated and get the booster as soon as you are able.”

What we see is a desperate need for constitutional protection against warped claims of ‘EMERGENCY!’ being used to promote totalitarian measures. I know it’s too late now – at this point with regard to the shit show – but the new criminal class seems not to have to provide real evidence that can be tested in order to claim black is white.
Of course, in the rare situations where courts have demanded evidence and rationale, governments have lost – but usually to be supported by higher courts where graft plays a greater part.

And yet I was reading earlier that the symptoms of this variant is tiredness and a raised heart rate, which passes of in a couple of days. No loss of taste/smell, runny nose, cough etc. Sounds a doozie and if this would give me covid antibodies, sounds like one to catch. It could be a pledge of allegiance – in criminal organizations you are required to commit crime and let it be known to other members, so that they have a way of blackmailing you in case you should reconsider participation. Anyone remember the Indian variant where a large part of the Indian population were going to be wiped out? It made the West panic but the Indians just bunged everyone Ivermectin and antibiotics.
