Vaccine Safety Update

The 19th of our round-ups of Covid vaccine safety reports and news from a group of medics to inform the debate on vaccination.

4 min read

This is the 19th of the round-ups of Covid vaccine safety reports and news compiled by a group of medical doctors who are monitoring developments but prefer to remain anonymous in the current climate (find the 18th one here). By no means is this part of an effort to generate alarm about the vaccines or dissuade anyone from getting inoculated. It should be read in conjunction with the Daily Sceptic‘s other posts on vaccines, which include both encouraging and not so encouraging developments. At the Daily Sceptic we report all the news about the vaccines whether positive or negative and give no one advice about whether they should or should not take them. Unlike with lockdowns, we are neither pro-vaccine nor anti-vaccine; we see our job as reporting the facts, not advocating for or against a particular policy. The vaccine technology is novel and the vaccines have not yet fully completed their trials, which is why they’re in use under temporary and not full market authorisation. This has been done on account of the emergency situation and the trial data was largely encouraging on both efficacy and safety. For a summary of that data, see this preamble to the Government’s page on the Yellow Card reporting system. (Dr Tess Lawrie in June wrote an open letter to Dr June Raine, head of the MHRA, arguing that: “The MHRA now has more than enough evidence on the Yellow Card system to declare the COVID-19 vaccines unsafe for use in humans,” a claim that has been ‘fact checked’ here.) Boris Johnson said in October that being double vaccinated “doesn’t protect you against catching the disease, and it doesn’t protect you against passing it on”. We publish information and opinion to inform public debate and help readers reach their own conclusions about what is best for them, based on the available data.

Summary of Adverse Events in the U.K.

According to an updated report published on November 19th, the MHRA Yellow Card reporting system has recorded a total of 1,271,009 events based on 386,517 reports. The total number of fatalities reported is 1,784.

  • Pfizer (24.2 million first doses, 20.6 million second doses) now has one Yellow Card in 185 people vaccinated. Deaths: 1 in 39,607 people vaccinated (611).
  • AstraZeneca (24.8 million first doses, 24.1 million second doses) has one Yellow Card in 105 people vaccinated. Deaths: 1 in 22,103 people vaccinated (1,122).
  • Moderna (1.5 million first doses, 1.3 million second doses) has one Yellow Card in 85 people vaccinated. Deaths: 1 in 78,947 people vaccinated (19).

Overall, one in every 131 people vaccinated (0.76%) have experienced a Yellow Card adverse event. The MHRA has previously estimated that the Yellow Card reporting rate may be approximately 10% of actual figures.

  • Thrombosis/Embolism (All types)= 7,391
  • Anaphylaxis = 1,427
  • Acute Cardiac = 17,753
  • Herpes = 4,468
  • Blindness = 439
  • Deafness = 633
  • Spontaneous Abortions = 626 miscarriages + 17 foetal deaths
  • Migraines & Headaches = 125,498
  • Central Nervous System Haemorrhage (Stroke) = 2,745
  • Guillain-Barré Syndrome = 529
  • Facial Paralysis incl. Bell’s Palsy = 1,844
  • Vertigo/Tinnitus = 10,338
  • Seizures = 3,006
  • Paralysis = 1,226
  • Tremor = 11,732
  • Epistaxis (Nosebleeds) = 3,198
  • Reproductive/Breast Disorders = 46,414

1 in 138 get adverse reaction. Bet that’s worse odds than getting seriously with Covid. Some time ago I calculated (using that Oxford calculator) that I had a 1 in 2400 chance of being hospitalised with Covid.

My stat was 1 in 3300.
And in the event, it was zero as it was a complete nothingburger.

I heard today that my son’s maths teacher went to hospital with it when they all caught it the other week. He’s back at work looking hearty as usual today though. I just saw him.

On the other hand, my friend told me yesterday that her SIL had a PE combined with petechiae 4 days after her AZ , which sure sounds like VITT to me (the nurses apparently said they were seeing a lot of it).

Why do people keep pushing the narrative that the death rate among the vaccinated is greater than among the unvaccinated is alleged ‘proof’ that the vaccines ‘don’t work’ ?
The phenomenon is simply a result of the vaccination rate and an imperfect vaccine. Imperfect doesn’t mean useless unless you live in UtopiaLand.
Imagine a population where everyone was vaccinated. Where do you think the deaths would occur ? The same thing happens as the proportion of vaccinated increases.

THat doesn’t make sense. If it is the death RATE we are talking about (as you state) then the fact that the vaccination rate is high is irrelevant. The numbers are already taken into account.

As it happens, I don’t think the death RATE from COVID is higher in the vaccinated.

However, I am a lot less sure about all cause mortality. The Pfizer Ph3 study showed a 23.5% higher death rate in the vaccinated than the unvaccinated (21 vs 17). COVID is not the only way to die, no matter what the press may have you believe.

You have to do a comparison to the alternative. Not just an absolutist analysis. The side effects of getting covid, for the most part, are much worse,

I’ll give you one. Those data…how do the risks of those covid related side effects pan out by age? and those of the vaccine?

If it’s 85 year olds having heart attacks and so on from covid, while those from the vaccine are spread more evenly across the population, then the mass vaccination campaign is insane. A 25 year old is worth more to society than an 85 year old. Sorry if that offends your world view, but it needs to be said.

At no point does anyone advocating these vaccines seem willing to share risks of vaccination by even age (to name one obvious risk factor), against those from covid. I’ve seen it for myocarditis in the young – which showed by some margin that the vaccines were more dangerous – but nothing else.

To not share these data, which they MUST have, is disingenuous to the point of dishonesty. Why? If the data were compelling, I’d consider a vaccine. But I need to see them. I have not seen anything that would allow me to calculate MY risk – which would involve data broken down by age, sex, BMI, and comorbidities.

Everyone knows that just a couple of years ago any vaccine or medication that was even slightly under suspicion of the tiniest fraction of adverse events like as this lot are now, with knobs on, without question would have been removed like a shot!

So WTF is going on here?

One thing is for sure, big Pharma and big corporates, in general, have history and they certainly aren’t noted for their benevolent love for all of us, or their charitable desire to protect humanity from nasty things. Nope, they are driven by something completely different! 3 guesses what that might be?

Now, rather like most of us on here, I wouldn’t classify myself as a ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ more of a ‘Sceptic’. Quelle surprise!

However, you gotta wonder about all those hushed whispers about a mysterious group known as ‘The Committee of 300’, who rumour has it, “decreed that there shall be a smaller, much smaller and better world. Their idea of what constitutes a better world is the culling of “The myriads of useless eaters consuming scarce natural resources who are to be culled by up to 99%.”

Ridiculous I hear you say. Well – “The Committee of… Read more »

Everybody should read The Real Anthony Fauci by Robert Kennedy. It explodes the whole myth that big pharma, Fauci, Gates et al are working for the good of humanity. He details all of the corruption, faking trial results, countless deaths, suppression of data and destruction of the careers of eminent scientists who dare contradict them.

ITEM: DAEN Australia – the equivalent of the Yellow Card reporting system – has logged (up to November 10th) 80,966 reports of adverse events, including 656 deaths.

The twits at Twitter have been at it again. Caldronpool posted a screenshot from the DAEN website of the Australian government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration showing around 800 adverse event reports for the Covid vaccines for Australian children aged 15 years and younger in the six weeks to November 11th and it has been censored, branded as ‘misleading’ with replies, shares and likes disabled. So, the government’s own data, from their own website, unedited, unaccompanied by comment, has thus been branded as ‘misinformation’ by the social media giant.

Eight hundred kids being harmed in the short-term in just over one month (lord knows, how many long-term casualties there might be) is something that must really be worrying the authorities (Australians tend to have fond regard for their kids). Might lead to vaccine hesitancy or something and they can’t have that because the vaccines were the only solution Australian governments had to get themselves off the hook for their lockdown disaster without having to admit to gross stupidity.

If the ‘safe and effective’ vaccine pillar wobbles then the whole… Read more »

The ongoing COVID-19 nonsense here in the United States exists solely and exclusively because our governments have failed to use the correct treatment. They used so-called “vaccines” when Japan has just proven, in less than ONE MONTH, that Ivermectin can wipe out the disease. IVM was awarded the Nobel prize for medicine in 2015. Data from week 47 HSA vaccine surveillance report.

  • 81% of deaths in the vaxxed.
  • 67% of hospitalisations in the vaxxed.
  • 63% of ‘cases’ in the vaxxed.

34% of all ‘cases’ in children. Clearly, kids getting infected is making a larger & safer contribution to herd immunity than vaxxing kids.
One other point, 279 unvaxxed people in their 20’s admitted to hospital in past 5 weeks, that’s 56 per week across the country. I’m surprised that this is filling up ICU units. 9 have died from this cohort, we don’t yet know how many of these had serious comorbidities & how many contracted the virus in the hospital.

Booster doses. Accordng to MHRA, the rate of reports submitted after boosters is currently about 1/30 of those submitted from jabs 1 and 2. I find that hard to believe.
When I asked MHRA if the adverse reactions from boosters is included in the Yellow Card Reports, they said yes (wow, I got an email from them!). If it were not for the ‘fact’ that the boosters are so low on submitted reports, I would have had to rework the the overall risks from these jabs. But it is not worth the hassle for just a 3% variation.
I have also asked the MHRA for the fatalities from the boosters – which they must have if they count the reports separately. So I am waiting to hear …

I spotted on recent UK Column coverage … from a few days ago … that UK Yellow Card fatality reports (per 100,000 people) are significantly lower than for either US VAERS or the EU’s system.

VAERS seems to have been designed to be as accurate as reasonably possible, although it seems that even now not all doctors use it. Making it a federal crime to fill it in incorrectly seems like a precaution against people playing the system.

My preliminary conclusion is that someone from on high is probably keen for not too many Brits. to know about the UK Yellow Card. Or maybe that’s just another ‘conspiracy theory’.

Yes, that is in the stats I posted in this thread. The Yellow Card Reports are more easily ‘tinkerable’ because they are not proper databases. The Acrobat files do not always add up correctly and information is sparse. From week to week, there can be several fatalities removed from the cumulative totals, without explanation.
The EudraVigilance databases show that 47% of all adverse reactions are serious. The Yellow Card Reports need medical knowledge and guesswork to distinguish what is and is not serious. However, what is serious is the subcategories ‘Death’ and ‘Sudden death’ coming under the category ‘General disorders’. They amount to 556 out of 1,784 deaths. There is no description, explanation or investigation.
So-called ‘General disorders’ are high on the list in Europe as well. This bloody spike protein and the other toxins seem to be able to strike anywhere in the body – and it is never investigated.

The more vaccinated the country the more problems they are having with Covid 19.

Eygpt just 3% vaccination rate with 14 cases per hundred thousand per day.
Israel over 80% vaccination rate with 5000 cases per hundred thousand per day.

(Dr Byram Bridle)

If that doesn’t scream out to people that these vaccines are not working and are in fact making things worse then I don’t know does.

The breakdown of reported death rates per vaccine is evidence that any assertion that these are ‘background’ rates is false. If they were ‘background’ rates they would be roughly equivalent. Anybody making such an assertion should be asked to explain why reported deaths for one vaccine are almost fourfold higher than another.

Something more relevant for longer term risk, and slightly more worrying, are the indications the Spike protein enters the cell nucleus and impairs DNA repair, there’s other indications it can reprogram the immune response mechanisms…

SARS–CoV–2 Spike Impairs DNA Damage Repair and Inhibits V(D)J Recombination In Vitro

https://www.mdpi.com/1999-4915/13/10/2056

This paper is discussed by Dr Mobeen Syed in this 38min lecture, although the subject is complex, his lecture is presented in such a way as to make it accessible to a wider lay audience.

Regarding reprogramming the immune response…

The BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 reprograms both adaptive and innate immune responses (downregulation of immune response to TLR4, TLR7/8)

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.05.03.21256520v1

TLR4 is Toll like receptor 4, TLR4 is also expressed on several types of tumor cells and plays an important role in carcinogenesis, metastasis, and cancer progression.

Abstract:

The importance of Toll-like receptors (TLRs) in stimulating innate and adaptive immunity is now well established. In view of this, TLR ligands have become interesting targets to use as stand-alone immunotherapeutics or vaccine adjuvants for cancer treatment. TLR7 and TLR8 were found to be closely related, sharing their intracellular endosomal location, as well as their ligands. In… Read more »

I understand the ATL desire to present an objective face in reporting this data. I support it entirely.

But this can tip over into over-compensation, as in :

The vaccine technology is novel and the vaccines have not yet fully completed their trials, which is why they’re in use under temporary and not full market authorisation. This has been done on account of the emergency situation and the trial data was largely encouraging on both efficacy and safety. “

Three incorrect statements :

  • There was no definable ’emergency’ as judged by historical data
  • The trial data was already showing a very low absolute risk reduction of ~1%
  • It is not simply a case of the ‘vaccines’ ‘not fully completing their trials’. The trials were abandoned, and cannot now be completed. They are screwed.

Has anyone on Telegram got any further thoughts from Mike Yeadon about the recent accuracy of the yellow card reports? It does seem as if the death rate has slowed down, which should not be the case with all the boosters. One of my personal hopes for Brexit was always that it would expose how hollowed out our own political system had become (all those years of simply gold plating legislation made in Brussels had made our civil service and politicians flabby and lazy) and bring about a new generation of better political leadership and senior civil servants.

The first bit has certainly happened and the “pandemic” has made the exposure even more stark. It’s clear we weren’t just subcontracting our democracy to Brussels – it had been entirely captured by big global businesses and by unelected global foundations like the Gates and Soros ones.

We don’t just need to take back control from Brussels – we need to take back control from all of these rogues, grifters and charlatans.

Wow. Really interesting data. Thank you.

I think comparing the “never vaxed” to the “at least once vaxed” gives a much better idea of the effectiveness (and safety) of the vaccination than comparing “fully vaxed” to “not fully vaxed”, which is what the authorities and vaccine zealots like to do.

Of course the zealots will point to the unvaccinated generally being younger than the vaccinated per 100,000 so we would expect lower mortality in the unvaccinated.

But that then does rather emphasise the point that there is little reason for the unvaccinated to accept the risk of the vaccine. And it is becoming less true over time as more and more younger people get the vaccine.

you do also need to take account of the “unvaccinated vaccinated” who got jabs but died under 28 days.

Not sure this graph does that?

MikeAustin
MikeAustin

Yes, it does. It includes 3 categories: “Within 21 days of first dose”, “21 days or more after first dose”, “Second dose”. That is, anyone who was interfered with by the vax at any time and in any way. So SMC has it right.
For further clarification of how the narrative is spun, I have attached a group of 3 charts. The first is all deaths (as SMC), the second is covid deaths, the third is non-covid deaths. They are all for the 10-59 age group.
Now you see that the covid deaths for the jabbed are twice as much. A ‘pandemic of the vaccinated’ shouts the government and state media! No! The arbitrary PCR tests makes it look that way.
If they insist that the PCR test has any validity, they must explain the increase in non-covid deaths for the jabbed. These are running at between 2 and 3 times more. And this is just the rate of deaths – not the totals. In the last week of data, there were 62 so-called covid deaths out of a total of 506. So if the jab is saving covid deaths, it is causing 8x more deaths from other causes.
Basically,… Read more »

Yes, this chart is most important. It is possible to produce charts in line with the narrative that show that the rate of covid deaths are higher in the unvaccinated. But such charts are based on the useless PCR test and are utterly meaningless.
Overall deaths is the best way to get an overview, bearing in mind any difference in ages.

Does anyone else open up the DS website, with excited anticipation, every morning, hoping to see the words “COVID jabs not safe, millions in line for compensation” (obviously there has to be a money angle)???
Thanks to Toby and co. for that morning feeling….one day it will all have been worth it.

There will have to be a totally new political regime for this to happen. For now, expect cover-ups, arse-covering, lies and distractions.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to claim compensation as I’m not stabbed, but as my wife is I’d ensure she takes whomever to the cleaners.

As I’ve said before being unvaccinated I’m 100% protected from initial side effects, I’m 100% protected from long term effects and I’m at least 99.8% protected from dying from covid. I like those odds.

I’m pretty sure, unless you are a v IT adept 80+ year old, or have comorbid conditions, your risk of COVID death is lower than that.

Well, the only guaranteed vaccine “protection” is that being given to the pharma companies against any claims. At the the moment the only compensation you will get is a government payment £120k if you suffer life-changing injuries, and be prepared for long fight to get it.

And in most cases a lot less than that. They’re gambling with life expectancy, and they’ll claw back some of it as inheritance tax (unless you donate it a charity in your will).

A study has suggested that Covid vaccines may only affect the menstrual cycles of women using contraception.

Well, that’s all right then. Thank goodness we asked.

When I first heard that these vaccines were starting to cause reproductive/menstrual problems, I headed off over to MumsNet (not my usual hang out place) to get some lowdown. Obviously most were oblivious to the potential side effects, and apart from a few well informed souls, nearly all were excited to bits to get them. But there were a number of threads with probably a couple hundred comments from women who were very concerned that things were “not right” and nearly all had made the link to the vaccine they’d recently taken. By its very nature the site is geared to women who are planning or have had children. Many concerned were trying to get pregnant. Some were pregnant.

I mean, don’t all vaccines affect the reproductive and cardiovascular systems? That’s normal right?
Astounding, absolutely baffling that people have convinced themselves that a 120÷ resting HR, deranged monthly cycles for women, and erratic BP numbers are “normal” reactions to the vaccine.

Cognitive dissonance… never underestimate its significance….even with know-it-all medics.

Just one example of so many…sheep to slaughter. Truly psychosis on a mass scale.
I don’t laugh when people joke about microchips in the shots. We’ve seen the medical device patents as well as documented visual evidence of th⅘e contents of these vials from multiple sources.
Of course, the TPTB would never do such an immoral thing, right? Right….?
RIP all the same, Thomas Flanagan.

wonder if he will think it is so funny in maybe 9 months time or when he has his first cardiac event [or when his brain turns mushy from all that local radio he can’t turn off and he can no longer practice medicine]

I must have done – I think I was so fixated on his humour in the first two that I thought someone else had posted the last shot as a joke and didn’t notice the dates

Governments might persuade a few vaccine sceptics if they attempted to engage with them, such as saying “compare risk of vx with risk of covid”. But we can see why they’re not doing so: they would have admit that the vx has a risk, which they’re flat-out denying. All they are saying to get people on side is “vaccines are safe, non-vxers will kill granny, end of story, we never lie, next slide please”.

I think this is why it crept into lower age groups

initially it was for the old/vulnerable with emphasis on it being safe (due to rushed nature of very imperfect trials)

then ‘if a 70 year old can have it and its safe, why not a 69 year old’

if you deny any risks then why can’t everyone have it ‘just in case’?

clot risk was a conspiracy theory until it was true

that it doesn’t stop you getting and spreading similar

then ludicrous bandwagon jumpers like Devi Sridhar claiming ‘its 100% safe for children’ that even the BBC had to edit because its a lie, there’s no evidence and nothing is 100% safe

add to that the hyper bedwetting of the covipanic class ‘sending children to school without masks or vaccine is like sending lambs to the slaughter’

they just got carried away

I remember seeing on the BBC in 2020 ‘don’t rely on a vaccine to get us out of this – they take years to develop and years to test’ – those were the days!

Sridhar has no expertise or qualifications in virology, immunology, epidemiology or pharmacology, and has a track record of being wrong regarding Covid19.

Correct. If she’s qualified in anything at all, it is anthropology.

But a more important qualification she has is that she’s a Friend of the Clintons. She has a first class honours in that subject.

They are also whipping up the lower levels of officialdom and the corporate-state opinion chain (including almost everyone who tells other people what to do a lot – from senior nurses to supermarket managers, from journalists to headteachers, from police commanders to the c***s at the local council) into a fury. This is akin to a military mobilisation. The two themes are

  • 1. Those beneath them are livestock who need to be CORRALLED.
  • 2. Those who try to subvert the corralling are ANTISOCIAL ELEMENTS.

Soon we won’t just be called granny killers – we will be called child killers too. Wait and see.
